Though we didn't use the fire place, there was plenty of wood and fire starters. The hot tub was clean and warm. The place was pretty clean and all around we enjoyed the stay.

This place was great. The wife and I now live in Havasu and it’s always HOT! A peaceful few days in the mountains in this cozy cabin was just what the doctor ordered. The fireplace was great! It had a full kitchen complete with any pots and pans you may need. The washer and dryer on site was a nice touch, The WiFi was easy to use. We loved the front porch and the backyard is amazing! It had a gas grill that we didn’t mange to use, a propane fire pit, nice lights, and the hot tub! The owner was also very easy to reach and communicate with! I would definitely stay here again!

Location was perfect (1/2 mile from my best friend who lives in BB and who's birthday we were celebrating! We took advantage of all of the amenities; fire pit, hot tub, corn hole. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. We just had 3 of us staying there, but could very comfortably accommodate several more. The bed I slept in was very comfy. We cooked dinner both nights. The kitchen is roomy and had the basic cookware, but bring your own foil/tupperware for leftovers. Luckily my friend went to her house and came back with some items that we didn't think to bring (also spices other than salt/pepper). The owner, Dayma, was very communicative and accommodating. We hope we are able to book again for our next trip up the mtn!

The house was impeccably clean, well-maintained, and perfectly situated in a peaceful, cozy location. The jacuzzi worked flawlessly, offering the perfect spot to unwind and relax. Every detail in the house was thoughtfully arranged, making the stay feel warm, welcoming, and truly special.

The Gentle Squirrel was the perfect place for our weekend stay for a friends’s wedding nearby. It had everything we needed. The backyard is a nice place to relax and have your morning coffee.

Xmas fun!

We had everything we needed to have a great family getaway. Jacuzzi for downtime , the village for dinner and a beautiful neighborhood to relax. Definitely will be coming back.

Spacious Cabin

I had a wonderful, relaxing stay. This cabin is very roomy and very clean with so many amenities. From check in to check out everything was handled very professionally by the host that I felt so comfortable staying here by myself. It felt as if I was staying at a friends house. I recommend couples or families to stay here also as there is plenty of room with lounging areas for everyone. I was impressed by all the kitchen supplies that made it so easy to cook all my meals here. I will certainly be back.

Snowboarding trip

Great cabin! Kids had a blast. Super cute space! Hot tub was awesome, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was big and easy to find everything.

Little piece of peace

My family had everything we needed for our cozy stay at gentle squirrel. The jacuzzi was a perfect way to end every night. The bon fire to make s’mores was quaint and lovely. The communication with the property manager was excellent. We spent our entire Christmas here. He loved it! Perfect for a family of four.

My family and I really enjoyed our weekend at this very lovely home. The property was clean, spacious and had all the modern amenities to make our stay very comfortable. The jacuzzi also looked warm and inviting, but sadly we forgot our swimsuit and couldn’t use it. Oh well hopefully on our next visit! The place is centrally located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, near grocery stores, shops and restaurants. I like to add that our host Dayma was wonderful. She was very kind and sweet, communicated well, but was not intrusive at all. I highly recommend this place, and hope to be back again soon! Thank you

Amazing place to stay with incredible owners!

We chose this house based on a quick search and hoped for the best. We were so unbelievably lucky to have stumbled upon this house! The location is amazing and within a short driving distance of big bear and its surroundings. Our kids loved the backyard and fire pit and even enjoyed the hot tub during the cold winter nights! The host was so helpful and checked in one time on our first night and again the night before and wasn’t over bearing or made us feel uncomfortable by constantly checking in but in the same breathe when we did need assistance they got back to us with an answer immediately. I wish there was more then just 5 stars because this owner deserves it the house is beautifully maintained and so homey and we will make this a tradition every year!
