Located very close to ski slopes, Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway and golf courses.

Enjoy the outdoors skiing or hiking during the day - or just relax on the deck listening to the sound of the spring water. In the evening drink cocoa by the fire, snuggle up and read a book, or relax in the hot tub.

House was cozy and the view was breathtaking. The hot tub was amazing. Communication with the host was easy and response time was quick. I would definitely stay here again!

Overall an excellent stay

This is a beautiful property. It was clean and it had many wonderful amenities. The hot tub was definitely a favorite. The reason I cannot give it 5 stars is for 3 reasons. 1. There is only one TV in the cabin and while we were there the fire stick remote stopped working. That left us with only essentially 5 local channels. I was able to use the fire stick app on my phone, but without the help of my daughter, I am not sure I would have been able to do that. 2. The upstairs gets kind of stuffy. We found two wonderful fans in the closet that we used, but would have liked to have known about them prior to a sweaty first night. 3. And lastly, the pool situation. The owners were fully transparent that this house is not a part of the resort but that we could still use the 2 pools. What we didnt know is that we could only use the pools from 2pm-6pm. And they will NOT let you in earlier. We went to a pool at noon, it was completely empty and they still would not let my daughter swim. That was completely disappointing. Bottom line is that this is a wonderful place to stay, but may not be the best if you are traveling with kids who want to swim.

Long weekend getaway

This place is absolutely worth a revisit! My partner and I stayed for the long weekend and wanted peace and quiet! The back deck is super private with a grill and Hot tub to cook and relax in. The creek was our favourite part - we’d enjoy our coffee while listening to nature every morning and every evening. We definitely enjoyed eating our meals (if not outside) in the dining room with all the windows. We really only used the main floor since it was the two of us but this would be a great place for a larger group. Very clean, very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed (I love to cook!).

Charming Wintergreen Stay

We really enjoyed our short stay at this cabin! It was clean and had great amenities. The glass-enclosed dining room is amazing for watching nature and the changing weather. The hot tub was also great, and larger than we expected. Would book again!

Wintergreen escape

My family and I stayed at the house as part of a ski getaway and we all really enjoyed our stay. The house is well supplied, great fireplace, soothing creek in the back yard, and a great hot tub. Also, there are very cool walking trails nearby. Definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for a Wintergreen escape. Thanks!

Good location but Bad Cleanliness

This is a nice property except for the following items: 1. The driveway is quite steep and is gravel. Our car slipped sometimes trying to come/go from the driveway. Other driveways are much more flat, so this is unique to this house compared to the other nearby houses. 2. There were mouse droppings (like 50 in total) in the kitchen, sun room, bedroom corner, AND on the bedroom headboard (this means mice were crawling on the bed and headboard). There was also a dead mouse on the HVAC unit outside. 3. Dishes that were stored were dirty (and given the mouse droppings) required us to wash every dish and utensil before cooking. 4. Instructions said to toss out food, but the fridge and pantry had an odd collection of condiments, seasonings, and random things of food. Who knew how long that was in there (and what the mice got to), so that was pretty gross. 5. The water from the faucet tastes quite bad. Thankfully there was a pitcher filter in the fridge to use, which worked well (but also it was half full of water when we got there, so also took that apart and washed it before we used it). 6. The hot tub was slimy and the bubbles it made were creamy in consistency, which indicates it had not been cleaned properly and/or recently. 7. There may not be enough towels depending on your guests, especially if you are using the hot tub. 8. We did not get the access code for the property until 2 hours prior to check in.

Wonderful location

Perfect place to stay... Hot tub is great and clean. Plenty of blankets (but you wont need them)... Fast Internet!!! I suggest you bring you own fire starter and firewood as there in none nearby (that I could find)... You wont regret staying here.!

Close to resort

Amy was a great host. She communicated with us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. The home is stocked the basics, a few games, and pamphlets for things to do. The home was also very clean. The home was very close to the slopes so it was great for us while we went skiing. Cell service on the mountain was very spotty - as excepted but the home wifi was great. Check in and check out was very easy.

Cozy and Scenic

My husband and I visit wintergreen every year for his birthday. This year we included his 2 brothers and their wives. This home, located in wintergreen resort met our needs in every way. The bedrooms were beautiful and had ample bedding. We did not need to bring much as the home was fully stocked with cooking supplies, silver, and drinkware. We planned to go out to dinner but upon arrival decided to stay in and enjoy the lovely sounds/views of the creek, and the provided grill. There were a few card games that kept us entertained on the trip! From booking until we departed Amy was a fantastic host, providing details and checking in occasionally to ensure our stay was comfortable. Note: There were some things that looked like repairs and updates were taking place with the cosmetics of the house but that did not impact our stay. We would stay at this home again when we come back to Wintergreen.

Great house and lovely place!

We had a wonderful time in Wintergreen! The house has everything you might need- well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, cozy living room with TV and huge fireplace. Excellent internet. The deck is next to a relaxing babbling spring. Quiet and peaceful all around, very easy to communicate with the owner. Wintergreen is a gorgeous community with so much to explore. We will be back! Highly recommend!
