Beautiful lake home at a private camp

Our charming new lake cabin is located on our private summer camp property on Lake Galilee, just East of Mellen, WI. Wake up to amazing sunrises over the lake!
You will have access to 60 beautiful acres of camp property for some beautiful hikes on our nature trail, as well as access to canoes, paddleboards, and kayaks to use on our 212 acre, quiet lake. You also have access to our Pickle Ball/Tennis/Basketball Court right next to the cabin! If you stay during the winter, the snowmobile trail is right next to our property with easy access. The property and surrounding area is also great for ice fishing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and downhill skiing! Hunting is not allowed on the property. Located 10 minutes from Copper Falls State Park, 25 minutes from Whitecap Mountain, and within 30 minutes from Saint Peter's Dome/Morgan Falls, Potato Falls, Upson Falls, and Wren Falls. We're also less than an hour from Bayfield and Hayward.

Everything was great and just as described! I wish we would have made it a point to spend more time at the property as it was so peaceful and beautiful....but it just wasn't in the cards this visit.Would definitely recommend!

Overall great outside the weather which we can't control. I enjoyed watching all the wild life, deer with their fawns playing, an eagle made a few appearances, swans, crane, and many other birds. Downside, the fire wood was too wet to even try to burn. Would also be nice to have a map of the place including the trails.

Short Anniversary Getaway

The cabin was just what we were looking for. Well stocked with the all necessities required. It was clean, modern, with plenty of room, of course there was only two of us. Proximity to Copper Falls State Park was excellent. The property is designed as a camp for kids during the summer, but was completely vacant when we were there. I'm not sure what it is like with the camp open, but great in the spring and fall. Highly recommended!

Weekend getaway

Came for a birthday weekend getaway to relax and go hiking. This cabin was perfect for that. Such a beautiful property, very clean and well stocked for a great stay. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!

Cozy Retreat with Great Views and Reliable Wi-Fi Near Copper Falls

This home was just as promised! It was light and airy inside, with good heat (it was a chilly weekend). I loved the fireplace, too! It had a really good night sky view and was very close to Copper Falls State Park. The trees around the property and lake had great fall colors as well. As an added plus, the internet service was very good. I paired this with a work trip, and the internet was strong enough for video meetings with no problems. I would happily stay here again.

Quiet and cozy

We enjoyed the lake and the small coziness of the house. My wife was up bear hunting and we enjoyed coming back to a comfortable lodge at the end of the night.

Erik and Kelly Rossebo own and manage Camp Eagle Ridge on Lake Galilee. They have four adult children living in the Milwaukee area. When summer camp is not in session, Kelly and Erik love to travel and enjoy friends and sports.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This property is absolutely gorgeous! Plenty of woods for hiking, and plenty of open area to enjoy as well. Beautiful Minnow Creek flows out of Lake Galilee and through the middle of the property. The 100 foot pier, equipped with a ten foot bench, is great for watching sunrises, relaxing, and fishing. The gazebo next to the cabin is also a great place to gather and relax.

Because this property is also a summer camp, you will have access to paddleboards, kayaks, canoes (seasonal - life jackets are NOT provided, please bring your own). You can also access our pickleball/tennis/basketball court (for tennis and pickleball you will need your own net). If you have more than 6 people, there are 4 additional bedrooms available to rent in the main lodge.
