Unwind and relax at our TOP FLOOR peaceful mountain-top retreat with loft where the views are phenomenal from every room & wildlife sightings aren't unusual.

Unique layout of this condo makes it comfortable and fun for families & a great place to make memories.

One private bedroom and an upstairs loft serving as second sleeping area - easily accommodates 4 guests. Guests with very young children can use sleeper sofa in living room instead of loft. Keep in mind this is not as comfortable as regular bed but will be safer for toddlers.

Smoky Mountain National Park is only a few minutes away. Lots of outdoor activities nearby such as rafting, ziplining, winter sports, horseback riding etc. Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge offer numerous activities, events, unbelievable shopping, & of course, Dollywood!

Great stay, great location

The property and view is incredible. Inside had some cobwebs but beds were comfy and view was amazing. Nice inside as well!

Condo was well kept and nice accommodations. Laundry is coin operated only. Kitchen utensils were minimal but usable. The drive up the mountain and the view from the deck was gorgeous. The owner is very responsive and helpful with messages sent to her.

Unit is nice and very cozy! Great view from the balcony.

Stay was great. I did email owner with question the day before stay began and never received a response but turned out to nonissue. Would definitely stay there again.

Best mountain top view ever

Cozy top floor, edge of property condo with view of valley. 1bedroom loft that is well appointed. Takes 15 minutes to drive up a narrow mountain road to property from city center but worth the drive for the tranquility away from busy downtown. I’d come back

Wonderful Mountain Views!

My girls and I had a wonderful time in this amazing mountain top condo. Great location for hiking in the Smokies then enjoying a night in Gatlinburg. We were blessed by a gorgeous sunrise the second morning. Would recommend to anyone.

The condo was clean and thoughtfully equipped. I would recommend a full length mirror in the downstairs bedroom. Very difficult to decide what outfit when you can’t see it on yourself.

We saw bears

We wanted to see fall colors and bears. Too early for colors, but saw a momma and a couple cubs in the parking lot! The location is up the mountain. Be sure to follow your GPS.

Overall the lodging was first class from the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, to the wonderful and fresh and clean living quarters, it more then met my expectation of the chalets, we just had a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing your property with us 😊

Spectacular views of the mountains

I loved the Spectacular views. Of the mountains, everyday, I set out there on that little deck. The place was very nice. I will definitely be back. I hope to come back in the fall sometime and see all the trees. When they change their leaves, I was so excited, I got to see five bears and two cubs

Perfect Getaway!

My family stayed at Mama Bear's Penthouse over New Year's Eve/Day and rang in the new year here. The condo is just as described, clean, and the kitchen appeared to have everything needed, though we didn't cook while here. There was plenty of comfortable seating for 4 adults: Mom, Dad, 2 college kids. The view from the condo is amazing, and you can see the Ober Gatlinburg ski area to the right when entering the door. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the fall. The property is very nicely kept. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely amazing!!!

I could not have asked for a better place to stay!!! Perfect size condo for a family of 4. The description says there are really nice views... THEY HAVE AMAZING VIEWS!!! It is located at the top of the mountain!! We will be staying here again, 100%! Do not hesitate, rent this ASAP!! The owner was awesome too. She even called to make sure we got in and settled.

Very clean and gorgeous views!

The view was spectacular. I can only imagine what it is like in the fall when the leaves are changing. This was our first VRBO and it surpassed my expectations. Very clean and quiet. Everything you need is at the property and plenty of room for all 4 of us. Communication was awesome with our host. We will be coming back for sure. :)

Short trip

The view was amazing and the host was the best to communicate. The only down side and the host may of not known, I had to empty the dishwaser and the coffeepot was dirty, but i didn't mind taking care of it. The pull out sofa was super dusty when pulled out. But Im sure many dont use it. Overall it was great stay!

Mountain top stay

This unit was very homey and comfortable. The beds were good- we tried both and a TV in each of the sleeping areas. Good WiFi. Plenty of room for 2 couples, couch and 2 recliners. Thoughtful amenities in the kitchen. Good shower head. I have stayed in this complex before so I knew what to expect as far as the drive getting up there but it might be too stressful for some. Owner sent the door code but forgot to include the unit number. They responded quickly.

Enjoyed it all for the most part

The property was fine. There were only a couple things that could’ve been improved upon. Overall it was clean. Just needed a major dusting under things like bar stools and items on the tables. Also it would’ve been helpful to have some sort of binder with information about local restaurants , businesses and the nearby Great Smoky National Park. When we stay places we look forward to reading recommendations from the locals. Other than those few items the place was as advertised. It is truly UP a windy curvy road, so when your day is done you should plan on staying there. The drive is a bit of a challenge when it’s dark But we did see a family of 4 bears crossing the street and heading up a driveway! That was a perk of being in the mountains. :)

I'm an Army Brat born in Fort Hood, Texas with European roots and speak fluent English, French and German. We moved to Florida to escape the harsh Canadian winters but are finding the extreme summer heat unbearable.

In early 2016 we took a self-planned vacation to High Chalet - this exact complex - and we fell in love with the area. We can't retire yet - but we plan to settle down in the Great Smoky Mountains soon - and this is our first step into paradise. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

This hideaway in the mountains is very special - surrounded by majestic mountains and fluffy clouds - wildlife all around. You can hike right from your front door or just to the nearby picnic tables and enjoy the fresh air and nature at its best.
