Located a few steps from the restaurants, adult pool, kids pool, adult beach bar!!  This home has a gorgeous custom kitchen with sweeping views, 2 dishwashers, ovens, large cooking area, massive dining area, top notch furniture, 3 seating areas, 2 primary suites with gorgeous ocean views, and deck access, gorgeous NEW custom bar inside with lounging areas, high ceilings abound with custom woodwork, tile, custom new fireplace mantel, new lighting -one fuseball table, new large smart tvs, this home has something for every member of your family or guest party,

Club cards are required to enjoy any of the Fripp Island Resort amenities and they are available for purchase with this property. If you opt to purchase cards, a new 12.8% resort fee based on the rental amount before taxes, cleaning and other fees will be charged in addition to the cost of the individual Club cards.

This house will consider preapproved pets in the off season for a pet fee of $150/pet

After booking this property, VRBO will charge their service fee separately and then the reservation will be transferred to FrippIslandStay where the property owner or manager will charge your credit card for the other items seen in the quote provided by VRBO. The refundable security deposit if applicable will be included in the final payment. You will also have the opportunity to purchase travel insurance and damage protection insurance on FrippIslandStay.

We stayed there with a group of 15 ladies for the Pledge the Pink walk. House was absolutely perfect for us! Beautiful views, great layout, perfect location, and had everything we needed.

Great home and location but poor on cleanliness

I have owned STRs so my review will come as an owner who was a super/premier host, as well as a guest.Pros:Great location, 2 golf carts available, lots of space inside, access to beach, tons of beach equipment in garage, easy access door for check in, beautiful views, tons of wildlife visit back yard, a/c controls all around home for comfortable zone temperature optionsCons:I wouldn’t cook or use anything in the kitchen. Everything was absolutely disgusting. I would recommend the owners trashing everything and starting with new items. The cleaners also need to ensure items are being cleaned and not returned dirty. The ice maker had mold in it that was getting all over the ice (picture available) and the coffee maker hadn’t been cleaned out since the last stay (picture available). Cleaners are what will make or break a listing and reviews. The 500 cleaning fee seems like it’s a waste to pay since the property isn’t cleaned well. Hair in the bathroom drawers, crumbs and debris in chairs that could easily be vacuumed out, carpets and furniture very stained. Bed duvets stained. Every property should have a quarterly budget to replace linens if it’s a well visited property. Blinds do not work well in the house. Need to be replaced. Patio door handle broken and falls off on your hand in middle bedroom on 2nd floor. Can’t access deck from there. One bedroom had electrical panels exposed due to someone not hanging a picture back up in a kids room.

Family reunion at the beach

Celebrated a 72nd bday with 3 generations. Fantastic location and amazing view. Tons of room for a large party/family. We will be back for sure.

Maintenance and attention needed

The house is a great location; but definitely needs attention. One of the sinks in the upstairs master wouldn't drain. We notified the manager and said she would have it fixed. Two days later we told Justin, who came to look at the AC. The sink remained full of water the entire stay, no one came to fix. There was a note on the fridge not to put the AC below 72. The temperature upstairs went up to 78 and we were in the 80's outside. We called the manager on this as the thermostats were locked down and would not allow us to set below 72. Justin did come over promptly and saw it was 78 in the house and reprogrammed the thermostat. They had the AC people come the next day and said the filters were filthy and needed changing. No one came back to change filters. When Justin came over to unlock the thermostat we told him that the doors from two different bedrooms would not open to the outside balcony. He said they had quotes but it was really expensive to repair. The amount of junk in the kitchen was shocking. The pots and pans were nasty and everything in crammed in cabinets with things that don't even work. There's old Cuisinart parts shoved in a cabinet along with wall hanging phones. Another drawer is loaded with old salad dressing packets and sauces. There's 12 forks total in the kitchen for a house tha sleeps 16. There's a full mattress that looks like it was bent in half and the 4 full size beds have one pillow each.

Fantastic location

This home was perfect for our family vacation. We had four generations under one roof and everyone enjoyed their stay. The elevator (and its fin surprise inside) was very helpful for family with mobility problems. The beach chairs, bikes and ping pong table were put to good use by many.

Family at Beach

First time to Fripp Island. Calypso was a perfect house for our family. The living room and kitchen overlook the ocean with a patio with panoramic ocean view. House is perfectly appointed. Kitchen has everything you need including spices. Truly felt I was staying as a guest in someone's home rather than renting a house. Owners respond promptly.to questions and went out.of their way to ensure we had a great week. Can recommend without hesitation Calypso to anyone considering Fripp Island

We’ve rented several homes on Fripp over the years and Calypso is by far the best. The floor plan is perfect. It is the cleanest home we’ve stayed in. The owners add lots of special touches. The views are amazing. You will not want to leave.

Wonderful vacation house!!

I can’t say enough about this house and the personal interest from the owners in making sure one’s stay is great. I have rented a few vacation homes and never have I ever had the owners call me to welcome me and give me information about the house and area. Not have I ever had an owner give my children a care package and me a tote bag just for vacationing at their home. The location of the house (right on the beach) and the island itself is exactly where one needs to be.

Paradise on Fripp

The only problem is I didn't want to leave!! From the moment you walk in, you can tell the owners have dedicated a lot of time and effort to make this home special. It has everything you'll need for a perfect vacation. The layout is perfect with 4 bedrooms downstairs along with a "hang out space" for kids (a must have!). And 2 bedrooms upstairs along with kitchen, living space and dining area...all spacious and super functional. The porches are fabulous. And the sun deck was amazing...I started the day on the sun deck with a cup of coffee and then ended it with a cocktail at sunset...there's no way to describe the unbelievable views..magical! The kitchen has everything you'll need and the location on the island is perfect! Easy access to the beach and super close to the beach club. 3 golf carts to rent is a huge plus and SO convenient. I've always rented through the Marina and those carts are gas (vs electric) and super slow. Plenty of beach chairs, 2 wagons to haul your stuff to the beach, boogie boards, bikes..all available. We loved the ping pong table as well! The Millers are top notch!! They communicated before, during and after our trip and were SO easy to work with. Can't say enough wonderful things about this sweet couple. Already planning our next trip to Calypso...by far one of the best homes on Fripp!!

Annual family and friends vacation

Calypso was Fabulous! Such a warm welcome with cookies, fresh flowers, and special note welcoming our family. The Calypso Beach Bag was such a surprise. Love it!! The entire house was spotless and well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals for a large group.Our family loved being able to gather everyone the large dining table for meals and the rights to claim Trivia Champion. The porches on each provided a wonderful beachfront views. We gathered every morning for coffee and evening for cocktails. The game room provided late night challenges in foosball and trivia. All beds were so comfortable and bedrooms were roomy. We have found our Fripp vacation home !

Family reunion at Calypso July 2018

We hosted a family reunion at the stunning Calypso. This property was beyond anything we could have expected. Top notch property, home and amenities. No detail was missed, Everyone was so impressed with decor, the “extras” that were provided and the owners sincere interest in our satisfaction. The location right on the beach, bikes, golf carts and beach toys were an add blast. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for an exceptional vacation location. Calypso will leave you wanting for nothing

During our stay, we found the Calypso beach house to be simply amazing and I believe you will too. From the minute you arrive you will be met with the special touches that separate it from the others. My family enjoyed our time there whether it was the short walk to the ocean or sitting on one of the balconies overlooking the beach. You will love the open floor plan that allows everyone to be together. The kitchen has top of the line appliances and there is a view from every room. We have stayed at many different beach homes over the years but the attention to detail found here goes far beyond what is seen in the traditional beach house. During our time at Calypso, we enjoyed a stunning home that sits on a beautiful beach and the owners treated us like family.

Our third year in paradise

This summer was our third year at Calypso. It just keeps getting better and better! The location is the best on Fripp, the view toward the ocean is spectacular, the owners treat you like you're old friends, and the house is out of this world! It's a perfect house for a large family get-together or family or friends reunion. There's so much room that everyone can eat and be together or separate to watch different tv shows or movies or have quiet conversations. Everything you need or want is there -- & lots you didn't even know you needed or wanted. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated -- far beyond what you would expect in a house at the beach. The owners are so generous to share Calypso & everything in it with renters! They offer so much -- two floors of bedrooms & baths, the main floor with an open floor plan which includes a long dining table, a relaxing living space, a full kitchen with two dishwashers (we had no idea how great that would be!), and a bar area with a small refrigerator & ice maker. The house is child-friendly with a baby gate at the top of the stairs to the downstairs bedrooms & living space, a crib, and booster seats. The fact that the house is located next to a beach access & just a short walk to the wide beach is perfect for coming and going to the beach with toddlers or older adults. The elevator is a great help in unloading/loading suitcases, groceries, and beach goers who have trouble with stairs. There are two showers on the ground level, a ping pong table, bikes, lots of beach chairs and beach toys we put to good use. We also loved the fun & convenience of the golf carts the owners have available to rent. Calypso is next to the Beach Club with its pools & activities like kids camp, team trivia, karaoke. Tennis courts are right across from the Beach Club. It truly is paradise! We can't wait to go back for another week next year!!!

The Time of Our Lives

My family and I just experienced 10 days of absolute bliss on Fripp Island for our daughter's wedding. The Calypso was the perfect accommodation for family and friends, with spacious rooms, sweeping views of the beach, and a well appointed kitchen for hosting pre-wedding cocktail parties, and Sunday brunch. The owners had thought of everything, the house is laid out with common areas for gathering, quiet spaces on the 3 leveled decks for coffee in the morning or late afternoon naps, and absolutely beautiful bedrooms with private baths.The two bar areas on separate floors offered a space for lively conversations, or quiet intimate chats. The Calypso enhanced our experience and served to create life long memories! We are already planning a return next spring!

Two families, one phenomenal beach house!

My family and one other family (total of 12) stayed here for a week and had an absolute blast. The views were amazing. Plenty of room for everyone. The owners have spared no expense in making sure everyone has a great time in their beachfront home. The location of this home is the best on the island, right beside the only beach access with no stairs on the island. Kids can walk or ride bikes to the pool or to get ice cream. Tennis courts are right across the street. The bikes the owners allow you to use are great, and they keep them in perfect condition. The golf carts can be rented and are perfect for roaming the island. No detail is missing. This is the perfect location for a great beach vacation. Thanks Phil and Laura! Perfect in Every Way!

The owners have put their heart and soul into this incredible beach house, and they genuinely take great pleasure in sharing this second home with guests. Calypso is such a happy and inspiring place, decorated beautifully with vibrant colors, wonderful artwork, and luxurious details. This beach house was designed to create lasting family memories, peace, laughter, and a pampering escape from the stress of day to day life. My extended family rents a beach house each summer for our annual reunion. We have stayed at numerous locations on the Gulf of Mexico and on the Atlantic coast of the Carolinas. It is always a challenge to find just the right house...a house that will please and accommodate children, teenagers, parents and grandparents. This year it was especially challenging because we needed to find a house that was handicapped accessible (elevator), oceanfront, had easy beach access for my father who is elderly and in a wheelchair, and a house that had at least 6 bedrooms. I "hit the jackpot" when I contacted the owners and decided to rent their home! To be honest, Calypso sounded too good to be true... The owners met us at the beach house when we arrived to give us a personal tour of their home and to show us how to operate all of the appliances, stereo/TV systems, elevator, golf carts etc. They also wanted to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction and that my father was going to be able to enjoy the house as well. This home is absolutely spotless and even better than we had imagined. Most owners do NOT decorate their homes so thoughtfully, using "top of the line" decor and materials. Calypso is the exception. Our family played games, loved cooking every meal in the oceanfront kitchen and on the oceanfront grill, slept soundly, gathered for evening movies, walked the beaches and crashed the waves, and truly enjoyed each other. We have booked Calypso for the same time next year. This was the BEST family reunion my family has ever had. We feel like we spent a week in paradise! I just spent 3 incredible days at Calypso. It's a magnificent home and the decor is fantastic. The beach is only a short walk away. It's clean and was not over populated. Everyone we met was very friendly, even the deer that roam free. They came right into the our backyard while we were were out there. Truly an amazing place. This was a mothers day excursion for my sis, elderly mom and I. Mom was able to enjoy the beach from the rocking chairs inside the home and the balcony. We did not explore the island due to our time limit sadly. We did eat at Gilligan's in Beaufort on our way home Sunday. It was great! Thanks to the property owners for a beautiful weekend!
