This 1950s newly remodeled gem features vigas, hardwood and travertine floors, an open floor plan with a large island and a gourmet kitchen, and two porches with amazing views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, Fort Marcy and downtown, and is perfect for star-gazing or watching the clouds or moon roll over the mountains. Our home is within 12 minute walk to the plaza, 10 min. to the Georgia O'Keefe museum, and 20 min. walk to the Railyard. A perfect getaway for families or couples exploring the Santa Fe vibes, galleries, music, opera, gourmet food, and the original Spanish Market square. With an average of 320 sunny days each year, the area around Santa Fe is a hub for skiers, mountain bikers, golfers, hikers, river rafters, and so much more!

Spacious and comfortable, Casa Ursula's house accommodates six people. A spacious and welcoming living room features travertine floors, sumptuous seating to gather around the kiva wood-burning fire place, and a large QLED TV that’s perfect for streaming your favorite show or movie. Gather around the extra long dining room table by selecting your favorite chair to enjoy a family meal or board game, or set up your laptop to make use of the free, very fast (600 bps) Wi-Fi. Equipped with stainless steel appliances and a spacious kitchen island/breakfast bar, the kitchen cabinets are well stocked with all the cookware, dinnerware, spices and utensils you’ll need to prepare your favorite meals when dining in.

Casa Ursula features three roomy, well-furnished bedrooms with ceiling fans and two with view of the mountains. The primary bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, while bedrooms two and three are furnished with queen-sized beds. Casa Ursula's laundry room has a washer and dryer so you can pack light. The back patio features a grill next to dining table and chairs for enjoying the perfectly landscaped yard and New Mexico weather. The front patio features a comfy sofa for you to enjoy the view of the mountains or looking at stars while enjoying wine and cheese.

Absolutely perfect accommodations for a girls weekend! The house so clean and so well equipped. The host was perfect at balancing communication and privacy and was quick to respond to questions and recommendation requests. Waking up to the beautiful view from the front porch was dreamy, and the home details were both high end and comfortable! Highly recommend a stay at this very cool home

Lovely house and beautiful view!

It’s a very comfortable house with a lovely view of the mountains. The owner has a lot of great artwork as well. There are a lot of relaxing areas and the kitchen has pretty much every amenity.

Awesome experience for women's trip

Great location! Everything we wanted to do was about 10 minutes or less from the house. We enjoyed sitting outside on the top deck at night for star viewing and sitting on the front porch with our morning coffee. The living area and kitchen is the perfect size for a group of 6 adults.

Not up to standard

I have stayed in 5 different properties in Santa Fe through VRBO and they have all been charming and lovely , this the 6 one not so much. Furnishings very mix and match, garage sale. The bedding was the worst pillows that were hard as rocks and heavy. Ceiling fan in front bedroom light would come on at random times like a bright light at 3 am. Driveway steep and univiting for a walk.

We love staying here

We couldn't wait to come back. We had a fantastic stay here last year and our stay has been equally as wonderful this year. The house could not be better and the location is excellent. The owner has perfectly married the history and age of the house with modern conveniences. Hope to be back next year.

3 days in santa fe

Absolutely amazing house, property and the view. You can feel that the house received a lot of love and attention from the owner: everything is thought through, functions and esthetically pleasing. Gorgeous view, can see the sunrise, even a little trail to go up to a meditation/view bench. Easy walk slightly downhill to the plaza, about 15min. 5 min drive to a plaza with all the convenience stores/pharmacy/supermarket. Very comfortable beds. Everyone in the family enjoyed the stay. We ll be back there when visiting Santa Fe next time!

Beautifully appointed home

We stayed at Casa Ursula September 27 to October 3. The house, with beautiful views, is well situated - near the Plaza and surrounding areas. The house is very clean and the bedding is sumptuous. There is attractive art work throughout. Ursula was always responsive to inquiries. We highly recommend this property for your stay in Santa Fe.

High Desert Gem

My sister and I were traveling with our 87 y/o aunt. This was her first visit to Santa Fe and this house contributed significantly to her enjoyment of the area. This house was a lovely stay from the start to finish. The house and grounds were interesting, comfortable, spacious, and well stocked along w/beautiful art at every turn. The grounds of the house were extensive and offered several outdoor seating areas to enjoy the panoramic desert and mountain views. The owner was responsive to before and t/o our visit if I had questions. Really could not have asked for more.

Classic Santa Fe with modern amenities

The property is pristine, comfortable and stylishly decorated. It was in a great location, views were wonderful, and we felt very welcome. I would recommend it to anyone and hope to come back! My only feedback would be to offer some fans as there is no air conditioning. I was traveling with an older person, and we were quite warm, hard to sleep. I recognize the weather was unusually hot, but just would have been good to be prepared.

Ursula's home is delightful, we had just the right amount of space and a lovely patio, which we all enjoyed. The wind was very strong the day we arrived so we needed to wipe down all the counters and tables, however, other than that it was clean. One suggestion is to have a rubber mat available for people to use for the tub. We all used the master shower, we didn't use the shower in the tub for fear of slipping and falling.

I am originally from Nuremberg, Germany and have lived in the USA since 34 years. I am a geologist and work from my home. For fun, I love to trail run, road and mountain bike, ski, swim, practice yoga, go dancing and travel. I also love to go to museums and galleries as well as attend the opera and symphony in Austin and Santa Fe. At the moment I split my time between Austin and Santa Fe.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This wonderful house on the hillside close to the Plaza of Santa Fe, hiking trails, dog park, Fort Marcy, bike trails and ski area lured us with it's charm to buy it as a second home. We spend about half of the time in Santa Fe and the other time in Austin, TX. When we are not using it we are making it available for other guests to enjoy. We hope you love it as much as we do.

Walking distance to Plaza, close to galleries, ski area and hiking and biking trails. Star-gazing and enjoying the beautiful New Mexico weather.
