ATV/Snowmobile trails are close, fishing at Lake Dexter and homemade ice cream in Pittsville, which is the exact center of Wisconsin.

This was a relaxing trip. Clean house, wood for fire pit, all cooking utensils and seasonings furnished, relaxing river where the kids fished. I would stay again and recommend for anyone that wants a relaxing retreat.

This house had it all! So many thoughtful amenities! Kitchen was well stocked, with mugs, glasses, cookware, and bowls! Pantry space is amazing, and equipped with every small appliance you may need.

Relaxing time by the river

Very welcoming- we enjoyed our coffee on the deck and having the fire pit prepared for a great time right by the river. Lots of space and lots of laughs playing foosball in the game room.Wonderful time thank you.

Comfy house with nice amenities

We really enjoyed our stay at the river house! The house had everything we needed for our stay to be comfortable. We especially loved the fire pit in the backyard for s’mores and the bumper pool in the basement.

The Perfect getaway that everyone needs!

Beautifully decorated home with all the amenities for a relaxing stay. The kitchen was well stocked with everything to prepare home cooked meals. Games, outdoor activities and many places to just relax and enjoy family time. Great pet-friendly amenities too from pet bowls to treats. We all felt welcome and relaxed. Great little escape!

Love this property- such a nice spot to get away! It's on the river and has a huge backyard. We had a group of friends hanging out for the weekend and it was perfect. We grilled, played yard games, and enjoyed our time by the river! Would absolutely recommend!

Perfect Little Getaway

Our family really enjoyed our stay over Labor Day Weekend. We were looking for a quiet low key getaway and that’s exactly what we found. Perfect spot on the river and shallow enough for the kids to play in. Large yard for outdoor activities. Inside was clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

The home is just north of Dexterville and just south of Pittsville, so close enough to get any last-minute necessities. If you want a "bigger" town, you can get to Marshfield or Wisconsin Rapids in about 30 minutes. The host was responsive and friendly. The house was clean, well-equipped, and perfectly located for what we needed. The living room was comfy and cozy, and the den with the gas fireplace was perfect for football and napping. It was a little chilly so we didn't take full advantage of the river, but we did see Benny the bald eagle and make some smores!You could cook or grill out or roast hot dogs over the campfire, but if you want to go to town, we HIGHLY recommend Paulie's (try the carnivore skillet and homemade toast) and Cranberry Creamery (if they are open for the season). And keep a lookout for the white deer!!

Family fun!

Our family had such a fantastic time here! Started with an early check-in, the house was clean, recently remodeled, and well equipped. There is plenty of room for the whole family. There is a big yard for kids and dogs to run around, with multiple seating areas both inside and out. The house is just minutes from Pittsville and Lake Dexter, but still has great country feel.

The host was very attentive at checking in. The home and property was absolutely beautiful and immaculate. I was awestruck by their attention to detail to ensuring you wouldn't miss a thing while you were away from home with anything you could think of needing.

Peaceful retreat

Peaceful location despite being just off the highway. Enjoyed walking in the river. Loved the ice cream from the local ice cream shop. Enjoyed Friday fish fry recommended by the owner. My husband took many pictures of the local bald eagle. Loved the campfires each night. A nice place for our annual family weekend.

lovely house on a river

We had a great vacation in this lovely house right on the river! The house is comfortable, clean, and very well-stocked. They had everything we needed for our baby, toys and activities for our toddlers, and lots of games for the older children as well. The fire pit overlooking the lake was also a favorite. The house and grounds were even better than the photos. Thank you!
