Lakefront rustic log cabin. Any season vacation, get away, or retreat.

Come stay for a weekend or a week at this Vacation, Get Away, Retreat: Rustic log Cabin on approximately 1 acre with ~300’ of waterfront shoreline. The rustic log cabin has a wrap around porch, with a portion of it screened-in, and a second story, enclosed deck. From the deck, walk down the stairs to the water and wade or swim, walk out on the pier to sunbath, fish, or just chill! FYI one will need to obtain a fishing license to fish!
Inside the cabin are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. 2 bedrooms have a queen size bed in each, the other has a twin bed with trundle.
There is flat screen TV, DVD player and a selection of movies available to watch. Kitchen is fully equipped with range/stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, cooking and eating utensils and dishes, and an outdoor charcoal grill is provided. Utility room has full size washer and dryer. All linens, towels, paper goods, and cleaning supplies furnished, as well as soap and shampoo.
The Cabin is located on Lake Bob Sandlin, between Pittsburg and Winnsboro, 2 hours east of Dallas in the quiet neighborhood of Camp Branch Estates. We DO NOT host large events and we ask all to mindful of neighbors, NO Parties, loud noises or loud music allowed.
The closest boat ramp is 5 minutes by water and 15 minutes by land. Things to do in the surrounding area include: Wineries, restaurants, golfing, museums, Spas, shopping and more.

Perfect Lakeside Getaway!We had a truly wonderful stay! The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. The views of the lake were stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect escape. Sitting on the porch watching the sunrise drinking coffee was absolutely amazing. The owners were thoughtful, responsive, and made us feel completely welcome. We can’t wait to come back!

Great July 4th weekend stay

Great communication with the host. The cabin was clean , very comfortable and organized. Been coming to Lake Bob Sandlin since the 80s , I’ve owned two log homes in Camp Branch in the past. I highly recommend.

Amazing Property

We walked into the cabin and immediately felt at home! All the added touches, well-stocked amenities, welcome gift, decor, and scenery made this the best property we have stayed at on Lake Bob Sandlin. The cabin is very clean, and the view is more than amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch just listening to nature and the tranquil sounds of the lake. The neighborhood is quiet and only 15 minutes from town. We will definitely be back to stay!

Cute lake cabin!

I had family in from out of state for a celebration of life and rented this cabin. The cabin was updated and extremely clean. My family enjoyed their stay and also some time on the porch and fishing. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful Place

We really enjoyed this house. Quiet location and has beautiful views. We spent time on the dock and porch. I recommend checking out Los Pinos Ranch Winery when you visit. Owners were quick to respond to questions. We highly recommend this house.

Lovely weekend

The cabin is beautiful and is in a beautiful location. Every possible amenity was provided. The lake is gorgeous and we were surprised at how quiet it was even though there were boaters and skiers having a great time on the water. We all thought the cabin would be a great place to visit at any season of the year.

This was such a comfortable home! We loved everything about it. The host was awesome with great communication and kindness. The house was well stocked with all the essentials and then some. And the view of the lake and all the trees was stunning! We will definitely be back!

Family trip

We had a little bit of a rough start with a bad storm that hit the night before and power outages everywhere. The owners worked hard to get the trees cleared off so that we would be able to get to the cabin. This place is beautiful and peaceful and just perfect. I can’t wait to go back!

Cute Cabin by the Lake

We had a great time at the cabin. You can tell the owners take pride in their property. The place had all the essentials and lots of extras like a welcoming basket full of goodies, Christmas decorations, extra seats for all our family members. The property looks better in person than in the pictures, it’s extra clean and very comfortable. The beds were very confortable as well. I recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet escape.

Cabin has plenty of room to move around. Most time spent on the back porch - this is a wraparound porch with room for everyone. Mattresses could be firmer.

All the perfect touches and amenities. They have thought of everything for your comfort. Being so close to the lake and it is so beautiful. My husband loved casting off the dock as he could stop and go down for a while anytime so convenient. Groceries and quaint downtowns are nearby if you really wanted to leave. It’s a fun time for family, girls weekend or couples getaway.

Fantastic get away

Everything about the location and the cabin was amazing. The cabin has a walk around porch for those that are unable to walk down to the pier. This was a bonus! The seating options around the cabin were also a bonus. Inside the cabin is absolutely stunning. Plenty of room for everyone inside and out. I’m an avid hiker so this location was superb. So many animals to see if you are up and out walking early in the morning. The host to this property put in so many extras. It really made renting at this location sweet. The host also answers very quickly. 5 star plus rating.

Our state was fantastic. The cabin was very clean and the amenities were very good. Everything we needed was there. The view of the lake was beautiful. We enjoyed it. We sat out by the campfire at night and enjoyed the campfire in the lake the view from the patio and the deck is great Very very good patio and decor. We loved everything about our stay. We are planning on coming back.

The property that is now on the shore of Lake Bob Sandlin, named Camp Branch Estates was originally owned by my father-in-law's family. It had been in the family for 5 generations.
When Lake Bob Sandlin was created, my father-in-law developed Camp Branch Estates and turned a wilderness into a beautiful, quiet community.
This log cabin is one of the first that he built. Several others are in the neighborhood. This all took place in the early to mid 1980's. Nearly all of the lots in the development have homes on them now.
My father in law has since passed away. We have been remolding this cabin over the last year, giving it a fresh look, while keeping it the rustic log cabin that he built. One thing I think he would really enjoy is the master bath. The awesome carpenters we hired did a fantastic job of taking wood and tin from an old barn and creating a true rustic bathroom. One has to see it to appreciate it. We also removed the carpet and installed a wood flooring throughout the house.
These are just a few of things we have done as we would like others to come and enjoy a beautiful, relaxing getaway.
