Modern Cottage on the Susquehanna River

Located directly on the Susquehanna River in The Endless Mountains, “The Eagles Nest" has all the modern amenities you need, while still making you feel cozy and at home in this charming cottage. Enjoy dinner on the 3 season porch or relax on the large deck and watch the Eagles and wildlife from the perfect vantage point. Families and friends can kayak, fish or simply lounge and read a book. Bring your boat and launch directly from the property (we highly recommend a 4WD truck to launch your boat). In the evenings you can have a campfire (wood is supplied for you) or light the propane fireplace on the deck. And if you want to leave the house, you can take a 15 minute drive to Tunkhannock to visit the wineries or antique stores. The vacation possibilities are endless!

first time at Eagles Nest and we can’t wait to come back. Absolutely amazing snowy peaceful stay with our pups. best way to welcome 2026. you can’t beat the panoramic views and beautiful icy river flowing in the back. house was comfy, clean, & great amenities. Couldn’t get enough of the porch and the swing. hopefully we’ll be back to experience the warmer weather and all this place has to offer. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

The accommodation was delightful! Gorgeous views, beautifully appointed home that addressed every convenience, great place for our dogs and for us in every way. We were able to prepare all our meals there with ease. Holly is on top of everything and great to work with.

Relaxing Stay!

The house is well appointed and so clean! The view from the deck and the location are amazing. We were out on the river everyday fishing, swimming and kayaking. Overall, a really nice place to reconnect with family and relax.

The property perfectly accommodated 2 adults, 4 teens snd 2 dogs. There was plenty of parking. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and spending time by the fire. The kitchen is very well stocked. Pictures don’t do this location justice.

Wonderful weekend getaway

This house was beautiful, clean, open, and exactly what is pictured. There are lots of amenities and we had plenty to do while staying there. At night the backyard can get pretty buggy but with games and a TV we were all set. Holly was responsive, kind and gracious. I would recommend this house to anyone that asked.

We loved our stay at the Eagles Nest. The property was even better in-person than in photos, and the layout was perfect for our two families. The kids loved the loft. The deck was the perfect place to relax and eat meals. Owner very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

River Gem

The Eagle’s Nest property is a hidden gem situated on the Susquehanna River. The home is immaculate and designed so well. The huge deck, the privacy and the view were major benefits for us. We loved every minute of our stay. Holly was a pleasure to deal with throughout our booking process and our short visit. Hope to revisit soon.

Amazing Easter Vacation

This place is definitely a 5-star!!! We utilized this retreat as an Easter getaway with friends and family, plus our dogs! It's beautiful, well maintained and has everything you can think of! The river out front, the beautiful scenery, the swings, the deck, the fully stocked kitchen (with my favorite little cheese cutters), all the ammentities, the kayaks- everything! Fantastic getaway!!!

Lovely, quiet escape for friends!

This cottage is a beautiful place to escape with friends. We enjoyed quiet, excellent outdoor spaces and beautiful river views. We especially enjoyed the sunroom and back deck. The vintage design elements were lovely, too. A couple of things were not great: the water has a bad smell and there are a lot of steps. Regardless, we will definitely add this to our list of places to visit again.

Birthday Bash weekend

The Eagles Nest was fabulous!!! We loved everything about our stay. We had a 70th birthday get together for my husband. The cabin was well stocked and very clean. It was easy to check in and Sarah answered all our questions. We will definitely be back!!! Loved seeing all the eagles.

The Perfect River Retreat!

I highly recommend this cottage on the river…a very relaxing and peaceful setting with all the amenities needed for a great vacation. The owner is super responsive and we could not have been happier with the accommodations!

Wonderful family getaway

Our time on the river was absolutely perfect. The kids had a blast fishing, kayaking, and spending evenings around the fire pit, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The house itself was ideal—so well-equipped and comfortable, it truly felt like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for anything more, and we’re already looking forward to returning!

Beautiful View

We had an amazing time staying here. The home was beautiful and very clean. The card and bottle of wine was a very nice gesture and the view from the deck was amazing. We will definitely be staying here again.
