Overlooking a tranquil pond and stream, this very private house makes you feel as if you are living in a treehouse in the forest. While it's truly a peaceful escape from everyday life, it's also filled with modern technology, including 2 TVs with sound bars, YouTube TV and major streaming services, and high-speed WiFi throughout the house and extending to much of the property. Need to work while you’re here? A workspace offers a monitor, mouse and keyboard – just plug in your laptop and get started.

The master bedroom in the upstairs loft features a new king bed, has its own bathroom/shower and provides a lovely view of the woods. The first floor offers two additional private bedrooms, a full bath, and an open concept living area with rich knotty pine walls, gas fireplace, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped, including Keurig, drip coffee maker and dishwasher. You’ll want to enjoy the finished basement that features a second TV, pool table, dartboard, game table, and plenty of games! There's also a washer & dryer available to guests. Bed linens and towels provided.

Spending time outdoors is a highlight of staying at the Chalet. The deck stretches the entire front of the house, providing day views of the woods, sounds of the running stream, and evening star gazing. Our deck features new seating & tables, a gas grill, and a new hot tub that can be enjoyed year round. And the large grassy yard is perfect for pets or recreation and features a fire pit with Adirondack chairs.

Our favorite feature of the property is the pond, which is a beautiful sanctuary just a few dozen steps down the wooded path. Sit and enjoy a coffee or tea while listening to the waterfall that leads to the stream, watch the birds, look for the bullfrogs at the water's edge, or see if you can spot a deer passing through the woods. You'll be amazed at how much time you can spend doing nothing!

Venture beyond the Chalet to enjoy all that the area has to offer. The charming town of Milford is just 15 minutes away with restaurants, boutique shops, the Grey Towers mansion, and the newly restored Milford Theater. The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area neighbors the property, and features over 100 miles of hiking trails, including 6 great waterfall trails within 10 minute drive of the Chalet. The park also offers canoeing/kayaking, swimming, cycling, cross-country skiing, picnicking, and fishing with a valid state license. Five golf courses and Shawnee Mountain Ski area are within a 30-minute drive. George W. Child's part is 1.2 miles from our home and just reopened with spectacular waterfall views - it's a local treasure open again after a 6 year renovation!
