Cozy Cottage Short Stay, a small two-bedroom house, provides snug accommodations for your stay in the Wessington Springs area. It sleeps a family of 4 just right. Enjoy the backyard with a gorgeous view of the Wessington Hills and a short walk to Shakespeare Garden and Anne Hathaway Cottage.

Wess Springs has an active Main Street with full grocery store, coffee shop, flower and gifts shop, restaurants. Springs is nestled in the Wessington Hills and has a beautiful free City Park which is gorgeous in all seasons with a Nature Trail, free swimming, sledding and ice skating when weather cooperates.

Writer's Cottage, quiet getaway, Family reunions... We even have room to keep up two or three of your horses if you are traveling through.

Our Cozy Cottage is a perfect weekend get-away in a wonderful community. 40 minutes from Huron, 50 minutes from Mitchell, 1hr 45min from Sioux Falls.

It was so quite around the neighborhood. Gwyneth was wonderful. The people around us we great. And the hose reminds me of a southern hospitality home it was fantastic. We will be booking again same time next year if available. Pets were welcome and had room to run. Thank you again.

Charming property

We had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. The hosts were on top of our needs. It was cool when we got there, and the furnace had to be relit. The next day they were there taking care of that for us. Enjoyed our stay visiting family.

Great house, even better owners!

If I could give this review 20 stars, I would! We had such a great stay! Everything was wonderful, check in was easy, owners were on top of everything and very easy to contact. It felt like home. The house was very clean and you could tell a lot of thought went in to making it feel like your own home. There were games for my kids and horses in the back that they could feed apples to. My boys loved it. The owners were exceptional. There was an ice storm the night before we were supposed to leave and we would have had to drive back through terrible weather all the way home. (Ice, snow, tornadoes) They were so kind and opened their home to us since they weren't booked. For them to let us stay an extra night at no charge to keep my family safe was the most kind thing imaginable. I will most definitely be renting this house on our yearly family trips to Wessington Springs! Thank you Gwen and Pat!

Pheasant Hunting Trip

This small cottage was perfect for a hunting weekend with my boys and me. It’s dog friendly and the hunting was close. Wessington Springs is a nice little town and communication with the cottage owner was excellent. We would stay there again.

Still cozy, and always improving!

This is the third year we have stayed here, and the house has several upgrades that make it nicer every time. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Perfect stay, again!

Welcome!
The house offers a full kitchen, two-bedrooms, bathroom, living-dining area. We have a side door with no stairs. The house does not have stairs and is easily navigated.
The house is fully furnished, including kitchen-cooking needs: coffee pot, fridge, stove/oven, dishes, utensils, pots and pans. Amenities include AC, wireless internet, and tv with basic cable. Located on a quiet street seven blocks from Main Street on the north side of town with plenty of outside area to enjoy. Easy few blocks walk to Shakespeare Garden to the south or the 4H rodeo grounds to the north.
sleeps from 1-4 people easily, additional with added bed, air mattress, etc. Just let us know your needs. We love dogs!
bedroom one: one queen bed, closet, night table, reading light
bedroom two: one single bed, closet, night table, reading light (option for toddler bed, lofted single bed)
living room: Queen fold-out sofa couch

DOGS:
Dogs are welcome: clean up poop in the yard daily, allowed inside the house but must be kenneled at night, not allowed on furniture. Each dogs +$5/night. Please kennel if left alone at the house.
