We want to be upfront about the status of Lake Lure. In October of 2024, Hurricane Helene left an unprecedented amount of debris, and while cleanup efforts are underway with the US Army Corps of Engineers, the lake has remained closed and will continue to be closed for the rest of 2025.

However, we're pleased to share that the town of Lake Lure has announced its official target date to fully reopen the lake for the 2026 summer season: May 1, 2026. While this timeline isn't guaranteed, we remain optimistic that this goal will be achieved through ongoing restoration efforts.

In the meantime, the magic of Lake Lure extends far beyond the water—breathtaking mountain views, charming local restaurants, award-winning vineyards, scenic hiking trails, championship golf courses at Rumbling Bald, and the world-class Tryon Equestrian Center just 25 minutes away are all ready to welcome you.

Located on the main channel and just 10 minutes to restaurants, groceries, Lake Lure Beach, and the village of Chimney Rock, you will never want to leave.

Get ready to be entranced as you enter, with the cathedral ceilings in the great room and tons of windows so that you can enjoy the mountain lake view from everywhere. There is plenty of space to gather, whether you're curled up on the sofa or cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, you will be creating memories that will last a lifetime. Enjoy the view and a meal together in the dining area that is conveniently just steps away from the kitchen. The lower-level family room features a stacked stone wall with a wood stove and comfortable furnishings. The 4 guest rooms will provide space and privacy for up to 10-12 guests.

While the inside is equipped with modern amenities including smart tv's, cable, wifi, you'll have a tough time pulling yourself away from the abundance of outdoor spaces, including 2 large deck spaces to gather. The upper & lower decks are built around a mature oak that provides shade from summer sun yet allows open views year-round.

Take a walk down to the boathouse, where there is direct access into the lake and you will spend hours enjoying the views from spacious sunning deck. Step inside where you will have access to kayak's and paddles boards. One of the most unique details of this lake house is the additional full bath right in the boathouse, as well as an extra refrigerator and game room with a ping pong table!

Yonder openly shares our Cleaning Fees in a manner of full disclosure, as we think this is the most honest and forthright approach with respect to our guests. Our Cleaning Fees are backed by our Clean Guarantee, which reflects the highest level of standards, pristine environments for our guests, and a level of clean that surpasses any other vacation homes; we literally guarantee it! - Lifejackets are not provided for kayaks and paddle boards. A guest must bring their own.

Quiet Policy: Parties, loud noise and unruly behavior are absolutely prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and the peace this mountain retreat area affords.

Pets: This home and property are very dog friendly, and guests are welcome to bring their "best friends" with them. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $130 with a limit of 2 dogs per booking party. (This is NOT automatically added by VRBO, TripAdvisor or Airbnb, so please let us know so that we can add the fee for you)

Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.
