House was centrally located for what we had planned for the evening. Easily Ubered to downtown. House was large enough to fit us all with large spacious rooms. Communication with Nick was great.

The stay was good, easy access to parks/beaches. Two of the beds were not stable to sleep on. Entry lock was not working. Host responses were not complete and in fact did not solve the issue of the entry lock.

Check-in was rough, the cooler was off and the upstairs was 90 degrees. Messaged the host, Nick, who told us where the thermostat was, but it was locked. He must have unlocked it remotely, but I’m assuming because he never answered. We left for dinner so it could have time to cool down but couldn’t get in upon returning because the batteries to the front door were dead. Host let us know there was a lock box with keys to another door. We had to figure out how to get the cover off to stop the constant beeping, and we never heard from the host again. The rest of the stay was fine. Plenty of room, clean. Though one of the showers only has hot water. The stairs inside are very shallow, so we had to be careful not to fall down them. There are another set of safer stairs on the other side of the home.

The property has a lot of potential and our family had a good time. But we had a difficult time with the lock and it wasn't fully clean. The beds and common areas were great for our family. There was easy access to downtown.

Wedding

The property looks exactly like the pictures! It was nice and We do recommend! We had a couple of issues and Nick handled them quickly and efficiently! He was so easy to work with! As you get older you are not use to changes., he even answered our silly questions so quickly! The house is close to everything! Beach, zoo, downtown and even my daughters wedding and house! Thank you Nick!

Very Poor Experience, do not recommend.

I’m not sure how this property has good reviews. I tried to write out everything that was a problem during our weekend there but did not have enough space to type it all. So I’ll summarize: Garbage cans in the driveway were overflowing with old garbage and had flies buzzing all around. It was apparent as soon as we walked in how filthy the floors were. It seemed like months worth of grime. We had a baby that needed to be put on the floor and so we cleaned it ourselves after the host ignored our complaint. We bought a swiffer (no cleaning supplies) and went through 23 ULTRA swiffer pads just on the downstairs. Disgusting.The outdoor enclosed porch with old rusty chairs was equally filthy and had garbage on the ground and in the garbage can. The thermostat to heat the entire downstairs was broken. It was a cold weekend with nights in the 40s. This made the house feel even more miserable as we all had to try to keep warm. The host sent someone out to fix it but that wasn’t until late afternoon on the second day and he wasn’t able to fix it. No other attempts were made. This is a house for 15 people but there is only silverware for about 4. The tv in the family room was broken. The bathroom door was broken off a hinge. There are no games- they’re all broken and missing pieces. The only thing positive I can say is that the bedrooms seemed clean. If we hadn’t spent so much money we would’ve left. The host has refused to offer any sort of compensation. Take heed.

Not what it looks like

The house wasn't as it appeared in the picture. The outside garbage was full and we couldn’t put any garbage in the them, there was no hand soap, bed linen was still in the washer and dryer, some blinds were broken. The stairs were unsafe and I had some elderly adults and small children in the house.

Nice place. Right off the interstate.

Enjoyed our stay.Only complaint, really, was that one of the bunk bedrooms only exit was through the master bedroom. Not a big deal.Home is old, it well kept.

My stay at here was absolutely great. The house was clean and spacious enough space for everyone. Nick was responsive and helpful. I had a great time and would definitely stay again!

Clean, convenient, and complaint-free

A group of coworkers met here for a conference. It was an easy location to get to, plenty of parking, place was clean. It was much better than all of us staying at a hotel. We convened around the dining room table, but all had our own private space too, as the house is huge. Thanks for allowing us to stay here.

Everything was great, no problem checking in, a lot closer to downtown that expected, but that was a plus since we were there for the game on Sunday. Very clean house.

Nice kitchen, but...

Convenient to Cleveland and the tourist stuff. Easy access to the freeways and major roads. Communication with host was quick for the most part. As others have mentioned, the stairs are difficult to manage, for even able-bodied folks. One set is really steep and narrow and step rise was inconsistent. The back stairs are wider, but have an odd turn at the top where the rise is much higher than the rest of the steps. Being from the Cleveland area and in town for a funeral we needed a large space equipped for multiple generations and sleep 6 comfortably. We understood this was an older house and knew it was going to have vintage charm. What we got was a “not ready for prime-time” rental. If you’re looking for a rental to stay cool during 80+ degree days in Cleveland, this is NOT it. AC is iffy at best. Even though the nights were in the 60’s the humidity was so high it was uncomfortable to sleep. We bought box fans to help giving them to family when we left. . There is NO storage in the bedrooms. Not a single dresser or "the like" to unpack our folded clothes. BYOH. Bring Your Own Hangers. The bedrooms that HAD a closet didn’t have but a couple of hangers. And the largest bedroom had a closet without a rod, so hangers were a moot point. At the end of the stay I was asked “if we could both give each others 5 stars.” I know we treated the house well and didn’t appreciate the “quid pro quo” feel to the ask.

Just Okay

The pros: large home with ample space, oversized table for a family dinner, lots of seating for movie night, board games, kitchen had basics needed, driveway fits multiple cars. The cons: the bath tubs were not the level of clean I would expect, it looked like cleaner was just applied and rinsed with no scrubbing, and there was used bar soap left behind. The front stairs are very steep and and shallow in depth (as in your whole foot doesn't, fit unless you come down sideways. The back steps are less steep and are deep - however the top two steps are tall making for a big step up or a long step down. This was fine for those younger family members but challenging for a senior citizen and for a family member with bad knees.
