We had an extended stay at this property during construction on our home in Chandler. Kelly was an excellent hostess. She responded to any concerns we had in a very timely manner.We absolutely love this neighborhood. It’s very walkable, very family oriented, and there are a lot of dogs.Highly recommend this property.

Our stay was amazing! Loved the layout of the house the back yard. The house had everything we need. I loved the open concept of the house. The house was very clean and organized. Had everything you could possibly need in the home. We were able to relax and decompress. We will definitely come back. Kelly was awesome and very accommodating!

Gorgeous vacation rental in a quiet neighbourhood but close to everything you need. Loved the outdoor space and pool area. It is well equipped with everything you need for a great stay. Well designed interior. Would definitely recommend.

10 days in great location

Great location - easy access to the city, hiking etc. home is restored and lovely. Very clean and well taken care of. Any communication was replied to instantly. No problems at all and would stay here again. Thanks for a lovely stay

Great home base in a good location

This was a very clean property that had everything we needed. Stylishly decorated and the beds/rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed the patio on Sunday evening, sat around the firepit and played cornhole. One of the top 5 vacation rentals I have stayed in over the years (we do 3-4 a year) just for how well it was put together. Communication w Kelly was great, I would recommend to family and friends. It was a very enjoyable stay during our couple of days in Phoenix.

Loved our Stay

Our family had a great time staying at Modern GEM. The quiet neighborhood felt very safe and everything we needed was nearby. The location provided the perfect jumping off point for several day trips and activities. It was also nice to be able to come home and enjoy the pool and covered patio as a family. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

Our stay was fantastic! The house was everything we needed and more! We enjoyed so much time outside in the pool! The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable! The location was great and the neighborhood was quiet and safe! Kelly was amazing to work with. She even went above and beyond and provided a cooler for us! We would love to stay here again in the future!

Perfect spot for a Tempe stay!

Already talking about when we should come back. The house was clean and that’s my biggest issue with VRBOs. Bed was super comfy - haven’t had that great of sleep in a while. And house was well stocked with everything you could need and then some. 10/10 would recommend.

Home away from home

We enjoyed so many thoughtful aspects of our stay: just to name a few: the cleanliness of the home, the comfortable bed (we only used one bedroom), the necessary coffee and tea supplies, the welcome snacks, the high-end kitchen equipment, the updated, nicely-appointed spaces, the safe neighborhood, the proximity to our fav grocery stores and wonderful restaurants. We were so grateful for the owner’s upkeep of this home, making it a cozy home away from home for us:). Thank you Kelly! We will return:)

Perfect Stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very conveniently located to South Tempe and would also be great for a family visit to ASU. The neighborhood is conveniently located by many restaurants and stores like Trader Joe’s.We discovered a local coffee place we loved, Steve’s Espresso! We were quite comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. The pool also was well maintained and inviting, although we didn’t get a chance to use it. Maybe next time. We hope to be back! Kelly the owner was also very reachable and welcoming during our stay. Thanks for a great visit.

ASU softball

We came to watch our granddaughter play softball for ASU. The house was located within 15 minutes of the campus. It was very clean and well stocked (towels, bedding, dishes, etc.) We enjoyed relaxing in the lovely backyard. . We would definitely stay there again.

Highly recommend!!

This VRBO was one of the nicest, cleanest houses I’ve rented! We loved it and it was perfect for my family of 4 and 2 other adults. Too cold to use the pool but it looked awesome. Fresh flowers on the island, snack basket and new bag of coffee waiting. Beds were very comfortable which is always a plus. We would definitely stay here again!

Two week stay.

Good location, easy access to freeways. House clean upon arrival, easy communication with the owner. If visiting the Tempe area this is great place to stay, we were visiting our grandson who attends ASU. It was too cold to use the pool but the backyard area is very nice.

Great Tempe Find!

Kelly's Modern Gem worked well for our needs during Fiesta Bowl weekend! Kelly was very communicative, even checking in to make sure all was going well during our stay. We were in town because my older son was playing in the Bowl game as well as moving my younger son back to campus at GCU. We were a bit away from campus and the stadium, but we were able to navigate the areas well for most activities we planned to visit. Definitely something to consider if you plan to spend any length of time at either of those places though. The home was lovely, with two generous living areas, spacious bedrooms, along with a beautifully appointed kitchen. The cookware was ideal, making meal prep pretty seamless. Having everything on one level worked well for my seasoned parents. Although we didn't spend any time in the yard, it looked very inviting, and I liked the pool being fenced off from the rest of the yard. This is a place I would certainly consider staying again when I'm in town. Thanks so much for your hospitality Kelly! It was great connecting with a fellow Midwest native.

Great House!

We came to visit family and celebrate my husbands milestone bday! Great house g quiet neighborhood ! We barbecued and sat outside on the patio! It was great time! The host was very responsive and gave us a welcome package/ HBD balloon and a plant! Thank you!

Located in the heart of Tempe, it is close to everything. The home is near the 101 loop which can lead you North to Scottsdale or all the way onto North Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria & Surprise. Going South, you can head over to Chandler & connect to the loop 202 heading into Gilbert, Queen Creek, etc. Only a little over a mile from Highway 60, which can lead into Mesa or Phoenix. Five miles from ASU Main Campus and Mill Avenue entertainment district. 12 minutes to Sky Harbor Airport.
