Escape to this charming guest house nestled in the serene heart of the valley, offering awe-inspiring views of the majestic mountains and the picturesque valley. Conveniently located near downtown Durango and the Purgatory Ski Resort, this cozy retreat provides easy access to a myriad of activities. Step inside and be enchanted by the breathtaking mountain scenery that envelops you. The inviting living room features a comfortable sleeper couch for extra guests and a cozy sitting area by the fire, perfect for unwinding with a good book. The well-equipped kitchen with bar seating has everything you need to prepare delicious meals for your loved ones. The master bedroom is a luxurious sanctuary with a king-size bed, an in-room TV, and a private en suite bath, as well as access to the deck for a tranquil outdoor escape. Another bedroom offers a sumptuous queen bed, while the third bedroom is an adventurous delight for young guests with two charming twin bunk beds, all sharing a well-appointed full bath. The expansive outdoor deck provides a delightful space to relax and soak in the splendor of the mountains. Furthermore, a section of the garage has been transformed into a lively game room, complete with various games, darts, and a ping pong/air hockey table. Outside, parking is available for up to 3 vehicles. Please note that accessing the home requires climbing several stairs. (This is a guest home. The owners live on site in the home next door and there is an additional guest apartment on the property.)

*This home can comfortably accommodate 6 adults and 4 children. We may consider more adults guests with additional per night fees (still only up to 10 guests maximum). Please inquire with us for more information. Prices shown are for 6 adult guests only.

This home is dog friendly, up to two dogs maximum. The owners do live on site and appreciate guests respecting this rule and not bringing more than 2 pets. Approved Dogs are allowed with a non-refundable fee per pet based on size/type. Please let us know about your pet(s) when inquiring or making your reservation. The trees were in all their glory!! The view from the property was awesome. We each had our own space and it was well appointed. Comfortable beds. Kitchen had everything you needed. My favorite thing was watching the train go by! We went to the ski resort and had a great day riding the ski lift, alpine slide and the coaster. Such a great location. Would love to return

The house was clean and we enjoyed the beautiful views from the living room. The deck was also amazing to sit on and enjoy the view. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked. The floor had a couple of uneven areas that made us stumble a couple of times, but we quickly learned to anticipate them. The tub/shower in the master bedroom is quirky and there is a rather large ledge you have to step over to get in and out, which might be difficult and even dangerous for those with knee or hip issues. The check out process is a little picky because they want you to wash a load of towels and put them in the dryer before you check out. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this property!

The property management company was so so.. I got tired of getting yelled at for trash when it was t even us it was the other property. How’s Ww sdecent with good views but the management company that runs thei house ruined the experience for us..

We had a wonderful stay. The location was great, easy access to downtown Durango and other areas. The views from the rental were spectacular. It was clean and comfortable. We all thought the beds were comfy as well. Would stay again if we come back to the area.

Great stay

Perfect spot for 4 adults and 2 kids for a long weekend close to town but it also feels like you are in the valley. The deck is incredible and I wanted to spend the whole time out there. One of the best rentals I have ever stayed in. 10/10 would book again!

Excellent house for Durango visit

Our family of 2 parents and 3 adult children really enjoyed our stay in mid-August. The deck was better than the pictures show. It was a really nice view and a great way to start/finish the day. Everyone enjoyed the ping pong and air hockey games downstairs in the evenings. Great location with easy access to everything that we needed. We would love to stay here again.

Family time

We visited in early/mid June, and had a great time with extended family. The house was very comfortable for our family group. We spent a lot of time out on the deck enjoying the very scenic view. We all enjoyed our stay at this house, and would definitely stay there again.

Amazing Views

We stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful property. Yes the pictures of that deck view are accurate- absolutely beautiful!! The unit is clean, nicely appointed and well located for your Durango area adventure. We would highly recommend.

Had a great time in Durango!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The property was equipped with everything we needed, was well-kept, clean, and comfortable. We spent much of our time out on the huge deck, taking in the beautiful view of the mountains for as far as we could see in any direction. The house was in a very convenient location, just off of Rt. 550, far enough away from town center to feel the expansiveness of the mountains, but close enough to be able to run into town for groceries, shopping, and going out to eat. Highly recommended!!!

Away and yet so close

A short distance away from downtown Durango and yet so close to most activities, food and shopping. 1st, I love Colorado. Always have always will. Durango has really grown to be a close favorite city. 2nd, I use VRBO exclusively and have trusted their services. I've struggled writing a review this time that wouldn't be critical of this rental. Instead the following is a strong recommendation for the owner and property management. 1.) Follow your posted Mountain AC rules before guest arrives and do invest in one or two window AC units. 3.) clean filter in the portable AC with hose before guest arrives 4.) Be aware of temperatures before guests arrive so #'s 1,2 and 3 will be a a peak performance. 5.) Bringing in an non working, dirty appliance even temporarily to use as a substitute is inefficient. 6.) The customer giving chose-able solutions in order to have a new appliance before a week later is unacceptable. 7.) Property management team please keep customer informed all along the process. Other than once they did respond in a timely manner. Cud-dos to the member who shipped a forgotten item to my home. 8.) The Durango Post Office will not deliver mail/packages/letters or anything else to this rental, no matter who you inform ahead of time. Checking the status of the expected delivery will not help. Go to the PO and pick it up there. 9.) For any cooking utensil reported not working get creative or go buy it. Ooops at 1500 character limit.
