Mill town location by the river w/hot tub

Come enjoy this turn of the century mill house. Set in historic Milltown only 9 miles from downtown Missoula.

Our house is just feet from the footbridge to the state park. Whether you are in town to fish, hunt, or just see Montana, we offer a unique spot for you. Only 10 minutes from downtown Missoula at the confluence of the Blackfoot and the Clark fork our home offers the small town feel with the City amenities.

If you are here for hunting be sure to ask about exclusive access through private lands. If you need a vehicle to rent while you are here, we have several to choose from. Including a Ford Raptor or a Toyota Hylander Hybrid or a Ford Excursion.

If you are in town fishing, take advantage of one of our drift boats or our fly fishing raft. We live close by to make sure all of your vacation needs are met but off the property so you have the privacy of the house to yourself.

Softball trip

We had a group of 14 year old softball girls and a handful of parents staying. We loved the house so much. Lots of room so it never felt too crowded, the kitchen and amenities were amazing. Beds were all clean and comfortable. Loved the hot tub, grill, and fire pit. Larry is an absolutely amazing host. So helpful before and during our trip. Also has great water toys to rent so you can go float the river which was a great final day there. If we are ever in Missoula again, we know where we'll be staying. Thank you again Larry for all of your hospitality. Would rate higher if we could.

We left early and wouldn’t stay again

The cleanliness and location of this property were not up to our standards. When we arrived the hard surface floors were dirty. There were large hair/lint balls, food crumbs, and dirt all over. The kitchen surfaces had not been cleaned well nor had the sink or the handles of the refrigerator. The bathroom toilet had urine on the seat/bowl and the mirror had splatters on it. We spent a while wiping down surfaces, cleaning the toilet and fridge and sweeping the floor. The backyard also had pizza crusts lying around that our dog kept finding. The backyard is basically mowed weeds which it fine but just be aware. When trying to make food we noticed that the stove was splattered and dirty and the microwave had food spills and splatters in it. We didn’t trust the things that were there to clean dishes with so we just bought plastic and paper goods. The highway is about a dozen feet off the backyard and is continuously noise. The train tracks are on the other side of the highway. The trains run day and night and blast their horns multiple times as they cross intersections. It seemed they were passing through about every hour the 2 nights we stayed. If you want quiet this isn’t the house for you. The house gets really hot and the host didn’t tell us until after we left that there’s a portable air conditioner. The only positive is the host is pleasant and prompt. In summary, the house is a ramshackle and dirty and the highway and trains were an unpleasant surprise.

Loved Montana

We were there for my daughter to tour the University. The house was close to everything we needed. Larry was very attentive and helpful with suggestions for any and all activities. Best host ever! Hope to return to see how the renovations progress. We had a great time and the house was clean, pleasant and had everything we needed for our stay.

Very close to ywo beautiful rivers with walking trail

House worked out great for family gathering...great kitchen, very well stocked. Nice fenced in yard if you have pups. Living room was great for relaxing and watching a movie. Easy access to the highway and Missoula.

Fantastic family spot!

Our family had a phenomenal time at this beautiful house! We rented it for our family to be near the University of Montana for my oldest son’s graduation weekend and it was perfect. I was running late on Thursday, our first night, and Larry was kind enough to leave the hot tub running and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge for our arrival. What a great welcome!!! Our family enjoyed the hot tub and grill the most. The space was so much fun! Plus we loved that this home was near Missoula to run errands but far enough away where we could grab peace and quiet when needed. The house is right by the river where we enjoyed several walks and could listen to the crickets in the evening. Also the electric fireplace in the living room was wonderful to have on chilly mornings. At one point we had trouble with the wifi and Larry was kind to stop by and fix it for us plus see if there was anything else we needed. Larry and his family are fantastic hosts and made our weekend as easy as can be with great communication and patience for any questions I had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back again!
