Located less than one mile from the South Fork Shenandoah River, Lazy Bear Lodge is the best kept secret in the Appalachian Mountains. The lodge features stunning views from the back deck, with a walk-up lake and the Blue Ridge Mountains nestled in the distance just above the tree line. Relax in peace on the screened in deck, soak in the sun on the open air porch, or kick back lake-side at the gazebo.

Our cozy cabin is less than 2 hours from D.C. and less than 2.5 hours from Baltimore. We are located close to the best things the Shenandoah Valley has to offer!

2 minutes to Shenandoah River Outfitters
15 minutes to Luray Caverns
25 minutes to Shenandoah National Park
30 minutes to Skyline Drive

A car is necessary for transportation to and from our cabin. We are not located near any public transportation.

There is a gravel road with a steep incline you will need to drive up to get to the house. While you can certainly access the lodge without AWD, if any adverse weather conditions were to develop we would recommend you bring your 4x4!

**Pets are welcome!! We do require a $60 per pet non-refundable deposit. Two pet max please**

If you choose to utilize the Gazebo you do so at your own risk. The descent/climb each way is significant and should not be taken lightly. You MUST use the newly renovated steps and chain railing if going up/down from the Gazebo.

- Please do not tamper with cameras. we currently have one exterior camera in the front and one exterior camera in the back for insurance purposes. Tampering with cameras will lead to immediate eviction. No unregistered guests allowed at the lodge please!

- No illegal substances allowed at the lodge
- No underage drinking is permitted at the lodge

HOT TUB:
Please enjoy the hot tub at your own risk. Please shower with soap and water before entering the hot tub. Please enter and exit the hot tub SLOWLY. No jumping or diving. NO glass in/near the tub. DO NOT use if you are under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or medications. Elderly persons must consult a doctor before use. Children MUST be supervised by an adult. DO NOT enter if the temperature is above 104 degrees. Limit your soak to 15 minutes and cool off before re-entry. Anyone with a heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, or any serious illness must consult a doctor before use. Please replace cover after each use. Please do not sit/lie down on cover. Please turn off jets after use. Please do not use soaps or oils in hot tub. Please ensure the lid is on the Hot Tub and that the temperature is set to 95 degrees when you have finished using for the day/evening

Guests are expected to do their own baby-proofing as needed!

Early check-in/late check-out may be available at a rate of $25/hour. Please ask if you are interested! In some cases this may not be available (previous guest already paid for the service, which conflicts with the ability to offer this flexibility on a subsequent booking). First come first serve!
