Muskoka Cottage on the Moon River
A well appointed, south-west facing Muskoka cottage and two-floor bunkie on the Moon River in Bala. Enjoy swimming and paddling on the peaceful bay, sundowners on the new dock, or relaxing by the fire pit after dinner. Well equipped kitchen with wine fridge, leading out to a large deck with a barbecue which overlooks the water. The perfect spot for entertaining yourselves and guests either indoors or outdoors. After dinner, enjoy your evening around the campfire.
Nestled around the corner from the cottage are the gentle currents of the Moon Chutes, providing great rock faces for jumping into the water and fishing. Also, less than 15 minutes away by car or boat (not provided) is the quaint and bustling town of Bala, where you'll find great restaurants & pubs, the famous Don's bakery and grocery stores.
While the cottage provides much privacy, we do ask that you respect our neighbours and the peaceful atmosphere of the "Moon".
Notes:
Canoe, SUP, swimmat, 2 children's kayaks and lifejackets included in rental. There is also plenty of dock space to park your own boat or jet-ski. The bunkie is also equipped with a kitchen table, small coffee maker, toaster and bar fridge, as well as it's own living room with satellite TV.

We spend most of our summers at our cottage with our two boys. We love entertaining on the walkout deck from cottage, the sunny dock or at the fire pit nestled in the trees. Daily adventures include; canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and cliff jumping around the corner at the Moon Chutes.
