Just a few steps across the street from Whitewater Lake, this newly remodeled retreat is the perfect place to relax and embrace lake life. Sip your morning coffee or unwind in the evening on the spacious deck, where the peaceful views set the tone for your stay. With lake access right outside your door and a nearby boat launch, getting on the water is simple and convenient. Two kayaks are included for your use, or you can check out local boat rentals for a fun day of exploring.

Inside, the home is fully furnished and comfortably sleeps four, featuring 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. The bright, welcoming interior has everything you need to settle in and enjoy your stay.

You’ll love the balance of being close to everything while still feeling a world away. In just 10 minutes you can reach the City of Whitewater and UW-Whitewater campus, with restaurants, movies, and groceries at your fingertips. Yet the home’s setting provides that classic “Up North Wisconsin” feel, tucked in the heart of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. Hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing trails are all within a 5-minute drive, and snowmobiling trails run right next to the property.

The location is also perfect for exploring southern Wisconsin and beyond:

Great stay!

The house is beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch. The house had a lot of kitchen utensils and appliances that were helpful.

Yes, everything was fine. The gas grill worked great, the deck is nice. The lake is close and the boat landing worked for our tandem kayak and we enjoyed the beautiful lake.

Relaxing Getaway

Our stay here was extremely comfortable. We especially enjoyed the spacious and convenient long deck at the front of the house and used it for all our meals, which we prepared daily in the very spacious and well-equipped kitchen. Our communication with the host both before and during our stay, was prompt, friendly and helpful.Would definitely stay here again if needng to be in Whitewater.

Fantastic location, Larry was really responsive to messages. Would have been better if the weather would have cooperated for the Saturday night concert at Alpine Valley. This Oasis on the lake will be on our radar for a return trip!

Awesome accomodations

Really nice lake cottage. Beautiful furnishings. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped for what we needed. The view of the lake from the deck was wonderful. The hosts were wonderful to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend and will definitely keep in mind for future visits to the area.

So Good!!

From check in to check out, we couldn’t ask for anything more. Beautiful property and a beautiful area. We loved this spot! Our hosts had everything prepared so well for us when we got there and they went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed during our stay. As a family coming to the Whitewater Lake area for the first time it was so greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend others to stay here. You’ll love it!

Looking for a nice get away from Chicago

Larry was wondering!! The home is newly renovated with plenty of outdoor seating and a lovely oversized deck. Lots of outdoor activities with the kayaks, coolers, wagon, chairs & beach towels so you are ready for the beach. The house is well appointed with everything you need. Also, lots to do around the area. I will definitely go back again… thank you so much Larry for Wonderful vacation!!

Beautiful house by Whitewater Lake

Beautiful and newly remodeled home across the street from Whitewater Lake. Everything was very comfortable and they had everything you needed. The porch was nice although cruddy weather didn’t allow us to spend much time on it. We had a minor problem with air conditioning but communicating with the host was easy and it was fixed right away.

Really nicely furnished and equipped cottage. Especially enjoyed bike rides around the lake, walks on Lakeshore drive, having a nice gas grill that fired up easily and bbq dinners on the deck. Owner messaged me almost everyday to check to make sure everything was ok and even brought clean towels by late in the week. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent Stay

The host, Larry, was very responsive to messages before, during, and after our stay. The home was very clean and we appreciated how well-stocked the kitchen was with dishes, glassware, and cooking utensils. We also enjoyed using the two kayaks that are available for guests and had a nice paddle on Whitewater Lake. The lake is calm and great for kayaking. The front yard is perfect for playing yard games too. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return in future. Thank you for everything, Larry!

Short Weekend Getaway

Larry is a wonderful host! He allowed us early entry to his place; he checks in with ideas for dining etc. Larry just really wants his guests to enjoy their stay. He has all the local info in a book to make it convenient; he is always available for any questions that you may have. Great guy! The house is newly remodeled with comfy beds, nice sheets, linens, the kitchen is well stocked, etc. The house is close to the "downtown" area, very close to kettle moraine trails (super close by), the lake is close by to drop in kayaks, and a very safe, welcoming neighborhood. Thanks Larry; we enjoyed our stay!

The home surpassed expectations. The beds , furnishings , high quality towels , life vests in every size made a quick vacation completely worry free. The lovely neighbor Linda across the street is kind and willing to donate a cup of sugar if in need.

Had a fun time for our anniversary! Can't wait to come back! Super clean, inviting atmosphere inside and out, exactly as listed. So nicely decorated. Owner Larry is always helpful and friendly. House has nice lighting and lots of windows for sunlight. Comfy furniture and beds, and we all loved the shower area, and fireplace. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of extras. The porch has very fun lights, and there is a cozy fire pit area.out front. You can see the lake, to the left, through the homes across the street, and the bonus is good fishing! Hope to return soon. Whitewater is known as a college town. But 8 minutes away is this hidden gem. A large enough lake to enjoy, with a public beach, but rarely any crowds. You get that “up north” feeling while still being close to Milwaukee , Madison and Chicago
