Summary:
Located along the Ingersoll Avenue corridor, you are within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, parks & entertainment venues.

Nearby all downtown Des Moines' major attractions. Wells Fargo Arena, Iowa State Fairgrounds, Drake University, Hoyt Sherman Place & Civic Center are within 10 minute drive.

Plus enjoy complimentary parking in the attached 2-car garage. Sleep up to six adults comfortably. Enjoy peace and quiet when you want to kick back and relax.

The Space:
The townhouse is modern and has over 1,000 sq. ft of space. The garage is the lowest level; with the kitchen, dining area, living room, and half bath above. You will find the bedrooms and en suite bathrooms on the top floor. Please note, you must climb a flight of stairs between each level.

Guest Access:
You have access to each room in the townhouse, including the bedroom closets and laundry area.

The Neighborhood:
The Ingersoll Avenue corridor is on the edge of downtown Des Moines. You are within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, parks and entertainment venues.

Only 1 mile from I-235, you have easy access to everything in the Des Moines metro. Including West Des Moines, eastern Polk County, and even Iowa State University in Ames. For those visiting from out of state, the townhouse is a short 8 minute drive from Des Moines International Airport.

Nearby Gray's Lake Park is a favorite for runners and cyclists. There you will find a connection to the most popular trails in central Iowa. Including the Meredith, Bill Riley, Neal Smith, and Des Moines River trails.

You are close to all of downtown Des Moines' major attractions. Wells Fargo Arena, Iowa State Fairgrounds, Drake University, Civic Center are within 10 minutes’ drive. Stop by the historic East Village to find wonderful local restaurants, boutiques, bars, and the Iowa State Capitol. Visit the Sculpture Park and Des Moines Art Center to view modern and historic works. Enjoy a performance at Hoyt Sherman Place and a tour of the Iowa Governor's Mansion.

Getting Around:
Since you are only 1 mile from I-235, you have easy access to everything in the Des Moines metro.

A DART bus stop is located south of the property on Ingersoll Avenue. There are also bike lanes in the area.

Other Things to Note:
The attached 2-car garage has room for one full-size SUV and one crossover or sedan. You can find free street parking on the north side of the property.

Excellent location for everything

While we stayed in Des Moines we attended a sporting event eight at a ton of great spots within walking distance went to the downtown farmers market and also a concert at water Works. This location is a prime spot for doing nearly everything you wanna do in Des Moines.

We attended an event at Wells Fargo arena and the property was a short drive to the arena. The property was very clean and as advertised. We were very happy with our stay. We would definitely recommend the property and would consider again if in the area.

Quick Holiday Weekender

Had a Great time at John’s place. Everything was clean, beds were very comfy, and it is in such a great location. Less than 10 min from airport and 5 min from downtown. Couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay here.

Family Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving weekend here with our four college kids, as one of them goes to Grinnell College and did not want to spend time traveling back to Michigan for the short holiday weekend. The townhouse was very clean and perfect for our family. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect for mother/daughter trip

With two master bedrooms, this space was perfect for different generations who need their own space and comfort.Convenient location centrally located to all of the places we needed to go. It was fairly quiet and reasonably well stocked. The only things we missed were things like tupperwares, saran wrap, etc. Storing leftovers was the only thing we found tricky, but that's not a deal breaker.The owner is very responsive and took care of all of our needs. We couldn't find a can opener and within an hour he had dropped one off.Check-in was also very easy with the instructions and door code provided in advance. The key pad was a bit finicky but we eventually got the hang of it.Coming and going from the garage was fantastic, as was the ability to do laundry. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Location

We had an amazing time in Des Moines. This unit is in a great location - close to downtown and the airport. A garage was important to us as we were doing lots of antique shopping. Neighborhood was safe for us girls..... John was very responsive. Would rent this unit and from John again.

The townhouse was clean and comfortable. There was a generous supply of coffee and tea, lots of extra towels and pillows. There are many restaurant options within a few blocks. It was great to have a 2-car garage for secure parking. We would stay here again and can recommend it without hesitation.
