Bear Valley Retreat | Cozy and Private Cabin near Lake Chatuge | Dog Friendly

Amazing 3-bedroom, 3 full bath cabin nestled off of a quiet fully paved road in the woods. Only a mile and a half from public access to Lake Chatuge, 5 miles to downtown Hiawassee, 13 miles from Brasstown Bald, and 27 miles to Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino. Blairsville, Young Harris, Helen, and Hayesville all under a half-hour drive. We love being in the heart of it all. Spend a day on the wonderful Lake Chatuge, check out the vineyards, or go on a hike. There are endless things to do!

**DOG FRIENDLY** ($75 fee with a limit of 2 dogs)

Beautifully furnished 3 bedrooms and 3 FULL baths with a pull out futon in the loft. In addition, we have two cots that work well for kids and a pack and play. All 3 beds are queen size. Gas logs fireplace inside and a fire pit area outside. Gas grill located on the back deck. Sit on the back deck with your morning coffee or grill out and take in the beautiful mountain views and sounds of the songbirds. Play a couple rounds of pool or have a family game night with many fun board games to choose from. This house is equipped with all of the kitchen essentials to cook a gourmet meal. Two different coffee makers to get your morning started. Smart TV's are in the den and basement living area with many streaming platforms. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and there is great cell reception on the entirety of the property. Ample parking to fit 4-6 cars!

*Last 150 feet of the driveway is fully paved and steep. You're in the mountains!*

Bear Valley Retreat

From start to finish, the host had good communication. All the details were communicated from directions, check in, helpful information during the stay, and check out. The cabin is top notch and an amazing cabin with great views. Its up on the mountain and a very peaceful location. The beds were comfortable, The cabin has all the amenities needed. The gas fireplace was great for the cold temps. We had a wonderful relaxing time. I would definitely return for another visit.

Wow!

Beautiful cabin! Close to everything but feels very secluded. Awesome views of the mountains. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be coming back.

Family mountain vacation

We vacation in the north GA mountains every year and stay at a new cabin each year. This cabin exceeded my expectations! Beautiful property, very well kept, super clean, had everything you could possibly need! Appreciate the attention to detail and would definitely recommend this cabin! Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful place to stay for our annual winter vacation!

Wonderful Thanksgiving Week

Family vacation with our kids and grandkids for Thanksgiving week. The cabin was beautiful, well appointed, very clean and welcoming! Brenton was always available and accessible if needed. Gorgeous Views

We had a fabulous time on this mountain trip. It was peak foliage season and the view was gorgeous from all angles of this cabin. Three bedrooms and baths on separate floors worked out perfectly for the family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time just relaxing and enjoying the family. The cabin owners were very prompt in replying to our requests. We would highly recommend a visit.

Words cannot describe the beauty of this property…. From the minute you arrive in the driveway, and open the front door you are in for a treat…the view from the porch took my breath away ! The home was awesome! The view from the deck was amazing! The hosts were so accommodating, allowing us to stay one night early with a last minute request. They provide pretty much everything for household needs. Hands down, they are the best hosts we have ever had. Thank you Kyle & Brenton!

Great mountain getaway!

The cabin is nestled in a mountain forest where you are surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature. It is the perfect place to relax and reboot. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. We were very impressed with the solid construction of the cabin and the attention to detail.The beds were especially comfortable and cozy. Bear valley is located near a variety of activities, restaurants, and attractions. Our host, Brent was quick to address any concerns and provided exceptional service. You can tell that he really wants everyone to have the perfect experience at the cabin. Highly recommend!

Fabulous house and experience

Wonderful mountain property, such a great location close to the town of Hiawassee, beautifully appointed home, fantastic experience with the hosts, the house came with so many little touches like garbage bags, tide pods and shampoo and conditioner in each shower. Love it. ❤️. The driveway was a little intimidating for me a Florida girl, because it is steep but after going up and down twice I was very comfortable with it.

Our Stay at Bear Valley Retreat

We stayed 8 nights, the owners were very easy to communicate with and always responded very quickly. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The drive to the house was easy, the roads and driveway are paved. Very close to town and tourist spots. We would definitely stay again.

Spectacular Cabin with Breathtaking Mountain View’s

Bear Valley Retreat Cabin was a perfect "home away from home" for our recent mountain vacation! Our host family thought of everything we might need during our stay, and the cabin was immaculate with special touches. This cabin boasts 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms on 3 separate levels which was perfect for us. The Mountain View’s were absolutely beautiful, especially with a cup of coffee in the morning on the back deck. The location makes it easy to reach area attractions, yet it feels secluded and peaceful. We plan to return in the future.

This property was absolutely beautiful. We booked it for the weekend for a wedding we attended just up the mountain. For us, the location was perfect, the size was perfect, the scenery was perfect… we will definitely be booking again.

Wonderful View!

Overall, it was a great stay. Wanted to stay an extra night but, it wasn't an option. Things were a little dusty which aggravated my sinuses. Few lights were out inside, nothing major. The downstairs smelled a little musty, so we didn't hang out down there to much. I did attempt to vacuum before leaving (fur babies came with!) but the vacuum didn't work very well at all.

DO NOT stay anywhere else!

Best cabin, ever. My family has stayed in various towns in North Georgia over the last five years as we are looking for a place to settle after retirement. We decided on Hiawassee this time and picked this cabin for a 10-day vacation. It could not have gone better! The cabin is even more beautiful than in the pictures. Spectacular view off the balcony that will make you never want to go back to a big city. The best thing about it, was the silence. Sit on the balcony and all you will hear are the leaves rustling and the birds chirping! The amenities made the stay over the top. Great cell service, Wi-Fi, and Fire TV with YouTube TV (didn’t miss any playoff games!). Plenty of needed items in the pantry and all throughout the cabin - it’s these little touches you notice from one place to another, and Brent excelled. Last, but not least, was the exceptional service Brent provided. From the time we booked until we left, we could not have asked for a more gracious and accommodating host. Thank you so much!! If you’re going to Hiawassee, this is the ONLY place you should stay.

This home exceeded our expectations. It looks just like the pictures. Really close to Helen which is the cutest town. This was our first family vacation and had 4 adults 4 kids. Everyone had a ball. Definitely recommend to others.

Perfect cabin for a family mountain vacation!

This cabin was perfect for our family, as everyone had their own room with an on-suite bathroom and all were on separate floors. The decor was very well done, with just the perfect cabin feel. This home had everything that would be needed for a relaxing, worry-free stay. With amazing views from every window, the location was quiet and secluded, but close to restaurants and stores. We were visited by a bunch of turkeys (the birds, not humans) and a beautiful deer on the way out. The driveway is steep for us flat-landers, but it made the arrival a little more exciting. I would definitely recommend this home for anyone looking to visit the GA mountains.

Awesome Experience!!!

Everything was 5 Star. Brent was in constant communication with me and made everything simple. Attention to detail was everywhere. If you are looking for an amazing getaway that feels like you’re secluded from everything but still close to town and the lake, this is the place to be. The views are beyond words and you can really relax and feel like you’re away from it all. We will definitely be back!!!

Nothing short of extraordinary!

From the first day we walked in, we were amazed. The cabin is very nice, spacious, well set up, clean, decorated, and makes you feel right at home. Everything and more we could have needed for a family, for an entire week, was available. The host is wonderful and stays in touch with you at any time of the day, we were answered every question and we feel they went above and beyond to make the stay pleasant and wonderful. This is definitely a place we will book again. If you’re questioning this booking, i promise it will meet and exceed all your expectations.
