Little getaway

This was our first time here and it was a great experience. It's a cute little spot for me and my kids. The host was very helpful and we would definitely come back

The property felt isolated. The curtains were sheer and did not cover the windows completely. There were limited amenities. The hot tub seemed to be in disrepair.

Had a wonderful time at this cute little cabin. Very close to the village. Had reserved parking ,ac for warm days and heater for cold nights. The price was right on par with what you’d expect. I would definitely stay here again.

Stressful

After I was not able to get access to the property I initially booked and the host did not respond to my message and two phone calls in a timely manner, I spent an hour on the phone with a Vrbo customer service representative to find a solution. The representative offered to reimburse for me the stay at this property and covered the cost for one night at a different location. I paid for another night myself since I planned to stay for two nights. The Blue Horizon Lodge was nice. However, construction workers were throwing wooden planks, were drilling and hammering, yelling at each other, and listening to loud music right next to my cabin as they were working on the cabin next to me. This was extremely disturbing. I had a schedule full of patients I had to speak with over the phone that day. The workers were busy and loud from approximately 11 AM to 4:30 PM. I ended up not staying for a second night because I had it at that time.

This little cabin has the potential to be very charming however, there were several issues that made our stay less than comfortable. We arrived to find the bathroom faucet broken in half, which I reported immediately and was told someone could come by in the morning to fix it. I confirmed that would be fine, just to let me know what time…I never heard back. We were not provided enough wash cloths for our party, nor were we given bedding for the futon in the living room. I requested those and also never got a response. There was no soap in the bathroom nor a hand towel or bath mat. There was dish soap in the kitchen but no sponge or dish rag to wash your dishes. We had ants in the refrigerator the entire time we were there. The bed was uncomfortable, the fitted sheet wouldn’t stay on the mattress, the mattress pad was stained and the blanket they provided was dirty. There were other things that needed some attention but the above were the big ones for me. We ended up leaving a day early…it was that uncomfortable. I reached out to the host after we left to share my concerns…it has been over 48 hours and…No reply.
