Designer Retreat in Quaint Historic District w Front Porch Dining under the oaks
"Perfect in every way... Happy hours & dinner on the covered front porch. This home is a hidden gem." - Tamara, Oct 2022
"The beautifully displayed breakfast pastries and delicious coffee gave us a warm welcome as we entered the French inspired kitchen. The beds were so comfortable, and everything we needed for a wedding/iron, steamer, washer and dryer, front porch for socializing and eating, easy entrance/exit (two steps), and ample parking aided my family to enjoy a hectic, busy, and celebratory weekend!" - Lynda, April 2023
"The cleanest, most comfortable, best decorated VRBO I have ever been in. Perfect for our girls weekend! Host was so helpful and accommodating. We will be back!" - Lori, Mar 2023
The house was like a spa experience. Front porch eating area beautiful. Coffee and croissants. Amazing! - Jean, October 2022
This early 1900s boutique abode has a secret rumored history and was designed with an unforgettable guest experience in mind. You'll find endless special touches to look forward to here-- luxurious linens, coffee + tea selections featuring Greenville's cult favorite Methodical Coffee, indoor + outdoor dining spaces inspired by quaint European cafes, classic boardgames, and a native Greenvillian to recommend local gems as you plan your stay.
*****This home is a licensed City of Greenville rental which means you can book future stays with confidence.*****
"We stayed here while in town for our daughter’s wedding. We loved it so much we joked we might never leave!" - Jean, October, 2022
KITCHEN, DINING + LIVING AREAS
The Cafe
Inspired by a cozy European cafe, this warm, inviting kitchen has everything you need to enjoy meals with family and friends or relax over a cup of local coffee and a good book at one of the three cafe tables. Featuring: A single cup coffee maker with provided Starbucks K-cups, a 12-cup coffee maker with Greenville's very own Methodical Coffee, a french press for the coffee connoisseur, various tea selections, high quality pots, pans and utensils, serving and drink ware, classic spices, oil and vinegar, and high quality, sustainable soaps by Public Goods.
The Indoor Living Space
The perfect space to play a classic board game, enjoy a cocktail or cozy up in front of a movie, the indoor living space offers plenty of seating and side tables. Featuring: A large, cozy sectional, two swivel chairs, circular sea grass coffee table, Samsung Frame TV, and a basket full of classic games to play with friends and family.
The Outdoor Living Space
This charming front porch with a dining table for 8 and three petite sofas is the picture of perfection when it comes to connecting over a morning coffee or afternoon charcuterie board. Serving ware, an ice bucket, table runner, and linen napkins are stocked in the kitchen for those days that call for a simple but luxurious picnic right at home.
BATHROOMS
Bathroom One: The Chess Bathroom
Originally the home's butler's pantry, this space is a comfortable new addition. Featuring: Public Goods hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, antique marble vanity, sconces and overhead lights for optimal lighting, custom glass enclosed shower, teak shower stool, and Delta shower system with hand shower.
Bathroom Two: The Vintage Bathroom
The home's original bathroom with marble floor tile that was uncovered and restored during the latest renovation. Featuring: Public Goods hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, marble console vanity, sconces and overhead lights for optimal lighting, custom glass enclosed shower, teak shower stool, and Delta shower system with hand shower. Note: Due to the age and previous treatment of the original floor tile, some imperfections are noticeable.
BEDROOMS
Each named after a historic resident, every bedroom was designed with guest comfort in mind and its own unique theme to experience. All bedrooms feature top rated memory foam mattresses, Brooklinen duvet covers, and 100% cotton, hotel-quality sheets.
Bedroom One: "Beatrice"
The largest bedroom with direct access to the chess bathroom as well as two additional entries from the hallway and family room via original french doors. Featuring: A plush, queen-sized bed, bedside tables with phone charging centers, olive green velvet blackout drapes inspired by the room's original green-bricked fireplace hearth, seated vanity, hair-dryer, walk-in closet, two luggage racks, and two ottomans.
Bedroom Two: "Ferrie"
Directly across the hall from Beatrice. Featuring: A large, king-sized bed, bedside nooks each with a quaint reading light and marble shelf with phone charging center, velvet blackout drapes, full-length mirror with vintage vanity stool, hair-dryer, closet with iron, full-sized ironing board, steamer, and two luggage racks. Fun fact: This room's original fireplace was once covered up and accidentally discovered during a previous renovation.
Bedroom Three: "Minnie"
Accessed directly from the living room by way of its charming, original french doors. Featuring: A cozy, queen-sized bed, quaint fireplace, bedside tables with phone charging centers, plush chair and full-length mirror that easily transforms into the perfect space to get ready for the day, blackout drapes surrounding the windows and french doors, clothing rack, and one luggage rack.
Bedroom Four: "Sarah"
Accessed from the hallway and immediately next to the vintage bathroom. Featuring: A queen-sized bed, gorgeous original chair rail molding, bedside tables with phone charging centers, blackout drapes, linen stool and full-length mirror, clothing rack, vintage velvet bench, and one luggage rack.
WALKABILITY AND DRIVABILITY:
Parking for 5 cars is available in a private parking area behind the house. Directions will be provided prior to check-in.

There are many public parking garages around the city where locals regularly park, and a few valet options I highly recommend depending on your destination. Contact me after booking for itinerary and parking recommendations.
