Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located in a quiet alpine setting, Timber Have Lodge is located in Big Bear Lake, Ca. The rustically inspired log cottage suites have been the ideal family getaway for decades! (See trip advisor reviews)

(#1) Is a boutique cabin, features an indoor hot tub, stone fireplace, kitchen, living room, flat screen TV with Roku, heating and AC. The bedroom has a King and living room has a queen sofa. Perfect Cabin for 2 people!
Pet Policy:
We do allow pets at an additional $100 fee. We are animal lovers ourself and absolutely adore pets, especially dogs. But sadly some guests are allergic to animal hair and it can have disastrous consequences. Our cleaners need the resources to ensure a clean, tidy property!

YOU MUST CARRY CHAINS IN YOUR VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES DURING WINTER!

The Following are recommendations in dealing with snow and ice conditions during your stay:
1. Carry a sturdy shovel and cat litter - or gravel - should you need to dig out of a berm or create additional traction on icy roads.
2. When driving during or shortly after a storm, expect delays. Plan on leaving extra early to manage heavy/slow traffic.
3. Check road conditions before you drive and choose the route with the most favorable conditions.
4. Make sure your tires have good tread and are properly inflated.
5. Carry emergency supplies including: food, water, warm clothing, blankets, medication and a cell phone in case you become stranded.

We had a really nice time here and would come back. Kind of wish the spa was functioning, but thats being too picking of me. Overall, great place to stay

Great location

This cabin is a little rustic but comfortable. Everything worked well. The location is nice and close to town but away from the busy traffic streets. Could use a few more kitchen items if you’re going to do any cooking. Definitely a great value.

We enjoyed our stay in your cozy little cabin, you provided everything we needed to have a wonderful experience for my husbands 60th birthday. The only problem we encountered was when we went out side, and tried to come back into the house using the key pad, it would not let us in (it was very cold out) you have to use force to get in the door, which caused damage. We the following morning went to the local hardware store and bought the tools and supplies we needed to repair it the best we could, we could see around the door frame, this wasn’t the first time, at least 6-7xs before us staying here this has happened to other people. We did our best to fix what we damaged. Also the night stand on the outside wall in the bedroom, only has 3 legs, my husband set his phone on it when we went to bed, and it fell over with only a phone on it. Other than that we had a great time, we really loved the hot tub, thank you very much for your hospitality.

Excellent Cabin

The cabin was just like it was in the pictures. It was super easy to check into. we couldn’t work the fireplace but the heater worked just as good. The floors were a little bit dirty where we first got in. It was overall really nice and small. Definitely will stay here again!

The actual room was not as described during booking, the amenities weren't available and were not disclosed during the booking process. On top of that they have a near impossible refund policy. All you have to go off of is pictures and once you are there only just find out how poor the place actually is and by then it's too late for a refund. Didn't even spend one night there and there's nothing to be done.

Great stay

I went with my girlfriend for the weekend and it is not what it looks like in pictures, looks so much better when you’re actually there, the room was cozy and we had a great time there I did notice the nightstand was missing a leg and the hittin wall had a crack so I took pictures before we settled in. Other than that, the property was great and the stay was great, would come back again

Don't let the small size of this property fool you - it packs a big punch when it comes to coziness! But, be warned, it's missing a few essentials like hand soap, extra towels, and body wash. Maybe pack your own for a more comfortable stay.

Thnk you for keeping this place affordably available! It was an amazing yoga retreat time for Inna and good weekends for Henry :) We've been coming to this property for over a decade and are really grateful for keeping it up! Nice and simple basics.... OM AH HUM :)

Good but small problem

By small problem I mean that I saw a mouse inside the property and it was pretty disturbing… we were able to get the mouse out but just caught us by surprise. Besides that everything was perfect.

Fantastic place to stay for the Spartan Races.

Our stay here was a great one and perfectly sized for two people to stay in. The bed was cozy, the kitchen had the perfect number of appliances to work with, and the place was just comfortable to come back and chill in after a long day. The Hot Tub inside the cabin was perfect when I needed to unwind after the races. Wifi was great and easy to get onto without issue. The host was communicative and clear about the expectations when using the property. All of the amenities we used worked without issue. The location is perfect, just being far enough to avoid a lot of the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas while still being close enough for a short quick drive. Definitely a place we would stay at again.

Great location, poor upkeep

Could be a great review if owners took care of.Here’s the issues-- No coffee maker which was in the pic on web.- No pots or pans, couldn’t boil water if we wanted to.- Fireplace not working.- Ceiling fan not working, missing pull chain.- Very little bedding, blanket under bedspread wasn’t even right size. *None of the above items were made aware to us before our stay.- Bed frame fell apart, after lifting mattress found that it had missing hardware holding it together. Not safe!Luckily my wife and I are adaptable, other wise this would’ve been a complete disaster of a stay. Even though we would love to stay at this place again, we will not due to the lack of maintenance/care of the cabin. Thank you

Do NOT book here!! We are very disappointed with our stay and My wife and I came here for our honeymoon with the intention to getaway to Big Bear, a place we have loved to visit many times. Unfortunately, from the moment we got out the car we were met with a less than pleasant experience, we were told to park in stall one, but had to maneuver around a few large trash bags. In addition to the trash outside, the heater didn’t work, there’s little privacy with few window coverings(people can see through the windows of the kitchen from the Main Street), we thought there was a grill because of the description and pictures (but there wasn’t one and we bought meat from the bottom of the mountain), and as we were going to bed we found that the bed is broken and there were cigarettes under the bed. We have had to re-build the bed five times(in fact it broke again just as I was typing out a message to complain to Vrbo). The broken rods under the bed make the mattress uneven and uncomfortable so much my wife had back pain in the morning. You won’t be able to get a refund because you won’t see the problems till you arrive(past the cancellation period). We reached out multiple times to the host, but as soon as we complained about the conditions they stopped responding. Only responded with the check out instructions. We secured lodgings elsewhere after one night because we couldn’t bear to stay a moment longer. I will include photos for your giggles.
No curtains on the windows!? Yep people on the street could see right through into the kitchen and living room. The bath towel is our attempt to have a little privacy

Stained and dirty pillowcases in the bedroom. We contacted the host and provided evidence photos, but the issue with dirty bedding have not been resolved during our stay. Extremely loud air conditioner.

Non responsive host

You get what you pay for. There are no forks, papertowels, or any pots just pans. The jacuzzi looks as though it needs refurbishing( a couple nails sticking out causing a hazard) and a good cleaning. The main problem is the host. Not very responsive nor helpful. The day we arrived there was no snow in the parking lot and over the course of a day it had filled approximately 2 feet tall through out and covered my car I was expecting the owner to plow his parking lot but he told us to pay for it ourselves. It took me 4 hours to dig it out by hand I also had to purchase a snow shovel as there are none on the property. The kitchen setup is not the best they have a refrigerator covering a second door a table that doesn’t have enough space for two people to sit and the light was a dim yellow light that didn’t not cover the table or the stove.

Disappointed

The check in and check out process was very easy and the cabin was clean. The Jacuzzi tub was lovely, but unfortunately it was essential because the heater did not work. I woke up the first day with the cabin still at 51 degrees, and the next morning it was 49 degrees. Luckily I had the tub to warm me up before I went to bed. Thankfully I brought an extra blanket because I needed it. There is a gas fireplace but no instructions for turning it on and I've never dealt with a gas fireplace so that wasn't any help either. The soap dispenser in the shower wasn't working so I went out any bought some hand soap, and there was coffee and filters provided but no coffee maker. Those are minor inconveniences but still added to the poor experience. I would not recommend this cabin in the Fall or Winter months.

Mi punto de opinión

Es que en la cabaña que yo renté por 3 dias y dos noches la bañera no botaba agua caliente y el clima caliente no servía pero dentro de lo que cabe es una estancia muy satisfactoria es una experiencia muy bonita recomiendo que le den mantenimiento a sus tinas de hidromassje ya que no tienen funcionamiento y en cuanto el agua caliente solo la de bañarse es la que funciona de ahí en más todo perfecto muchas gracias sin duda volvería a rentarlo en mi proxima escapada.
