Welcome to the island—a serene paradise where guests will unwind and soak in breathtaking views! Just a few steps from the soft, white sand beach, this charming home invites visitors to dive into the sparkling turquoise waters and feel the gentle embrace of island life. This delightful retreat includes 3 BR / 2.5 baths with a shared ocean view pool. Close to Restaurants, Water Excursions, Casinos & Waterparks. Don’t miss your chance to unwind on the cozy balcony at this family beach house.

Families will enjoy this relaxing island get away. The 3 BR+ 2.5 bath home has comfortable beds and accessible bathrooms. Both bedrooms on the upper level have their own attached full bathrooms. Central air and ceiling fans in all the bedrooms make for a good night's sleep. Wake up each morning to the ocean view from the primary bedroom. Then have breakfast on the balcony overlooking the gorgeous water views! The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing family meals. The beach is across the street and there are 2 restaurants within easy walking distance. The home is located in a residential subdivision with 3 other homes.

Guests will have access to the shared, ocean view pool. The pool is shared with the other 3 homes in this quaint seaside neighborhood. Lounge chairs, beach towels and pool toys are provided and can be taken to the beach or the pool. There is even an air pump, so bring your raft and float in the beautiful ocean.

Our local co-hosts will be available to you while on the island. They will be available to help with anything you may need. They live on the island and can give great recommendations.

There is a set of stairs from the parking lot to the front door. This home is NOT suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The home is family friendly and has a beachy vibe! It is centrally located to grocery stores, restaurants & many beaches. We do recommend getting a car. If you are looking for that island vibe, this home is perfect for you.

Alicia met at us at the house with a warm welcome. The home was clean. It was nice to have beach chairs and beach towels available for us to use and even a small lunch box size cooler to put waters in.
The walk from the driveway to Travelers By The Sea to eat dinner. This was really convient and food was so good we ate dinner twice there and once for breakfast. There is a nice Mexican restruant beside it as well but didn't get to try it.
This is more of what the beach area looks like. It's beautiful but a little rocky here and there.
This is the beach area just to the left of the house. It's smaller but nice and sandy. The views are beautiful.
This picture was taken from the front of the house on the deck. This pine tree is beautiful to the left of the picture. I have never seen one like it.

Bring your grounded coffee and laundry detergent in your luggage (can be expensive on the island), coffee filters are included, filtered water, everything is included to go to the beach (chairs, lunch bag, ice pack). We really liked the house in general, A/C was working great, beautiful ocean view, kitchen is well equipped. I definitely recommend that place!

Sandy was a very responsive and kind host. The home is absolutely beautiful and well stocked. I was relaxing to sit out on the large balcony. It was not far to the airport and nice restaurants. We had a great experience!

Great Getaway

Would highly recommend this house- location was great; beach right across the street and a nice pool. House was very clean, Sandy was very responsive throughout the entire process. Having a local contact was amazing!!

Great getaway

Could not have asked for a better time away. House was everything it claimed to be. Sandy supplied very nice beach chairs, and beach towels if needed. House was in the perfect location. Short ride to anywhere you needed to go. This is the place you want to stay.!

We would go again!

My friend and I stayed at Caribbean Cottage for 1 week in March 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed the house and location. Having read the reviews before we came, we rented a car for the whole week which turned out to be a good decision in order to get around to the various stores, beaches and restaurants. Sandy, and our local contact, Alicia, were very responsive. Alicia greeted us when we arrived and assisted in supplying some provisions for the kitchen. The views are spectacular, the pool was a nice bonus and very clean. We dined next door our first night at Traveler's Rest which was very handy. The location on W. Bay Street was great for getting to Love Beach and Jaws Beach. We would go back to CC in a heartbeat!

Best view

We stay in this area because it’s away from cruise ships and mega tourist that follow the ships . This place is older but clean and has the best ocean views from the master and balcony . There’s a small beach area down the street which we found quiet and beautiful. If you’re looking for a chill vacation this is nice . The ck in and ck out was very easy and host response was very quick if we had any questions .

Beautiful vacation

We were a group of friends and we stayed for a week. The house is near one of the best beaches of the island(love beach), walkable distance. The house is well equipped to cook and had everything you need to go to the beach (towels/ floaters/ chairs and umbrella). Thank you to sandy for hosting us! Check in and communication was very easy. We recommend!

Great Home Base for Exploring the Island

We spent a week here recently and found it to be a great home base for exploring the island. Accommodations were clean and comfortable and the location was close enough to beaches and other areas of interest without the hustle and bustle of areas closer to downtown Nassau. Sandy and Sherry were a pleasure to deal with and the check-in/out process was easy. There is a smaller beach area across the street which is a great place to have morning coffee or watch the sunset. Love Beach is a short distance away (walkable, but we drove as we had too many bags and beach chairs to carry) and is a beautiful spot that was never busy. Would definitely recommend a stay at the Caribbean Cottage!

A Fun, Scenic & Relaxing Vacation

My family and I (2 adults and 2 teens) just returned from an enjoyable 10 day stay at the Caribbean Cottage. The bright and cheerful pictures are accurate including the spacious accommodations and the lovely ocean view. We also enjoyed the deck and swinging in the hammock. It was one of our most relaxing vacations yet! The house manager was very responsive to our request for recommendations for places to visit on the island. I would recommend renting a car, since there is only one restaurant right next to the property that is open each day (there is a second one open for some weekend meals), and there are many other restaurants that you might want to explore. There are multiple beaches nearby and the ocean water was warm, clear and inviting. We highly recommend this property and we plan to return.

Cute Cottage

We enjoyed our stayed at Caribbean Cottage. Sandy and Sherry were great hosts and very informative. The welcome packet was helpful and the Primary bedroom and views were gorgeous. Our taxi driver, Fred, was awesome for our 5 days there. We felt safe during our stay, though it was not easy to walk from the Cottage as there are no real sidewalks or shoulder on the road to walk on. You could easily walk to a small patch of sand (not Love Beach) and Traveller’s Restaurant but other than that you really needed a taxi/car. There was a bus but we didn’t find enough info to utilize that service. The pool area was small, we preferred to walk across the street to the sand. Overall Sherry was a great contact to have during our stay and we enjoyed ourselves!

Great property! We really enjoyed our stay.

The house was very nice and spacious. It was clean overall and had everything we needed. The covered deck was a great place to sit and relax. There is a nice small beach area a short walk from the house. While we liked the quiet residential area the house is in (and the proximity to Stuart Cove’s dive shop), some people may prefer to be closer to the tourist areas. But there are several very good restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive. You really need to rent a car if you’re staying in this house. The local host (Sherry) was a wonderful lady and very helpful. There are just a few suggestion I’d make: 1) Add room darkening shades in the main bedroom. The room was quite bright early in the morning. 2) The lighting in the main bathroom could be better. Overall a great stay and we would definitely come back!

Great views

Carribbean Cottage is delightful. We have stayed at 15 or more properties on New Providence, and this was one of the nicest. Very clean, with many thoughtful amenities including a water filtration system that worked great. The main bed (king sized) was especially comfortable. The showers had plenty of hot water and nice handheld shower heads, and the host provided fluffy clean towels. The kitchen worked great and we stayed in for some enjoyable meals--there is a also a nice grill on the front deck that we didn't use. The TVs provided had additional channels (and good coverage of US football that I appreciated); we brought our Firestick and that worked fine. The Internet was reliable and fast. The location is mostly quiet--there were some workmen nearby during the day. We had a small car so that we could easily visit our favorite spots. One observation--we often take the #10 bus from the West End into Nassau, and we noticed that were fewer buses running this year.

Home was located in a safe area. Mention steps away from the beach. The ocean was there but not habitable. Home was nice, not exclusive, people or neighbors coming and going. A strangers car was overheating pulled in the driveway, used the homes hose. No gate access like the majority of the homes nearby. House generally cleaned but not detailed. Corners dirty with dirt and hair. Wear shoes, bare feet were turning black, bed, linens and towels really clean so that was nice

Overall, this property was great for our family of four. We had plenty of space and all the amenities to feel right at home. The ocean view from the balcony and upstairs bedroom was spectacular. It was just as pictured and was definitely a highlight of the trip. We also enjoyed being able to walk right across the street to get to the ocean. The host was very communicative and responsive. There were just a few slight drawbacks: 1- The closest grocery store is about a 10 minute drive away. We initially thought we could walk but its too far. If you need to get to the store, be prepared to have a car, take a taxi or hop on the bus. 2-The property host warned us that the metal shutters on the front door and balcony window should be closed anytime we left the property due to the risk of theft. We appreciated the heads up. It was just a bit jarring to lock down everything before leaving and sleeping at night. We never felt unsafe at this location. But security seems to be a concern, especially around the holidays. To be clear, these were just minor inconveniences. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had a great time.

Cute House, Great Service, Small Caveat

The Good - The house was a great home base during our stay. We spent our days exploring the island and walking the nearby beach. - Sherry (local host) was super responsive and solution-oriented. She totally saved our bacon on the last day when our rental car battery died and she immediately arranged a friend to pick us up and take us to the airport. Amazing! - Sitting on the deck listening to the waves and drinking coffee was a wonderful way to start each day - Bed was comfortable and the AC worked great The Not As Good - The house feels a bit like a dated rental. Holes in the walls where fixtures used to be but arent anymore. The shower curtain and rod are rusty and falling apart. The bathroom lights dont work properly (as noted in other reviews). No tissues or hand soap in any bathroom. The Surprise - The local host (as well as the owner) told us after we arrived that there had been a spike in crime in the neighborhood. As a result you must keep the hurricane shutters closed over the sliders at night while you sleep and any time you leave the house. There are also 4 locks on the front door that you are instructed to keep locked at all times. - It is important to note that we had no issues with crime and felt perfectly safe. This is clearly not the fault of the owner and I appreciate their efforts to make sure their guests are safe. - The safety measures were a bit jarring and came as a surprise. I am sharing them here so future renters know what to expect.

Communication was excellent and the place was nice and clean. The host was very helpful with a few of our requests so service was amazing. The beach across the street and towards the restaurants is nice and handy. I thought that it was very good value for the price.
