The Space:

HIGHLIGHTS:

- Chef’s Kitchen: Professional-grade Samsung appliances and a full suite of cookware for family feasts.

- We are dog-friendly, however we only accept hypoallergenic dogs at our standard fee. If you have a non-hypoallergenic dog, we can accommodate for a $300 pet fee to make up for the extra cleaning costs, just shoot us a message on Vrbo!



THE LAYOUT:

- Main Level: Open-concept living with a stone fireplace. The Primary King Suite features a spa-like ensuite with a free-standing soaking tub and double vanity.

- Upper Level: Two designer Queen bedrooms (one West Elm, one Pottery Barn) with a shared full bath.

- Lower Level: The "Kid’s Haven" featuring custom twin bunk beds and our signature King-sized hanging bed. Direct access to the game room and riverfront.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:



“The primary bedroom and ensuite bath were wonderful! The lower-level bedroom has a king-size "swing" bed. I thought this was such a playful yet sophisticated design element for this space. I fell completely in love with it!” - Antoinette



- Bedroom 1 (main level): King-sized West Elm bed with hypoallergenic down pillows and comforters with ensuite bathroom.

- Bedroom 2 (upper level): Queen bed from West Elm with hypoallergenic down pillows and comforters.

- Bedroom 3 (upper level): Queen bed from Pottery Barn with hypoallergenic down pillows and comforters.

- Bedroom 4 (lower level): 2 custom built-in twin bunk beds and a king-hanging bed from Four Oak Bed Swings. All three beds are fitted with down hypoallergenic comforters and pillows. Two wicker cocoon hanging chairs flanking a beautiful 72” Pottery Barn dresser where the 65” smart TV is mounted.



FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Can I park on the street?

A: Please no street parking whatsoever. You must park in the driveway. 5-6 car parking maximum.



Q: What is provided with my accommodations?

A: River Run offers a kitchen with modern amenities, including a coffee maker, toaster, stove and oven, and refrigerator. Cooking and serving items, including plates, bowls, utensils, a can opener, a corkscrew measuring spoons, and more. Regular coffee maker and Keurig machines. We also offer a spice rack, salt, and pepper.



Q: Do you allow pets?

A: We love our furry guests and are happy to welcome them on your stay with a few important notes:



We allow up to two hypoallergenic dogs (under 30lbs each). If your pup is a little over the weight limit but still hypoallergenic, just send us a message on Vrbo, we’re happy to accommodate! If you have a non-hypoallergenic dog, we can accommodate for you but it will be a $300 pet fee as opposed to our standard pet fee to make up for the additional cleaning costs. We also ask that you please send us a quick photo and let us know their breed so we can give the official approval.

Q: Where is the nearest hospital?

A: The nearest hospital is Blue Ridge Medical Center, roughly 21 minutes away.



Q: Can I fish on the Ellijay River?

A: Yes! The Ellijay River is accessible for fishing, all fish are catch-and-release. River Run offers a relaxing experience and has some of the best views! Bring your own fishing pole and tackle, or pick up what you need at the Walmart in Downtown Blue Ridge.



Q: Do you have Wifi?

A: We offer Free high-speed Wifi!



Q: How are the road conditions in the winter?

A: The roads are paved all the way up to the gravel driveway! So you don't need to worry about not being able to have access to the home.



Q: What type of security system do you have in place?

A: We use smart locks that change codes with every guest who stays at our cabin. We also have exterior security cameras on the grounds.



Q: How is the hot tub maintained after every guest?

A: After each guest, we thoroughly clean and refill the hot tub to ensure it's in pristine condition.



Guest Access:

Guests have full, private access to the entire cabin and our 3.5 acres of riverfront grounds. Your stay begins at a charming covered bridge crossing the Ellijay River as you enter our private, gated community.



- Arrival & Parking: Gated Entry: Located in a secure, private HOA. You will receive a gate code and smart lock code prior to arrival.



- Parking: Our spacious gravel driveway comfortably accommodates 5–6 vehicles. Please note that street parking is strictly prohibited by the HOA.



- River Access: You have direct, private access to the riverbank from the backyard. The path is natural terrain, so we recommend bringing outdoor shoes or water shoes for the best experience.



The Neighborhood:

Goose Island Hide Away is a serene, private community known for its natural beauty and quiet atmosphere. You’ll be surrounded by towering trees and the constant, calming soundtrack of the Ellijay River.



Our neighbors are wonderful, long-time residents who value the peaceful nature of the area; we ask that you help us maintain this tranquility by observing quiet hours after 10 PM. The setting is perfect for families seeking a calm, upscale environment to reconnect.



Getting Around:

A vehicle is essential for getting the most out of your North Georgia vacation.



Road Conditions: Great news—the roads leading to the cabin are fully paved all the way to our gravel driveway! You do not need 4WD to reach River Run, making it accessible for all vehicle types year-round.

Other Things to Note:

Free Wifi



After each guest, we thoroughly clean and refill the hot tub to ensure it's in pristine condition for your enjoyment. However, please note that the hot tub will not be immediately heated to your desired temperature upon arrival. It takes some time for the water to heat up to the desired temperature, so we ask that you adjust the temperature as soon as you arrive if you plan on using the hot tub during your stay. The hot tub should never be set above 104 degrees for health reasons.



Your total reservation fee for this home includes a per-booking damage waiver fee, including any applicable taxes. The damage waiver ensures coverage for any accidental damage caused to the home or its contents, including appliances and furnishings, up to a maximum of $20,000. However, to benefit from this coverage, you must report the incident to the host before you check out. The damage waiver serves as a replacement for the conventional security deposit.
