Cabo Bretón Cottage, fuera del camino trillado ... Vistas espectaculares al mar / montaña!

Si usted está buscando algo fuera de lo común, lo has encontrado! Salir en la punta norte de la isla de Cabo Bretón, Nueva Escocia, la casa se encuentra en St. Pueblo de Margarita, en la bahía de St. Lawrence. Desde la cubierta delantera del pie 8x28 tienes una, sin obstáculos, vista panorámica sin desarrollar como el sol se pone en el océano. En temporada, se puede disfrutar de la langosta o cangrejo de las nieves locales atrapado en la bahía en frente de usted.

No muy lejos de la Ruta de Cabot, la casa es una buena base para el golf en Highland Enlaces en Ingonish (uno de los cursos de mayor audiencia en el mundo), la observación de ballenas o la pesca de altura del muelle cercano del pescador o la Caminata del Highlands Festival . Parque Nacional Cape Breton Highlands está a sólo 10 kilómetros de distancia, donde hay rutas de senderismo y otras actividades en el verano. Nuestros puntos de la familia por lo menos uno de los alces y un oso en este parque todos los años! Es muy emocionante para los niños!

Justo en el pueblo es un centro comunitario amistoso con acceso a internet (así como de ping pong para los niños y un aro de baloncesto). Hay un supermercado local con todo lo básico. Justo al lado del centro comunitario es un puesto de helados que es ideal para una cena rápida también.

Es un paraíso observadores de aves. Ver las águilas se elevan, los araos vuelan dentro y fuera de los acantilados abajo, o los alcatraces se sumergen en el mar desde la casa de campo. Usted podría incluso ver la vaina ocasional de ballenas en la bahía mientras se sienta relajarse o leer en la cubierta.

This was a superb location. The views are spectacular. It is isolated, which is what we were looking for. It was nothing it locked. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who does not mind some isolation.

First and foremost Meagan was fantastic with all aspects of their wonderful wonderful house! Can’t say enough good things about her communication with me other than to say it was outstanding. I would recommend their house to anyone who is looking for an unbelievable view and coziness! We enjoyed every minute there! The privacy that comes with this home is unparalleled. It’s perfect for 2-4 adults and possibly with children. It has everything one needs to get the most out of their stay in this beautiful area!!!

The cottage was a silent peaceful spectacular and wonderous pleasure. The views will instantly soothed a sole. The cottage is cute simple but adorable. Comfortable and cozy. With views from every window stunning. At night the stars shone so bright it was mesmerizing. Day by day night by night the channel marker off the coast sounded like a mournful whale. It became a calming feature you wanted and got very use to. Now being away from it,it is really missed. The mezmerizing sound is in the past. But hopefully will be heard again in the future. Thank you for that.

Wow, what a wonderful spot on this earth

Small, cozy cabin at the end of the world. What a wonderful place to stay. We absolutely loved it. The kitchen is well equipped and we didn‘t miss anything. The beds were comfortable and we loved having 2 rooms (a snoring problem), yet so close next to each other. We would always love to come again. Great little harbor with lots of lobster fishing going on. The supermarket is right in the little village and well equipped.

Excellent property, exactly as shown in the add

We had a great time at the cottage. It was clean and has everything you need. We spent our days walking the beach and hiking some local trails. Afterwards, you can walk down to the wharf and buy lobster right off the boat. We did and loved it! For us it was a bit overcast for a good sunset but it would be a great spot to view from. If you want a secluded fishing community for some peace and quiet, while still having a lot of sites to see, this is it.

Loved this rustic cabin on the ocean

We were looking for a place off the beaten path, and this suited us very well. Although we went out for lunch and dinner, the place was well provisioned and you could certainly cook meals there. Enjoyed the French Press coffeemaker, but there was a drip pot too if that's your preference. Everything was very clean.Note that if you are staying outside of the July/August season like we did, the close-by eating options (Sea Shack, Bay Cafe, Chucky's) are not open, so be prepared to head down to Morrison's or Angie's. We did have the pizza from ACA and it was very good.The water is pumped in from a well, which means that the water goes off when the electricity goes off, so fill a few pots of water so you have them when necessary.

Great getaway

Absolutely beautiful location, remote without being incredibly isolated. Great spot for access to hiking, biking, or just laying low. It had everything you need with a general store nearby, a kitchen and fridge, good shower, etc.

THE BEST

I fell in love with this place. Location, location, location! There's no Italian marble in the bathroom. If you want to cook a huge dinner for guests, you're pretty much out of luck. There's no huge TV or luxury living room, and it's not in a swanky neighborhood. This has something much more valuable than any of those things: seclusion. I stayed here at the end of October. It took me over 3 hours to get from Cheticamp because of an early-season snowstorm. The next day I sat looking out the kitchen window at hailstorms, snow squalls and even a couple waterspouts go by. The little house creaked and groaned. I felt like I was at the end of the earth. But it was warm and safe and I could finally concentrate on my writing. My dog Auggie and I loved going to Cabot Landing beach, and had a bunch of apples from the trees along the driveway. We also liked exploring the little ATV trails around the house that go down to the harbor. At night, you can see the lights from the tankers and freighters going through the St. Lawrence Seaway. Meghan is an exemplary host and is quick to respond to inquiries. The only thing I didn't like about her is that she wouldn't sell me this gem of a property because it was '...in her family for generations..." or some such nonsense . Anyway, this place is truly special. I hope to visit it someday in the summer when the restaurants and other facilities are open.

This cottage was just perfect! It had plenty of towels and wash/dish cloths, dishes and beds were comfy. We stayed most days and nights on the deck.....what a view.....You won't regret staying here!! Little grocery store down the toad was just right. w.

Great Fall Vacation

We spent 3 nights at this lovely, secluded cottage. Has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Is the perfect place to unwind. The manager was very understanding when we were late with our second payment. Thankyou! We were disappointed not to be able to walk to the top of the bluff in front of the cottage. The posted picture is misleading. Otherwise, a great stay!!

Just What I Needed

I felt like I needed to get away from everything. This place was PERFECT. I even signed up for an extra day. The place had everything I needed, and communication was excellent. The view was gorgeous, and my pup loved the mowed patch out back for spontaneous fetch sessions. Cabot Landing blew his little Chocolate Lab mind! The first thing I did when I got home was try to figure out when I could get back there.

Amazing spot

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The location was spectacular with gorgeous sunsets and so private. The cottage had everything we needed to cook some meals and enjoy the evenings on the deck. We used it as a base to explore the park and nearby beaches and hikes. Everyone we met and communicated with - the owners and the caretaker - were incredibly helpful and responsive. It's definitely on our list for a return visit!

Worth the Drive - Trust Us!

This is our second summer visit to this beautiful cottage, and we've already booked for next year! Amazing space stocked with everything you need. The cottage has stunning views from all directions and in the most beautiful place in the world. Beaches, hikes, the national park, whales! Truly a gem.

Wonderful 6 nights

Very thankful for the opportunity to stay at this property. Secluded, very clean and a more than adequate kitchen will make your stay enjoyable. We enjoyed all of the sight seeing to do right in the bay outside the home. Whales, seals, bald eagles, birds, rabbits and boats of all sizes are always coming or going. I would recommend buying a nice pair of binoculars as I sat outside for hours just watching the ocean at a distance. House furnishings are amicable and the beds were semi comfortable for our expectations. Just remember, you are paying for the seclusion so you will be a great distance drive wise from many of the places on the island which was perfect for us. Sydney etc are close to a 3 hour drive and Cheticamp was close to 90 minutes. Great places to eat in Cape North and Meat cove had a wonderful lobster roll. Thanks again
