It was a good stay

We liked staying at Judith’s place. Everything was clean, and the check in was very smooth through the App. We did not have any issues.

Property looked exactly as it was listed but no outdoor photos were given prior to arrival. Since there wasn't extremely clear directions of where to go, and no photos were given prior, we had trouble locating the property when we arrived around 9 p.m. but Judith was quick to return my call for directions. The rental was nice other than the extremely noisy neighbors upstairs that kept us up the first night and most of the day running around the making so much noise. I called Judith to no answer but when I messaged her on VRBO she was responsive and the second night we had no more upstairs neighbor noise. The property did however had a sugar ant issue, with dead ants found everywhere from the bed sheets to the bathroom. Overall the property would be nice for small families and is in the heart of the big ticket Miami activities. We also did enjoy our free show of NYE fireworks with all of the neighbors who shot off large fireworks from behind the VRBO property and in the street near our cars. We did not mind it as we understood its for NYE and enjoyed the show but it is something to consider if you are going for big holidays or events.

UNACCEPTABLE

We booked the reservation 2 weeks in advance and paid the full amount immediately. 2 hours before check in, we received an email stating that the reservation had been cancelled because the host was unable to accommodate us for the dates requested. The email also directed us to go to the website and cancel the reservation to receive a full refund. I called VRBO immediately and was told that it could have been a system error. I was placed on hold for 45 min while the rep figured out what was going on. He came back to the line stating that it was in fact cancelled by the host and I should go to the app to request a full refund. He also said that the refund would take 15days?! I went to the app to cancel and got a message saying that I couldn’t cancel because I surpassed the time and wasn’t eligible for a refund. Of course that wasn’t what I wanted to hear so I called the host. She told me to go to the site. Sensing the irritation in my response, she said that she would call VRBO, which she did. We received our refund immediately. We tried to make other arrangements but was unsuccessful at such short notice. We had to cancel our plans.If we had canceled at such short notice, we would’ve been penalized. Why isn’t the host penalized when they cancel at such short notice?

My granddaughter's birthday trip nightmare

I do not recommend this property to anyone. We did not stay at the property. My granddaughters arrived in Miami a day earlier than me. Their flight arrived at 9:05 pm on Thursday, December 7th, 2023. They arrived at the property at 10:00 pm. When my granddaughters finally got access to the property, they were very disappointed and decided to get a hotel. THAT WAS WHEN THE NIGHTMARE BEGAN. Because it was a last-minute decision the cost was extremely high. I lost over $750.00 because I could not cancel my reservation. The check in process was terrible, the host was not familiar with the app used to check in, and the house was not as advertised. The neighbor was also very rude and noisy. My granddaughters had to stand outside of the property for over an hour while the host figured out the code for the lockbox. Two young ladies in an unfamiliar area standing outside is unacceptable and dangerous. The procedures for check-in were supposed to be sent 3 days before check-in, but I had to call the host for them. She told me that all she needed was mobile numbers and for us to download an app called “August” to have access to the property. The property was dirty, smelly, and uncomfortable. The pictures on the website were misleading and did not reflect the reality of the place. This was my worst Vrbo experience. I should have known when I had to call the Vrbo rep to send a text for check-in inform and I also contacted the host via VM and did not hear back.

Family Vacation

We rented this property for a family vacation in Miami. The property is clean and equipped with everything that you need from spices to dishes and utensils. The property manager answered in a timely manner. I didn’t have to call her. The property is located closely to everything that you need. We were 20-30 minutes away from everywhere that we wanted to visit. The pool however is only open Monday-Friday between the hours of 1-4pm. The stay was very enjoyable.

Did the job

The property inside we nice. I loved that she had teas and coffee available for us. Very good kitchen accommodations even though we didn’t cook anything. The outside of the property could be maintained better, the neighborhood was pretty quiet. We were on the first floor but you can hear the tenants upstairs walking around and they were pretty loud at night. The beds were quite low to the ground and possibly hard for an older person to get in comfortably. Communication with Judith wasn’t that great. I sent her a message 1 week prior to my stay and she never responded. I had to call her the day of the booking to get the information. When she picked up the phone I said, “May I speak to Judith?” She asked who is this? Who wants Judith? I’m thinking I got the wrong number. When I said I rented a property with her, her tune changed. She then asked me what cabin I rented. I’m like I don’t know! Lol! I sent a message stating we were out of the apartment and again no answer. So don’t try to communicate on VRBO. But overall it worked, we needed to stay 2 days before our cruise. I would actually book it again if needed.

Very good vacation house.

The indoor of the apartment/condo is exactly as shown in the pictures. Modern furniture and a beautiful kitchen with brand new appliances. 2 bedrooms with 2 full baths which was very convenient. The public pool located just a couple of minutes walk from the building was very clean and not overly crowded. The staff was very friendly. I had issues with the august app to access the building, but after calling Judith, the building Manager came over to help. He was very professional. As Live TV was not available (only Netflix, You tube etc), he provided us with an amazon stix so my husband could watch the Super bowl.

C’était notre première expérience avec Vrbo et ce fut parfait. Nous avons eu la chance d’avoir une super proprio. Merci à Judith pour le cadeau de Noël! Rien de négatif à signaler. Appartement propre, a/c, wifi, laveuse/sécheuse, terrasse. Secteur tranquille et près de tout.

This rental has everything you need to feel right at home. I was impressed walking right in the door everything as pictured online and very clean. All essentials readily available. There were even was a camera system set up on the outside of property that you could use to monitor what is going on right outside the exterior of rental. Check in was a breeze and no key was needed for entry, everything was done right from your phone. No issues with parking and rental is located in a quite community close to pool and basketball court. I definitely would rent again when returning to Miami.
