Superior Shangri-La!

Very private, conveniently located home with year-round outdoor hot tub and several amenities. Don't forget to bring your dog(s)! No pet fees, but we expect you to clean up thoroughly after your dog. We even provide the easily accessible fenced dog run and waste bags.

Our house is perfect when attending an area wedding, graduation, Bayfront Festivals, Concerts, group ATV or motorcycle rides and Grandma's Marathon. Relax with your friends or family on our 14' X 42' deck with recessed hot tub. Grill some food, play pool, ping pong, & cornhole. Pool table, ping pong and a TV are located in the very large, heated garage. Or just relax on the couch in the central AC while streaming a movie on the 55" HDTV with Bose sound bar (Netflix and WiFi included). Then, spend some time down by the fire pit & try some stargazing with our telescope. Wood for the fire pit, in addition to propane for the grill, and to heat the garage are provided at no extra charge. We have hosted guests celebrating honeymoons, anniversaries, girls/guys weekends, graduations, birthdays, engagements, vacations, business trips and snowmobile/ATV/motorcycle groups. We are confident you will enjoy your stay!
*Please note there are a couple deck stairs to enter the house, fairly steep stairs with a handrail to go up to the second floor, somewhat steep stairs to go down to the laundry, and deck stairs to get on/off the deck. People with mobility issues and children should take caution.

Great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great communication from the host. The hot tub was perfect and our group enjoyed the pool table and ping pong. The kitchen was well stocked as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet getaway

A few friends and I stayed here and it was a great spot not too far from town! The hot tub was a perfect way to end the day and there was plenty room for the 5 of us.

Wonderful place, great location, amazing time!

Check in was really easy and very stressless. There were plenty of places to sleep and plenty of space to relax! We really enjoyed the location and affordability. The hot tub was also an amazing feature that was enjoyed. Really suited four adults, a toddler, and two pups well! We would definitely stay again!

Convenient location for great family fun!

My family and I enjoyed the convenient and secluded location. Easy access to all areas of Superior, Canal Park, and the North Shore. The fire pit, hot tub, and large deck were great amenities. Communication with the property manager was excellent. We would book and stay again!

Great for family and dogs

This property is as listed, and a great spot for family and your dogs. The owners were very communicative, and we would stay here again. If you wanna trip to the North Shore, this is a great homebase. Close to restaurants, parks, and a skip and hop Tell me to hit the highway to travel further up north.

Private pet friendly getaway

My family and I needed a place to stay near Duluth where we could bring our dog. This was perfect for us. The house is tucked away and very private. We loved the big deck with an awesome new hot tub! Communication with the owners was fantastic.

Not the fanciest, but adequate for needs

There is a lot to entertain at this location and host's are very friendly and quick to respond to questions. While it is an older home that comes with some quirks it offers all you need to visit the shores area.

Nice home in wooded area, but still within the city. Hot tub and porch were great. Yard worked great for dog to run. Kids enjoyed netflix!

Great location, plenty of room

We did a lot of activities around Duluth and northern Wisconsin/Minnesota on our vacation and this house was a good distance. The house is located in town but it felt like it was out in the country since we were tucked away in woods, which we liked. The house was clean and the owners were very nice and responsive to texts.

Perfect location!

This property was exactly as listed. It was very clean, and close to Superior as well as Duluth, but the house itself didn't have any houses close by. The hot tub was amazing, the perfect end to a day of game playing and hiking. The owner is SUPER communicative and easy to get in touch with. Highly recommend this place for a family getaway.

Communication was good it was difficult to initially find the property so I would try to go during the daytime, nice hot tub clean house the stairs to get upstairs are a little daunting and it was very warm up there but otherwise an overall good stay

Very peaceful setting.

We absolutely loved our stay at Shangri-La! Even though you're right in town it feels very private. The hosts have put a lot of thought into making your stay a great experience. Plenty of games to keep you entertained and you'll have everything you need to enjoy your stay. The hot tub was very clean and works great. I definitely recommend you will not be disappointed. I also love that you can bring your dog.

Nice and comfortable

Very accommodating place. Everything was clean and ready for us to have a great weekend. Enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub. Would have enjoyed fire pit and corn hole if snow wasn’t in the ground. Really close to all activities we needed. Snow hill and fishing. Had a great time with family.

Great location

We came to snowmobile, right by a gas station which was right on the trail, so that was awesome! Hot tub was great after being out all day! They needed to upgrade cookware, which the owner said they were looking into, along with dishwasher. But super easy to find- right off the hwy, near the trail, on the edge of town. Overall, good stay.

Very fun getaway in Wisconsin! There was corn hole, ping pong, pool table, and large tv in the heated garage! The house was comfortable and had more amenities than was listed in the online description. I was very impressed with the management…they responded quickly and politely with all my comments and questions. Very nice place to stay!

Girls weekend

Loved the hot tub! Lots of nice amenities in a place full of character. Private lot. The driveway was surprising as it it parallel to and right next to the train tracks. Some train traffic, but it was minimal. Looking forward to coming back next year!

Our stay

It was nice had room for us. Not impressed with the stairs to upstairs. Needs more lighting. Dog friendly. Loved the game room and the hot tub. We used them both. Close to where we were going .
