There are only 3 oceanfront buildings at the Papakea. The "F” building, which this condo is located in, is the only one that is away from the parking lots. So, you won’t hear any car noise, just the sound of the waves.

Papakea Resort is a unique property unlike any other property. The resort is famous for being the least dense resort on the west side of maui - with 11 low-rise buildings on 13 acres. It has a wide open, uncrowded feel, koi ponds, lush tropical landscaping, pools & spas, 2-18 hole putting greens and grassy sunning areas. Plenty of space to go for a walk on the grounds. You will truly feel relaxed here.

We had an amazing stay at Papakea! It’s in a great location and the view can’t be beat! The dishwasher went out on our 3rd day and the owner was a great communicator and had it replaced in a few days.

Excellent vacation

Love the place … accessible to pretty much what we needed like restaurants, beaches, grocery store etc. Enjoyed the daily morning walks. The location was perfect … love being in the lanai, saw turtles and wales. Mesmerized by the sunset view as well. Overall, it was a 10/10. Will for sure come back to this property !!!

Beautiful view

Great frontline location in a low rise resort. Bed comfortable and shower was very good. The property is a little dated and although well equipped kitchen wise it would have been nice to have at least a couple of matching red wine glasses. All in all a very nice stay.

Beautiful unit with breathtaking views

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay in Papakea F205. Although we did not cook, the unit was thoroughly stocked with essentials needed to do so. It also had the necessities for a beach day as well, which we really appreciated. Although there is no beach at the property, the ocean views from the unit and the sunset were amazing every night. We rented a car and ventured to many beaches and restaurants every day. I would recommend doing so. Would definitely rent again.

All around AMAZING

Condo is nicely updated and decorated and has amazing views ! I had everything I needed to cook for my family even spices. Property was well kept and friendly staff. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Our second time back here and will continue staying at the Papakea.

I come to Hawaii on business quarterly and when on Maui I stay only at Papakea. Great facility and bang for your buck.

Beautiful place

This place was great to stay in. Condo was clean and well appointed. The grounds were nicely kept. It was wonderful seeing and hearing the surf all day and night. Now it's too quiet here at home!

Beautiful sunsets

We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and views of the water and other islands at this property.it was fun watching sailboats and fishing boats go by. The grill was convenient and clean. The bed was comfortable. We especially liked working with Julie. She was helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

As Advertised!

We arrived at Papakea and the check in process was very easy. Upon arriving to the condo, within 15 minutes we realized that the toilet was clogged and not flushing properly. I reached out to Julie, and within another 15 minutes, a plunger showed up at our front door. Communication with Julie was easy ( and obviously prompt!) We loved staying at this condo. The kitchen was fully equipped, allowing us to make breakfast (x3), lunch (x3) and dinner (x2). By far, our favorite part of this condo was the porch and the view! We thoroughly enjoyed opening the sliding doors to the porch and hearing the waves crashing outside throughout the day. We ate all of our meals out on the porch. Each evening, we would have dinner on the porch, perfectly aligning with the sunset. We spent a full 9 days on various parts of the island. We spent 4 nights at Papakea. Both my husband and I agree that the time we spent on the porch watching the sunset was one of our most favorite parts of the whole trip. It is a very quick walk to beach access & the condo comes equipped with chairs, towels, and a cooler! We loved everything about Papakea!

Awesome ocean view!

Great communication about check-in, directions from airport, suggestions for food & activities, Covid restrictions & steps/process Super location with great oceanfront view... took sunset pics from balcony every night & whale watched, too Nice decor / furnishings... just right touches like magnetic door closers (it gets windy!) and door peg on front door for move in/move out Home away from home feel Great kitchen... lots of dishes, pots & pans, glassware, grilling stuff, etc... Cupboards loaded with spices Fans (ceiling & big moveable one) allowed us to sleep with only balcony screen to hear the ocean Beach towels, beach chairs & cooler! Washer/dryer very useful for extended stays Papakea resort grounds nice with pool, hot tub, bbq grills, good Covid measures Close to good restaurants & beaches... we still drove to these We will return!

Perfect location

The view is amazing! Sunsets and breakfast on the lanai were amazing. The location is great... I love how close to everything the property is. The condo is well managed... super clean and has everything you need. I would definitely stay here again.

Paradise Found

As an active VRBO renter I occasionally find myself in a quandary.......this is one of them. Do I keep this amazing property to myself so it’s available when I travel or do I let everyone else know how spectacular this property is? Julie & Greg were so amazing that I’m spreading the word. Everything was beyond what was advertised from the property & waterfront view to the well stocked kitchen & beach supplies. You truly can’t find a better property than this near Lahaina. Prime Papakea unit

We love this unit. We have stayed at Papakea in several different units, but once we found F205 we feel no need to stay anywhere else. It is located in one of the coveted oceanfront buildings (there are only 3), and has recently been renovated with new floors and very stylish and comfy new furniture. Julie is a delight to work with, always responsive to any questions. If you’re lucky enough to stay in this beautiful unit, indeed you are lucky enough!

Celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary was just perfect, and this unit had a lot to do with that perfection! The view is obvious, but the serenity that comes with this view is so much more... waking up each morning, grabbing your coffee or tea and just chillin' out on the lanai, seeing so many sizes and shapes of rainbows (I had no idea there were so many!) The unit was clean, stocked and perfect for making a little breakfast...packing a lunch for the beach & making cocktails!! Whoo! (We ate out every night and always brought home leftovers, a veggi pizza became a veggi omelet the next morn!) We will be back... for sure. Thanks Greg & Julie :-) Bud & Sandy Washington State

Nicest Condo at Papakea

I've stayed at Papakea 10+ times over the last 15+ years. This was by far the nicest condo I've stayed at. The owners take pride in their property. I look forward to getting this unit on my next trip to Maui.

Fabulous oceanfront condo you won't want to leave!

This fabulous condo is very beautiful and is totally equipped with every amenity possible. The oceanfront location with the lanai is perfect for viewing both the sunrise and sunset! Papakea Resort is great with the well-manicured grounds, multiple pools, hot tubs and BBQ's. Julie, the owner is fabulous to rent from and she provides you with prompt service and extra helpful information. We will definitely stay at her property again as it is totally amazing!!

Unbeatable view—felt like we were at a hotel!

We chose this condo because it was the best deal: an unobstructed ocean view, full kitchen and living room, and all the amenities you'd expect at a hotel. It was also nice that it was a little outside the more touristy areas with more hotels, but still an easy drive. We were really happy with our stay and hope to visit again.

Amazing location' sunset views every night.

We loved our stay here. The ocean front view is perfect. We will be back! We have so many pictures of sunsets and beautiful sunrise colors! The location is also great.

We live in Northern California but always look forward to our trips to Maui. We went to Maui for our honeymoon and then returned about 10 years later with our kids. We loved Maui and we would sometimes go twice a year.

The Papakea is special because of the expansive property that the condos are located on. There are lush gardens and koi ponds that are meticulously maintained. There is also a grassy area between the ocean and buildings that is nice for grabbing a lounge chair and reading a book or watching the sunset. The Papakea resort is a unique oceanfront property that is unmatched!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

When we visited Maui we always stayed in Oceanfront units. We wanted the same for our guests. We have seen Whales from the lanai and its exciting every time we see a whale come out of the water. Staying at the Papakea all day is a treat in itself because of the serene tranquility.
