Spacious garage apartment with views of Pisgah Mountain and Blue Ridge Mountains

Recommend 4 wheel drive or AWD vehicle to climb steep 1/8 mi gravel driveway with switch back half way up.

Secluded property at 3200 ft elevation. Located 10 miles from Caesar’s Head and 10 miles Brevard. Close to many hiking trails, waterfalls and shopping excursions. A great place for hikers, mountain bikers.

Every day brings a different and beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC to the North. Come rain, shine, sleet or snow, it is heaven on "Bow Mountain". Lots of good hiking choices. Close by: Reece Place Falls. It's only 3/4 mile from the cabin as the crow flies (2.5 miles by car down East Fork plus the mile hike). A really beautiful fall with low traffic.

Our stay was perfect. This rental property is truly special and provided the break from the city that I truly needed. One of the best things is the location, you are less than an hour away from so many wonderful hikes. 10/10 hope to stay again.

Beautiful property/visit

As advertised, the property was wonderfully secluded, clean and very comfortable, with all the comforts of home. My only issue was the difficulty in finding it the first night. Google took us an hour out of our way and East Fork Road is not marked off of 276. A landmark for where to turn would help enormously.

Comfortable cabin, beautiful view!A great base from which to explore Brevard. Print out the directions before you go and if possible, get there in daylight. Host was especially gracious in all communications.

We stayed in this lovely garage apartment. The hosts were wonderful and the place is perfect for a solo traveler or couple. Everything as advertised. (Does require a 4wd or AWD vehicle.)

The host was wonderful. This is a beautiful property on top of a mountain. Make sure you have 4-wheel or AWD drive to get to this location.

Fall Splendor in the Mountains

Another absolutely amazing stay in this off the beaten path perfect property. The views are stunning. Hosts are amazing. As with other posts, having a vehicle that can climb steep incline is desirable. Well worth checking this property out!

Awesome views!

We loved staying at this location. It’s perfect for a weekend getaway or just to spend some time with your significant other. I do wish there was more exterior lighting. There is a cozy little porch, however, after dark it’s hard to access due to it being so dark. And the driveway is super steep but the owner checked with us to make sure we have 4W drive which was a great courtesy because you’ll definitely need it. We’re already planning our next trip and hope to stay here again!!

Perfect mountain retreat....

Clean and perfectly appointed, from comfy beds, nice linens, beautiful furnishings, nicely decorated, all kitchen essentials provided, even plastic bags. Perfect location to pivot to DuPont Forest area, close to Brevard town, but far enough to still feel private in the mountains. Claudia is extremely responsive and prompt in her communication. As previous luxury VRBO owners in Colorado mountain towns, we were so impressed with what she has done with this property we just had to meet her and spend a few minutes chatting with her. She is an absolute pleasure, so much so, that we are adding another few days on to our trip to visit her place again in couple weeks. Can't recommend this place enough!! Thx so much Claudia

My Second Fantastic Stay

Claudia is a wonderful host and the property is amazing. Read about the steep driveway, but again, very well maintained crushed gravel drive. Well worth the views, the solitude and the perfect space for two. I will be back again! My sister is even planning to book for she and her husband!

Most Amazing Property/Quiet Time

This cozy space is perfect for a couple looking for amazing views of Mt Pisgah and surrounding mountains. If privacy and solitude are wghat you're after, this is it. I loved it so much I booked a second week immediately after arriving for my first! Note: The driveway is steep and narrow as described. However, it is very well maintained crushed gravel road. So it's more about just being steep and taking your time than thinking you have a poor road to traverse. Absolutely not the case. Immaculate property with awesome host! I also booked a third week in December as a result. 5 Stars!

Peaceful

The apartment is lovely, the views stunning, the quiet magical. After some bumps with checking in which the owners were on top of, the only issue that arose was after a torrential downpour. My rented AWD RAV 4 was not able to make it up the driveway. This meant parking at the bottom and walking up. It is a long very steep drive but I am a hiker so that wasn't an issue for me but were I to have any mobility issues at all it would have been a game-changer. I would recommend only renting a 4 wheel drive vehicle for this rental.

Very private and natural place

It's pretty remote, high on a hill. The windows overlook only trees as the host's home is the other way (and a few hundred feet). You will spend 5-6 minutes on the dirt and stone roads coming in, once on the main road, downtown Brevard is about 12 minutes. It's nothing real fancy, but has a comfy bed and more than adequate kitchen and bath. Internet is downright fast and we streamed Netflix 4k no problem. Claudia is a gem! We had an issue with our car and she immediately helped us out. Likely to stay again.

Spotless, beautiful, and comfortable apartment with amazing view!

We greatly enjoyed the apartment and the mountain surroundings, cooked all our meals and slept well. Our AWD vehicle had no problems with the driveway. Thanks so much to the hosts for sharing their wonderful place with us!

Mountain High Retreat

The garage apartment has unobstructed views of the mountains. We wanted for nothing! The owners have built a gorgeous well cared for retreat/compound. We loved it!
