Its banks lined with chestnut trees and plane trees, its small squares, its locks and its footbridges, its underground vaults, its basins give off a poetry and a very special atmosphere that Parisians rediscover with pleasure for a walk, or by boat (many less touristy than the traditional cruise on the Seine), a picnic by the water, a game of petanque or to have a drink with friends in one of the many surrounding bars.
