Gateway trip from the city

Booked this cabin for our family. Love that everything was just 20 mins away. Enjoy the cabin and that it was stock with a full kitchen supplies. Got lucky that it rain so it was cool to see the thunder so close.

Buyer Beware. This property was not ready to be occupied. *I have never left a bad review* but this was over the top as we had to leave. Porches were filthy covered in leaves. Hot tub cover covered in mildew. Live Spiders inside porch and house. Master bed was rock hard & concave and we rolled to the middle. None of the fireplaces worked. Children’s bedroom looked fun with bunks and games. The list goes on…we left. communication was poor but eventually (2 weeks) were refunded 100%. VRBO backed us up but with many emails. Inasmuch as this was where we planned to spend Thanksgiving it really presented problems. I’m sure there were reasons for this (out of state ownership) but the pictures and the reality were FAR different. Easily the worst property we’ve ever stayed at. With a little “unreasonable hospitality” see that book, this could be a desire able rental but it was left without oversight, apparently, which almost wrecked our vacation. The price was too high, place too small (1100sq ft), host instructions too curt & unreasonable. should have paid heed to the negative reviews. *All easily correctable* Needs pressure washing, fumigation, new beds, thorough cleansing and some TLC and back in business.

Family Break in Blue Ridge

Really good location for family time in the outdoors whether it is hiking with the dogs, swimming in Lake Blue Ridge or wading the Taccoa River. We enjoyed time in the cabin which had everything we needed. It is in the wilds yet easy to get to Blue Ridge for breweries, restaurants and shopping. Great break.

Lovely Escape to The Mountains!

Loved this property and the privacy it offers. The rooms are spacious and the screened in back porch and hot tub were to die for. We're definitely going back and when we do will be staying here again.

We loved staying at this property! It is a climb up some challenging roads but very peaceful & quiet! Loved the convenience to Ellijay & Blue Ridge!!!!

Beautiful and peaceful location

The house is in a quiet and secluded location. It was very clean and included all of the amenities we needed. The only issue was trying to get into the house the first time. The digital lock didn’t work but the owner was quick to respond and assisted us in getting inside.

Very relaxing!

This cabin was just what we needed to decompress from our very busy city lives. While not a large space, it was adequate for the three of us and provided a great respite from the hustle and bustle of our day to day. I would definitely consider staying again!

Cabin stay!

This cabin is beautiful! The hot tub is absolutely the best part. It was so clean and well kept. Susan was great and helped us with anything we needed. I would recommend arriving in the daylight like she says. Would definitely stay here again.

Simple and complete

We made a last minute plan to travel to the mountains for a long weekend. This cottage jumped out to us. Very clean, had everything we needed, and our family was pleased. Made our trip even better and more memorable. Great location between the cities of Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Hiking trails are close

Beautiful Blue Ridge

Lovely Blue Ridge mountain cabin that was better than expected. Close to everything that we wanted to explore during our stay. Clean and quiet with an owner who provides an easy check in and check out process, who is responsive to questions and takes great pride in her property. Thanks Susan for sharing this nugget with us for the week. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was just what we needed ❤️

Like being in a treehouse!

Wonderful experience. We evacuated from Florida last minute due to a hurricane. Susan was wonderful to work with. The cabin was very clean, nicely decorated and well-appointed. The master bedroom has a sunroom feel, and it was like sleeping in a treehouse. We will definitely be back!

Lovely Mountain Cabin

My family and I had a great time in this cozy log cabin. It was very well appointed and we found the firm beds comfortable. Lovely sheets and bedding. My son was thrilled to have the old school game console and we all enjoyed hot tub time on the deck each night! This cabin is great for a family and was also a good location to downtown Blue Ridge. TVs in each room! Although there are some unpaved roads to get up to the cabin, the treetop feel is worth it and makes for a very peaceful stay!

Book It!

Don’t hesitate to book this perfect little cabin for your next mountain getaway! It was the perfect place to unwind and relax with our family of four. It was very clean and stocked with plenty of linen. The kitchen had all I needed to cook for us. The games on the walls and arcade were a big hit with our kiddos! And we enjoyed the screened in porch and hot tub every day! Susan communicated quickly and efficiently! We loved our time here and made wonderful memories!!

Tucked away and cozy

Charming cabin with comfortable accommodations. Loved the screened in porch, where we spent our mornings and evenings. Close enough to attractions but still feel away from it all. My husband and I love to cook but didn’t realize from the booking site, there is no dishwasher. We are used to doing dishes by hand with our pots and pans but it was a bit much to do everything we used by hand. Bring disposable dinner ware if you plan on cooking to save time during clean up. Over all we were very happy with our stay!

Awesome except for no communication

Clean, really nice cabin, nice location, only problem was zero response to the minor issues we had and multiple attempts to communicate with host. Like wifi password not working, unable to lock front door. Not a deal breaker since we weren't working and only there 3 nights. We dealt with it, but would not take a chance again without confirming a way to communicate with host before going. Would love to

Locked out, bad communication

This is a cute cabin and would have been a nice stay, except that we were locked out for over 3 hours on a cold evening with a small child, and then did not have a working oven for the weekend. Slow communication and unwilling to help with a partial refund for our trouble there. I would not stay in any of this host's properties again.

Weekend Get-a-way

My husband and I were on our anniversary get-a-way. The cabin was beautifully decorated and clean upon arrival. There were 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The cabin has enough room to move around but is also intimate at the same time. Couch and king-size bed very comfortable. Kitchen well-stocked. Quiet for the most part (could hear dogs barking in the distance) Susan responded to texts and emails in a timely manner and receptive to some minor repairs to screen doors that was reported. The directions say to arrive during the day and I would definitely agree with that. The road is curvy and has several gentle hills during the drive. I would recommend this cabin for couples or family with small children. Thanks, Susan.

Not maintained

Information sent for arrival has not been updated to reflect changes. Upon arrival we could not get in due to door lock not working. Reached out to owner who admitted to having trouble with lock and to use the other lock box and retrieve the keys. We stayed here the week of Thanksgiving which was one of the first cold weeks. Temperatures were between 40-20's. Neither fireplace worked--no propane coming from the lines. Hubby tried several times to light. The outdoor gas fire pit didn't have a propane tank. We removed the propane tank from the gas grill to use the firepit. Description of unit says charcoal grill but don't bother buying it because it is gas. Owner very hard to communicate with. I sent her my phone number to call me but she never did. Only communication was through the VRBO app. Trash can was full when we arrived on Tuesday and wasn't due to be picked up again until Monday. Cabin is in a good location BUT apparently the owner doesn't have a good management company to maintain accurate descriptions in rental agreement. Kitchen needs to be evaluated for proper cooking and baking items.

Disgusting and Disappointing Birthday Celebration

Upon arriving at the property we realized we were definitely the first people to stay in the cabin in months. There were spider webs on everything! When we went to unpack our car we had to fight our way through the many webs outside from the parking space to inside the cabin. My husband is extremely sensitive about spiders and this was his worst nightmare. Several lights didn’t work inside the cabin, smoke alarms beeping, the fridge was dirty inside and outside. The bedding in the master bedroom was dirty as well as there were spider webs with living and dead spiders throughout the interior of the cabin. WiFi didn’t work…I work remotely and lost a day of work due not having access to WiFi. Owner stated others stayed there the week before but it was clear that they just opened the gate, blinds and turned on the air conditioning (that didn’t work properly either). The property was over run with weeds and bushes no clear path like in the photos. Cushions in the chairs on the screened in porch were dirty as well as the ones by the firepit . Grill and chairs all covered in webs which meant if we wanted to sit outside we had to clean the chairs ourselves. After waiting over an hour for the owner to let us know if she was going to send someone to clean the place we decided to leave as it was clear she had no plans on sending anyone. It was one disgusting disappointment after another that ruined my son’s 10th birthday! The

I waited a month past my stay before making this review in the hopes that the host would make this right, but she did not.This listing is very deceiving. First of all, there is ZERO view. There are trees 12 inches from the porch, you see nothing at all besides trees. Before we could even attempt to get inside the cabin, we had to knock down huge spider webs that were all over the porch. The outside porch and covered porches were completely filthy with spiders, spider webs, debris from the trees, and the patio furniture and cushions were filthy as well. There was no propane in the fire pit and none in the grill so we could not cook the food we bought for dinner on the first night. The bed frame in the master bedroom was broken which caused my husband and I to both roll into the middle of the bed. I texted the host with my concerns and she said she would send the cleaning people out the next morning. (Only time she ever responded to me) The next day we went out for a bit and when we came back there were two girls outside cleaning and washing the porch with a hose. They said they were emptying the hot tub and treating it. They left and never came in the house to fix the bed or address any of the other items I had texted the host about. The hot tub still smelled musty, so we never even got in it. The pics she posted look beautiful, but it’s not reality as to its current condition. Don’t stay here you will be very disappointed

This is a phenomenal cabin in a great location- we love that we were able to be a part of creating a cabin with great amenities and a wonderful location close to all the action and the beauty of the Blue Ridge area.
