Updated washroom & kitchen( granite counter&dishwasher, microwave, fridge and stove)
Open LR, DR &work area all facing the lake
Fully stocked kitchen( pots, pans, dishes and utensils).
Towels provided
Furnished deck overlooking lake

2 kayaks with paddles available for use
All 3 bedrooms have queen sized beds; 2 of these bedrooms are inside cottage, the 3rd bedroom is a lakeside guest cottage and 4th bed is pullout couch.

Fire pit outside ( can only be used if there is no fire ban)
Maximum of 6 people
Guests must be respectful to neighbours( i.e. no excessive noise, no parties)
5 minute drive to Grand Marais grocery store & Grand Beach

Amazing!

Ray was available to answer our questions right away, a great host all around. The place has a great vibe and is close to great beaches!

In 2023 and 2024, we stayed in cabins at Lakeshore Heights because we loved the location. However, we had to drive back and forth about 15 minutes to reach Grand and Patricial Beaches. Once we arrived, it was a bit of a hassle to carry our chairs and other items through the dunes to get to the beach.For 2025, we wanted to rent a cabin right on the water, and we found one that was perfect. The bottom is sandy, just like the beaches. An adult can wade out about the length of a football field, and the water only comes up to their shoulders.To reach the beach, you need to go down some stairs, but this is a small challenge for the reward of having your own private beach. The trees behind the cabin create a lovely canopy that provides shade. This makes it nice to sit and read while looking out at the water and listening to the gentle sound of the waves on the beach from the gentle breeze.The cabin itself has everything you need. TV, WIFI and lots of DVD movies and CD's are available. The beds are comfortable, and the waterfront feature offers great value for the price. We enjoyed our time here.

We really enjoyed our week-long stay at the cabin—it was a lovely spot to unwind by the lake. A few things to note for future guests:Outdoors:The stairs to the beach are uneven and not fully railed, which could be difficult for those with mobility issues.There’s a tap outside but no hose, making it tricky to rinse off sand.The BBQ requires manual lighting with a lighter, and we couldn’t get it started.Cabin:Cabin temperature was perfect and the bedsheets were soft and comfortable, though pillows were lumpy, consider bringing your own.The kitchen lacked a few basics like oven mitts, a first aid kit, and good pots/pans.Only one water jug was provided, which may not be enough for larger groups.Shower toiletries were limited to a men’s shampoo.There’s a third room separate from the main cabin. We didn’t use it due to a strong musky smell and signs of previous water damage.A major plus was Ray, the host, very communicative and helpful, which made settling in easy. With a few tweaks, this cabin could be even better, but overall, we had a great stay!
