The house was very nice and the location was perfect. The jacuzzi room was a little dusty although we didn’t use it at all. Other than that my daughter’s senior prom send off was a success!!! I advised the owner of what we were doing ahead of time & she was really cool & easy to deal with. The neighbors were awesome!!! I’d definitely rent again & highly recommend

Unique home/ great sunset!

Everything was really unique and the history of the property was so interesting to us! We loved the stay. Enjoyed the hot tub very much and the sunset view! Wow! Wish there would’ve been instructions on how to use the heating system (mini split) on second floor. Otherwise highly recommended

Wonderful

We could not have chosen a better home. The property has plenty of parking for guests. There is a lot of lawn for the littles to run around and play. The back yard is completely fenced in. The hot tub area is an absolute plus. And the design of the house…..fabulous!

Beautiful property

We loved the set up and the history of the property. There were a few technical difficulties with the hot tub which was the key attraction for my friends and family to have some relaxation time. Over all we enjoyed the time together in this property.

Peaceful stay with easy access

Located close to main roads with wonderful amenities. Our group enjoys cooking and grilling; the big green egg was great! We played billiards and watched Netflixs. The screened courtyard was awesome(with hot tub). Great place to stay and on-point hostess. Much appreciated. We will be back!

Immaculate House, Great Hostess!

This house is IMMACULATE. Not only does the listing capture the beauty of this property, the property itself outshines it. We had a great time here and the few times we needed to contact the hostess, she was super kind and helpful! It was a wonderful and absolutely exquisite stay for us with tons of rooms and great character, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Nice place but lacking

I enjoyed our stay. As did the family but it was tight on space to sleep. Needs more dish and bath towels. Trash was overflowing when we arrived so that was an issue.

Family Vacation

This property worked well for our family with a few hitches. It could use some additional amenities to make the stay more comfortable like a better stocked kitchen with dish towels and wash clothes. The fishing is fun for small kids but expect fish to be small. When we arrived the three poly carts were full from previous guests and we had no place to go with ours.

Historic Villa

We had a great stay!! But for the price, and as often as this place is booked, I would think they could spend some of the income on up keep. Badly in need of a facelift. House need painted, Roof missing shingles, Landscaping around the house and pond needs help. Too much clorine in the hot tub. House plants dying. Pool table not level, and pool cues tips broken. I would not suggest this to a friend until things are fixed.

Cool historical property

We had a girls trip for a work retreat and 13 of us stayed at this property. The house is very cute on the inside an decorated well. The master bedroom has a king and a pull out coach and the Second bedroom can sleep six. The third bedroom on the main floor can sleep to in a twin that has a trundle under it. There are also extra rollaway beds in the closet I’m the bedroom on the first floor.. The kitchen was fully stocked! And the back yard is beautiful with a small pond and a water feature. The location is also very convenient to get to places very quickly.

Really good stay

Really great location. Easy to access. Plenty of room for the old people. The old people wouldn't attempt the stairs, though. Bathrooms on every level. Very bright and lots of windows. Bring an eye mask! I would stay again, in a cooler season. The main floor was cool, but the upper levels were warmer than I would have liked, for sleeping. I don't think it was cooler than 74°F on the top floor. The rugs were a trip hazard for the old people and the door was hard to push open and closed. All the tech worked fine. I couldn't find the vacuum picured in the listing.

DON'T STAY HERE IN THE SUMMER

The photos looked amazing but they were older pictures and the house is in need of some TLC. The pond was cool but needed cleaned up very swampy and needed all the tall weeds cleaned up. The air conditioning system was drastically undersized for the 2nd and 3rd floor. It stayed at least 80 degrees in these rooms and would get in the low 70 my mornings. The host knew about the issues and had fans, swamp cooler, and spot coolers trying to help but it did very little to control the heat during the day. We almost all made pallets down stairs in the living room floor to escape the heat. Thankfully the AC worked great on the 1st floor and everyone loved the pool table. You should bring you own pots and pans. The Teflon is peeling on all of them and I was glad I brought my own. They had 2 stainless steel pans thankfully and I used those as well. Be careful with the big green egg, one leg is broken and wants to tip over. This is a major safety hazard. Also, the hottub didn’t work because the plug was melted into the wall outlet. We were able to pull it out and find another plug. Looks like this has happened before. My guess is the outlet is undersize and is an electrical hazard. Overall it was a good place but with a properly sized air conditioning system, some paint, cleaning, and yard maintenance this place could be great.

Unique property near major attractions

This is a very unique, eccentric property conveniently located near major attractions. The backyard overlooks the highway, which isn’t displayed in the listing. This creates some highway noise and distracts from the peaceful view that’s advertised. During our stay, we had some issues with the AC not cooling, bedroom lights coming on/off automatically throughout the night and smoke detectors beeping during the night. The host was responsive to attempt to resolve them, but we had to take time out of our trip to assemble a portable AC unit and fans, pick up a ladder from the store and install new batteries in the smoke detector. The bunk bed was also missing the ladder, so we had to attempt to utilize a step ladder that the host had delivered, which wasn’t the safest option for children. The home remained uncomfortably hot for most of our trip, even after utilizing fans and a portable AC unit. The home must have been recently sprayed for pests, as we noticed quite a few dead spiders in most of the rooms upon Checkin. We were thankful they were not alive, but it was still off putting. We also experienced a power outage during our stay. Overall, this is a fun property for families and we liked the hot tub, pool table and large yard. Suggestions to prepare for future guests would be to add trash cans and rugs to all bathrooms, solve the AC and automatically timed light issues, install a safe bunk bed ladder and install new batteries in detectors. While we appreciated the prompt response from the host, these inconveniences took away family time throughout our stay.
