This private, Jefferson NH home is located on 40 peaceful acres and offers privacy, stunning Mountain Views, and a mile and a half of private wooded trails. This home features an open concept living space, high speed internet, and a fully stocked kitchen. It is energy efficient with solar panels for both electricity and hot water and has a standby, automatic generator just in case of power outages! It also has Central A/C for those toasty days and a pellet stove for the cold nights!

One of the first things you will hear when you arrive is Alder Brook, a clear, mountain stream in front of the house. A perfect destination for hikers, snowmobilers, photo enthusiasts, skiers, or outdoors enthusiasts. This is a choice location for those looking for a peaceful retreat from the daily hustle and bustle of city life while still being accessible to many of the northern NH attractions…. 3.5 miles to Santa's Village, 17 miles to the Cog Railway, 19 miles to Bretton Woods, 24 miles to the Mount Washington Auto Road, 26 miles to Wildcat Mountain, 38 miles to Storyland, 39 miles to Loon Mtn/Lincoln, 44 miles to North Conway.

IDEAL for snowmobiling with ample on site trailer parking and very close to large trailheads with truck/trailer parking and access to the groomed trails heading to Errol, Berlin, Jericho, Gorham, Pittsburg, etc.

Recent upgrades are a downstairs Kids den with bunk beds and a large screen TV with theater seating, a Game Room with a Pool table and Bar for the adults, an outdoor Hot Tub with Mountain Views, as well as a Fire Pit with complimentary firewood for burning and a sitting area near Alder Brook.

Start the day by taking the family to the Waterwheel Breakfast and Gift House on Route 2. Take a short trip down the road to the Mt Starr King / Mt Waumbek trailhead off of Starr King Rd. Enjoy an easy hike or bike riding at the PondiCherry wildlife refuge. Ten minutes away on Route 2 in Randolph you can park at the Appalachia Trailhead where an easy hike brings you to Gordon Falls and then continue up the trails for more falls. Also just down the road is the Pond of Safety, accessible only by 4 wheel drive. After a day of hiking, snowmobiling, or running after the kids at Santa’s Village, wind down by soaking in the hot tub while watching the sunset on Mt Washington or head to the Copper Pig Brewery just 14 minutes away in Lancaster.

Please note that this is a quiet, peaceful area and there is zero tolerance for any behavior that is disruptive to the neighborhood. No parties, events, loud noise, or large groups are allowed. Please reach out if you anticipate having an event for prior authorization.

We had a great stay at Alder Brook Lodge. The house was clean and nicely kept. We had multiple families with young children and they all enjoyed the house, especially the movie/bunk room! Would definitely recommend for a group getaway.

We planned a visit to Santa's Village and Story Land with friends and this was the perfect place to stay. The kids enjoyed the bunkbeds and there was plenty of space to spread out. It's located in a great area and the house was clean and exactly as described.

Family getaway

Alder Brook Lodge is a beautiful property with amazing views. We were so impressed by the space we had for all ages to spread out. We loved splashing in the brook and having a pool tourney! Great response time from the host too! Would definitely stay again!!

Birthday weekend getaway

The property was secluded and quiet! House was gorgeous. It had plenty of activities to do even on rainy days like we had which made the time at home fun. We will definitely be adding this home to our short list we have of places we would rent again if we are out that way! Highly recommend!

Perfect NH Retreat

Extended weekend getaway for our off-roading group. 5 jeeps, plenty of parking, more than enough room for everyone to have privacy. House and property are beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. The stream is soothing and serene. Hosts were communicative and overall check in / out process smooth. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. Highly recommend!!

Great mini vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With 6 adults and 4 kids ranging from 1-8 there was plenty of room. The kids loved using the telescope to watch the Mt Washington train travel up the mountain. We all enjoyed the Theater room and the pub. Hannah is an excellent hostess and the entire house was very clean when we arrived. We look forward to coming back next year.

Perfectly Peaceful!

This property is amazing! Close to markets - but tranquil and private. Alder Brook Lodge is a great place to relax and enjoy family! From the pool table and theatre room to the hot tub and property grounds. I could actually sleep with a window open and not hear traffic! And even during the day-just birds and the brook- perfectly peaceful! And Hannah is a great communicator! Highly recommend - can't wait to go back. Thank you, Hannah!

Perfect mountain getaway

Property is exactly as listed. Amazing view of the mountains from the hot tub and living room. Sledding in the front yard made the kids very happy. Property was excellently maintained, very clean and up to date and well stocked. Everything was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. We had several small children and there was so much to do keep them entertained and the house was safe for them to play in. Definitely would love to come back!!

This was the absolute best rental my family has ever had! The house is beautiful and clean, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to use, the hot tube was so relaxing and definitely one of the things we enjoyed the most, but the best was the theater room and the pool table. My family must have spent the majority of our time playing pool and we had an absolute blast. Also the view is gorgeous, you can see the mountains right out the windows and we had a light snow every day up there; there is a small hill that was perfect for sledding and the host had sleds in the garage which was so thoughtful. The host is so responsive and nice, she replies within an hour of contacting her, and she allowed us to check-in early which was so incredible. Absolutely cannot recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation in the mountains, this is definitely the house to rent.

Beautiful Home and Property!

We had an amazing time at Hannah's home. Our family stayed here for the short trip to Santas Village (5 minutes down the road) and the house was perfect for 4 couples with children. The parents got to hang out by the cozy pellet stove while the kids had a blast in the basement with the bunkbeds and movie setup. Pulling up to the house with the Christmas lights on and fresh snow was something out of a movie. The house was very clean and stocked with everything you would need for a stay from the towels, plates, TP, coffee machine, seasonings, etc. There were also plenty of sleds in the garage too! The instructions were easy and Hannah couldn't have been faster to respond to any questions. We are already considering a summer stay!

Absolutely Wonderful

What a fantastic house!! We arrived at night so we had to wait until morning to see the spectacular view from the front windows. The house was better than described. We brought the kids and grandkids, it was a Santa's village weekend, which is right down the street!! There was more than enough room for all of us. Theater room was a hit too. We enjoy being able to spread out and this house allows that. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen very well stocked, and had plenty of starter supplies to last the weekend and longer. Hannah was extremely responsive and helpful. The grounds are lovely. There is nothing "right down the road", but not too far for groceries, coffee, and restaurants. We love the area. We are not skiers, but it would be a great house if you are. Everyone wants to go back, even if we don't go to Santa's Village again!! We will return. Thank you Hannah and family for sharing your house with us.

Perfect getaway in the mountains!

Our extended family stayed here to attend a wedding in Jefferson. This house and location were outstanding. The host was extremely responsive and the check in process was seamless. Hannah kindly arranged for us to check in a bit early so that we could avoid the weekend traffic. Upon arrival, we found a very clean, well stocked house with a great lay out. The beds were very comfortable, everything worked as it should, and the hot tub was well maintained and ready to go. The view was beautiful and the we enjoyed the fire pit and the gorgeous weather on the outdoor property. It was perfect in every way; one of the best that we've ever stayed in! We highly recommend this property!

Great Location

My daughter's wedding was in Jefferson NH this past weekend and the house was just 5 minutes down the road. It was very clean and spacious. We had 9 adults and one 8 yr old. Loved the amenities- view being #1, the 4 bedrooms with King size beds were great, the theater room, pool table and fire pit definitely got used. Unfortunately we did not get to use the hot tub :( The foliage was spectacular. The host was very responsive and accommodating, as well. I would recommend and would love to rent it again!

First and foremost, this property is special because of the spectacular views of Mt Washington but the privacy, the 40 wooded acres, and the stream in front of the house set it apart as well. In addition, we have tried to set up the house to give you a comfortable, relaxing stay with everything you need right there. This is not a bare bones rental with only the minimum furnishings. We have tried to think of everything you may need and if you do have any needs we will try to take care of them quickly.
