Why rent a room in a stranger's house or stay in someone's loud basement? For the same price, come stay in our fully private, large (760) sq ft. apartment in our beautiful 1920's building. Location is central to ALL Seattle neighborhoods with ease to navigate around the city. South East facing, sun drenched corner apartment with oversized 5'x3' windows throughout. Beautifully restored 100 yr old oak wood floors, Fully furnished, queen size bed, extra Murphy bed folds out into Living Room, work station in living room, HUGE walk in closet, full stainless kitchen with eating nook, full private bath with porcelain soaking tub, free washer & dryer to use on each floor of the building. Super fast WIFI throughout apartment. In the heart of the University District, 1 .5 blocks from the UW campus, 6 blocks from UW Montlake, 5 blocks from Lake Union. Get around the city of Seattle with ease: Just one block from the Seattle Light Rail Station, 3 blocks from I-5, 1 block of all major bus routes. Short term Housing in Seattle is expensive, you want to enjoy your time here and be completely relaxed when you return to your rental at the end of the day without dealing with your 'host' or landlord.

My sister and I stayed here for 3 months (mid-June to early September) and absolutely loved it. The apartment is clean, cozy, and full of character, and it felt like home right away. It had everything we needed for a long stay: a comfortable queen bed plus a Murphy bed in the living room for extra flexibility, huge walk-in closets with plenty of storage, and a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking easy. The WiFi was fast and reliable, which made working from home seamless, and the free shared laundry was never crowded.The location is truly perfect. It’s just two blocks from the Link light rail, which takes you to all the best parts of Seattle downtown in about 15 minutes and directly to the airport in about an hour. Trader Joe’s, Safeway, the university, countless restaurants, Gas Works Park with its stunning city views, the waterfront, and the berry-filled Gilman Trail are all within walking distance. Having an Amazon locker in the building was also very convenient.The neighborhood is lively, with people always around, which added to the energy of the area. Like many urban neighborhoods, it can feel less comfortable walking alone late at night, but the building itself felt very safe, and during the day I always felt comfortable.The host was so friendly, kind, and easy to reach, which made everything even smoother. Overall, this was a wonderful stay: comfortable, convenient, and full of charm. We would happily come back again!

Home away from Home

I can't say enough great things about this space, this property, and the property manager. It is absolutely beautiful here, and has so much character. It is bright and cheerful during the day, and the layout is open and spacious. The room is quiet, the bed is very comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need (dishes, silverware, cookware, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc.), heating and in-unit air conditioner works very well. Bathroom is adorable, and the shower is AMAZING (great water pressure!). Walk-in closet is huge. There is a washer and dryer on every floor of the building, and there is always one available to use. Garbage and recycling are just down the hall. It always feels very safe and secure. Honestly, I just love this space. It has come to feel like a "home away from home," and I'm definitely going to miss it when I leave. What has made this spot so special (aside from the character, and comfort of the space) is the landlord/property manager Maureen. She has been SO welcoming, SO responsive to any questions I have, and goes above and beyond to make me feel welcome and happy here. I wish I lived here! Finally, the location seems to be just perfect. Within walking distance of UW campus, super close to University Ave (main road here), close to a few different grocery stores (H-mart, Trader Joe's, Target, Safeway), and countless amazing local coffee shops and restaurants all within a short walking distance/scooter ride. You will love it here!
