While we do not offer cable tv in most of our rentals here at Lake Eden we did upgrade our onsite wifi pretty substantially recently so that guests can access entertainment that way. Thank you for your feedback on your stay at Lake Eden. I am sorry that everything was not to your liking. It is certainly our desire for all guests to have a positive stay. As I mentioned prior to your arrival unfortunately there was a part on back order for the gas fireplace that we were waiting on. I do wish we could have had it operational for you. We do provide a screen and DVD player as well as wifi for entertainment but as our listing states, there is no cable or satellite in the cottage. In regards to the stereo, there is a vintage record player and stereo in a cabinet however most guests these days choose to play music on their personal devices. I did offer to come and make sure the stereo was working but that offer was declined. We will certainly check out the status of the beds, although they have all been replaced recently and we had not heard any other comments in that regard. Unfortunately the space in the bedroom where the bed is will not accommodate a king but of course we also do list the bed sizes that are available. The cottage has two queen bedrooms and a trundle room.

Our property is adjacent as mentioned to a 700 acre summer camp, and while we do provide an in-house map of the grounds and try to make the borders clear, with two properties of this size it can become tricky to have signage located at every point. That being said, we are sorry you had that interaction and have had a discussion with the camp in regards to the over-enthusiasm the counselor demonstrated in this case while focusing on child safety. Fortunately most of the camp experience as a neighbor relates to the sound of dinner bells and bugles in the distance.

Thank you for your review. As mentioned we did come and instruct on how to use the dishwasher which is actually less than a few months old. It has been used many times since and no problems have been found. Unfortunately the start process is not the most intuitive we have ever seen and although the manual is there in the kitchen we will be printing instructions for the future to assist. We did replace the toaster as this was the first time we heard of the problem. The dryer has also been working as usual. We were unaware the guest had any mobility issues which is unfortunate as we do keep a portable ramp on property for us when needed.

Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay. As our listing states, the cottage has two bedrooms with queen beds and one smaller room with the two trundle beds. Basically two singles that can be put together or used separately. We will certainly check to see if the iron or other items has gone missing from the house. They sometimes do unfortunately along with hairdryers, etc. As for the property itself, yes our place at Lake Eden is over 70 acres of mostly open fields, some woods and a small lake which you drive directly past on your way to the lodgings. The cottage itself sits above one of the streams that feed the lake. Most guests enjoy the space and sense of privacy which Lake Eden provides.

We do apologize for this inconvenience and certainly hope to have it resolved soon. While there is an in-house guest book with basic information re. wifi and the cottage, we will certainly take a look to see if there is additional information we can add to make guest stays easier.

Thank you for visiting and for your review. In each of sequoia’s three bedrooms there are some combo of shelves or cabinets as well has hanging rods for clothes. We will definitely take a look and replace coat hangers if they’ve gone missing. Verizon works best on the property (it’s what we use) with some other services being limited. We also do recommend for guests whose phones don’t get good reception to look at making internet calls as we have strong wifi in each rental at Lake Eden.

We will also check to make sure the dehumidifiers we run continually are operating properly as after a wet season in the mountains maintaining good air quality is of course extremely important.
