We’ll start with our host, Rick. He was phenomenal before and during our stay! He responded quickly to our questions and even took time to reach out to the resort to modify a couple of things when we arrived.The resort itself is aging and could use some updating, but growing with new villas, which are very nice. There are not a ton of on-site activities, but there is an excursions office that will help if you wish to have some adventures and there are nightly shows. We were content with the private pool and the beach.We were disappointed to have an older villa that needed some repairs and updates, as we are used to having more modern and clean accommodations, but it is important to note that the host does not choose which villa you are assigned- it is assigned on arrival.The staff are very kind and accommodating. It’s helpful to know a bit of Spanish, though most of them speak English pretty well.It was lovely to have breakfast cooked in the villa every morning instead of having to go out to one of the restaurants, but it would have been nice to have a bit of variety- breakfast menus are limited.Decline the “tour” of the property. We were told we’d be taken on a tour to see all that the property had to offer, which turned out to be a sales presentation that took up five hours of our first full day, then the sales rep came to our villa daily with new offers to get us to buy in. Overall we enjoyed our week away and would return if we could get a newer villa.
