The Cabin was absolutely perfect. Very Clean and location to the north entrance of the park was perfect. We will be staying here again for sure.

Perfect place to crash after hiking in Itasca State Park since it is literally right outside the North entrance. The store and ice cream shop was adorable, the workers were very friendly, and the landscape looks well taken care of. RECOMMENDATIONS: an extra blanket would be nice, and highly suggest adding 1-2 sets of dinnerware; i.e. plates to use the microwave, utensils to eat heated food, etc. We ended up borrowing forks from the ice cream shop and that worked, but it would be nice if they were available by the microwave and coffee maker.

Cute clean little cabin. It was the perfect location next to itasca state park down the road and 30 minutes from Bemidji. I'd definitely come bacn here when visiting in the area.

This lovely little motel was exactly what we needed, a home base while we explored & hiked, visited w friendly locals & ate great walleye. Christine was quick & easy to communicate with, and our room was squeaky clean!

Great Little Motel!

This motel was conveniently located just across the highway from the north entrance of Itasca State Park. The room was spacious, clean, and adorably decorated. The owner was friendly and kind. My 12 year old son and I had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend staying here!

Everything went smoothly. Access to the park was terrific. The hosts came and met with me while I was there and they are just terrific people and seem to genuinely care about their guests.

Lovely, cozy, clean space

Absolutely loved staying here - room was spacious, bathroom was even bigger. King bed was very comfortable, lots of pillows. Plush towels. We loved having the corner unit, lots of windows and a beautiful grove of pine trees in the back. Easy access, able to park right in front of your room. Super close to Itasca north entrance. Great price. There's a fridge and microwave as well. The only very small recommendation I'd have is for a warm, dim lighting option (floor lamp maybe?) in the room instead of the cold LED lights by the bed. Would add to the cozy ambiance. :) Thank you for the hospitality! Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Great stay

We loved staying here. It was clean, a big room. Host was very responsive with questions. Would definitely stay here again! The room didn’t have the futon, host offered to bring air mattress or toddler mattress (for toddler) but we declined, since we all could fit on the king bed together. So it was no problem. Host messaged on second day and asked if we needed clean towels. Great host! Don’t forget to sign the guest book!

Lovely place, perfect location

We had a great time visiting Itasca State Park. The cabin was in a perfect location, right across the street from the Park. The cabins are new, clean, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained. Communication with the owner was easy and pleasant. Very highly recommend staying here if you get the opportunity!

Nice location next to Itasca State Park

The room was very nice and clean! The wood walls inside the room were beautiful. It was very quiet and the bed was very comfy with super soft sheets. It was also dog friendly so we could bring Buddy!

You can’t go wrong

Clean, spacious, comfortable room. Convenient location. Grocery/gas/liquor store across the street. About 1/2 mile from the north entrance of Itasca State Park and the headwaters of the Mississippi. They also sell pizza & ice cream on site. The staff was friendly and helpful. Christine goes above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay and have everything you need. Lobo’s Bar & Grill is just a short drive from there. Very good food and friendly staff.

Up North Retreat

The listing details of the property are spot on! The room was extremely neat/clean with basically a brand new feel. Big Timbers also had an Ice Cream/Snack shop as well as gift-souvenir items. The host was very accommodating and social. We would highly recommend staying at this property while visiting the Lake Itasca Park area! Thanks for the fantastic hospitality!

It was very quiet. Everyone was kind and efficient. The couch was worn and smelled like urine. We had a little trouble finding the place, but that is our Gps problem.
