Lakefront cottage on rustic setting in cove

This is my beautiful home on Lake Oconee. The 0.6 acre wooded lot magnifies the great outdoors surrounding this 2 bedroom, 2 bath retreat from the world. Tucked away in a private cove it features a big water view just right around the point from Sugar Creek Marina. Relax by the fire pit on the hill or take off from your dock to enjoy the great water of Lake Oconee. Canoe available or dock your own boat. Electricity available on the dock. You will be surrounded by nature and woods. Three friendly outdoor neighborhood cats may come to visit. Your own pet is also welcome. The open floor plan has the great room attached to the kitchen filled with new appliances and plenty of cabinet space. Beyond the great room is an outdoor porch with ceiling and open deck overlooking the water. Bathe leisurely in the antique claw foot tub upstairs or choose the downstairs shower. Two bedrooms sleep four and you can climb the ladder to the bonus room to sleep two more. TVs with Roku are ready to watch in the living room and queen bedroom. Fire TV in the full bedroom. Get ready to spend your time on the lake!

The downstairs area is perfect for relaxing and visiting and preparing meals while enjoying beautiful views of the lake and neighboring homes. The home felt welcoming and comfortable with lovely artistic touches.

Stay at Lake Oconee

I host a home using this platfrom. I'm not a big fan of VRBO because i feel it does not provide a good platform to fully give a homes details that guest deserve. Given that im a host, i can be a bit more critical.I appreciated the location on the lake. It is a quiet neighborhood. The cabin has everything you need for a lake stay. The price is appropriate for the home.Cons: I didn't receive check in instructions and had to contact the host for the entrance code. I also could not lock the front door when leaving. But figured it out with help from the host.There are no window coverings on the first floor except for the laundry room, and maybe one other window. I didnt feel comfortable at night sitting in the living room with no window coverings. For the most part, the surrounding houses don't have direct views into the house, and the trees provide some screening. But as a single traveler, I would have felt better having the ability to close curtains/blinds. Additional photos with details would help give a better transparency to what the home offers and does not.

It was wonderful! Cozy, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and peaceful. Great location. Great dock and porch! Stayed outside the entire time. House was stocked with everything and then some. We've stayed at several rentals over the years at Oconee, but this was my absolute favorite- hands down!! Already planning another stay!

The view from the deck is incredible. You can’t beat the scenery with the water and wildlife. The house is clean and well decorated and stocked with everything you need for a stay. Great view of the lake. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Amazing View!

The pictures really don't do it justice. The view from the living room, kitchen, and back porch are amazing. The house is clean and cute. My daughter loved jumping off the dock into the lake. My son loved being able to walk out and fish whenever he wanted. We took the canoe out a couple times which was nice. We actually rented a jet ski as well and were able to drive it right up to the dock. The owners left such a nice little set up with some snacks and coffee supplies. I highly recommend this spot!

Lake Oasis

Myself and my family needed a quick getaway to just relax for a couple days over the memorial weekend, we got far more than what we ever could think. The property was serene, and the house was very nicely designed with quirky details and very comfortable and more importantly, very clean. Karen's home was spacious for two bedroom two bath very roomy and my grandkids who are two and three enjoyed the playroom. My husband truly enjoyed the dock in which he caught seven catfish, even though it rained most of the time we are up there with the covered patio. We were still able to enjoy being outside and relaxing. Also, we so appreciate the fact that she allows dogs because we love our four-legged family members and travel with them frequently. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Better than expected

Pictures don’t do it justice. Well stocked with essentials, spotless, convenient & property manager was super responsive to questions. Our pets really enjoyed watching the ducks & cranes & appreciated the treats - we humans enjoyed ours too!

This house was absolutely stocked for every family! I can't wait to go back and fish and hopefully stay there again. Super nice neighbors, very quiet place....had plenty of room to park 2 trucks and 2 boats for tournaments . Beautiful home...very clean! The home owner- was very efficient with everything! She made it so easy! And such a wonderful host! This home is beyond a 5 star!
