Waterfront Vacation Home

This beautiful 3 bedroom fully furnished home situated 10 feet from the water has everything you will need for your vacation. The entire home has been upgraded with new appliances, washer and dryer, new furniture, cable and internet.

The space is comfortable with amazing views. The kitchen is fully equiped. Only a 10 minute walk away to the downtown area where there are restaurants, grocery store and a health food store. The home has wifi and cable. Lots of books and boardgames are also available to use.

There are 2 parking spaces directly behind the home.

We will always be reachable by phone or text if needed.

Cheticamp is a small acadian village situated on the Cabot Trail. The locals are friendly and are always willing to help you guide you during your stay. Make sure to eat the local lobsters and crab that are fished a couple of km away from where you are staying.

There is a local taxi service in the village.

Loved loved this place , very cozy on the beautiful waters of Cheticamp . Beautiful view . This house was clean , beds were supper comfy . My girlfriend loved getting up in the morning and going for a walk along the waters edge . Supper safe . Cozy chair upstairs in one of the bedrooms to enjoy your morning coffee while looking out unto the water.

Cheticamp delight

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this small seaside home in Cheticamp. The location was ideal, with a view from the deck over Cheticamp inlet and the island, with plenty of birds to watch. Walking distance to the town and amenities like groceries. The home was clean and well-appointed and the owners were responsive to all communications. Check on water availability before your trip; the well connection was not working and the large water tanks ran out at one point, refilled within a few hours while we were mostly out and about. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The reason I didn't leave 2 stars was because when I contacted the hosts with an issue (the one toilet in the house was not working on our arrival), the caretaker came out to fix the problem within the hour. The house was clean and the location was good and convenient (short drive) to a lot of activities and restaurants. View off the front porch is very nice. Hosts were communicative, handled a last minute change to our itinerary, and left good information about the area (don't miss the gypsum mine). However, I will say the pictures on the website are flattering. When we arrived, the back yard was a giant pit where they are installing a new well. Because of that, the water for the house was a large portable water tank, which was barely enough for our 2.5 day stay. The one shower is almost unusable, and I was tempted to go to the hardware store and buy a new head for the duration of our stay. This is a fix the owners could do in an hour for about 50. Also, gravity causes the faucet to swing down to blazing hot unless you very carefully manipulate it to the temperature you want. The property is actually on a (not busy) road that runs by the waterfront. The house had sufficient amenities (coffee, basic cooking needs) but I hope that when I ran the dishwasher at our departure I didn't exhaust the water supply.

Great place to rest your head, cozy, lots of room!

This was the PERFECT place to stay for us. Four adults (two couples) so the living room and deck was perfect for us to be able to socialize comfortable in the evening. The kitchen was large and stocked with all the dishes and appliances you would need. It was SUPER clean. The double beds were cozy - we are used to a Queen size, so we just cuddled. All good, and comfortable mattresses. The view is stunning, and the quiet street made a midnight walk by the water a beautiful end to our night. Hosts are kind, and send a list of amenities in the area for our convenience. Will definitely keep this on my list of places to stay again.

Quiet location facing the water, very nice! Only issue we had was that the water in the tap was brown in color (muddy?) as it rained heavily most of the previous day.

A neighborly slice of life in harborside Chéticamp

The house is trim but functional and up to date. It's on a quiet backwater street, sweet harborside view, popular with walkers. Managers Joleen and Stéphane handled texts swiftly and well. Chéticamp is a fascinating introduction to a modern Acadian community, which is pretty popping despite its remoteness. Its beach is shallow, toasty warm -- but the crowd hasn't found it yet.

too hot

We booked for 6 people, it sleeps 6 people. Walked into very small kitchen table with 4 chairs. Front deck had 4 chairs. One bedroom on main floor 2 upstairs. No air conditioning on when we arrived. It had to be over 100 degrees upstairs. We were there for 2 nights it never really cooled off, only the wall unit in the living room kept that room cool. Washer did not work texted owner he tried to get someone in, That was our main purpose for the rental as we were on a RV 2 week trip. A break from the rv and laundry. Owners answer our texts right away

Stayed here with my adult family and 81 yr old father, there was lots of room for all of us and the house is very well appointed and absolutely everything you could need was provided. Just a heads up for tall people, the ceilings are quite low otherwise it’s a perfect quaint little cottage with a direct water view. Enjoyed drinks on the deck watching the sunset!

Great location but some house idiosyncrasies

We appreciated the cleanliness of the home, comfortable beds and great location. The porch and living room have peaceful, lovely views of the water. On the other hand, all floors throughout the home have serious sloping issues (to the extent that I would not recommend this for people with any mobility issues.) There is a trapdoor in the bathroom that has sharp metal edges.

Charming area and wonderful people

Cheticamp is a delight. This house is in a great location. It has all the necessary pieces parts, but maybe not presented as everyone might find comfortable. It is simple and just fine and has a lot of character.
