Family trip for the hoidays. Check in confusion. Place was not prepped for a stay and work crew not made aware. Still dirty from work being done on the place. Heat did not work, and difficulty getting in contact with the host. Kitchen not well stocked with drinkwear.

The kitchen had bugs infested in leftover food in the cabinets. Cooking utensils, and pots had food, residue. There were multiple holes in the walls throughout the house, leaving electrical wiring exposed, which a kid could grab onto. The master toilet did not flush. There was mold on the ceiling of the bathrooms. The washer and dryer were totally unusable and filled with mold and sand. There was water pouring into an open pipe every 20 minutes that made it impossible to sleep in the master bedroom due to the noise. The bedding was disgusting and full of stains. The overall condition of the property reflects nothing of what is advertised in the listing pictures. It is incredibly beat up, distressed, and in need of a lot of work, including ripped up furniture stained furniture ripped up and missing pillows, mismatched and stains chairs. There was evidence of an active leak on one of the exterior walls where paint was peeling and chipping from water leaking and leaving mold in the master bedroom. I arrived with two kids under two and was forced to leave right away. The host would not call me nor provided a phone number. VRBO could not reach them either. I requested a full. After a day they replied citing their cancellation policy and would not refund. After escalation over several days, VRBO refunded the entire stay due to safety concerns.

Weekend Getaway

Perfect location, just steps from the boardwalk and beach and a very short walk to downtown. My children loved the bunk beds. Easy check-in process and the house had everything we needed. We would love to stay again.

Mostly good

This is a nice apartment in a good location. But several items could use improvement: CLEANING: Drawers in kitchen contained crumbs; ants found on kitchen counter and 2 bedrooms; balcony was covered with sand and was slippery (we swept it and bought a dust pan and left it there); dryer lint collector was full of lint; washing machine gasket had mold / mildew; shower curtain liners in both bathrooms had mold / mildew. MISCELLANEOUS: Need directions to use the TVs; dining room light didn't work; toaster didn't work; no drinking glasses in kitchen - just mugs (we bought a few and left them there). Great location. That’s it

House had ants in every room. There was only one drinking glass in the kitchen There was not enough sheets and pillow cases for all the bedding and no wash cloths. We messaged the host about linens days before our arrival and we were told we didn’t need to bring any. After communicating that the linens were in short supply we received no answer from the host. The property location was good but would not rent there again.

Be Warned

We have stayed at many VRBO and other rented properties. All of them were fairly well equipped. Some even leave an arrival snack or breakfast food to cook on your first morning. This place gives you no warning that it has almost nothing. We had to make a run to a box store to get it up to speed. These items are not provided- toilet paper, bath soap, shampoo, laundry soap, paper towels, full size bath mat, salt, pepper, or standard spices. Not enough coffee cups, no bathroom hand towels, and no blow dryer. There were only five small bath towels for seven of us. No vacuum or dust pan. The dining room lights don’t stay lit. They just flicker. There weren’t enough chairs for the dining room table. The grill was filthy with a broken lid, plus the outlet on the porch didn’t work. If I didn’t have an extension cord we could not have used the grill ( which I had to clean ). There is no place to wash sandy beach feet. Marissa is a great communicator until you arrive. Then she doesn’t respond. On the positive side, the location is excellent. It’s not even a full block to the beach. The living space is very family friendly. There are working TV’s in every room. It has a working dishwasher (albeit, very loud). The washer/dryer is nicer than most homes. The porch over looks the street and you can see the ocean. The air conditioner works well. So, don’t take this off your list of possibilities but add in time and cost for a supply run.

Great stay

Great location, nicely sized for a family or small group. The host was easy to get ahold of. Would definitely stay again! Having the balcony was great too.
