Wonderful stay

The place was in a great location, clean, attractive, roomy, and the kitchen was well stocked. The host was very attentive to any concerns and responded quickly. It was a great stay.

Malia Makai E Egret

The property was clean and the basics were there for us. The kitchen materials were a little sparse, no measuring cups or spoons for preparing food, minimal dishes, we ended up buying paper plates to compensate. We loved the view from the back lanai and that it was shaded until about 2 pm which was a nice cool break from the beach to eat our lunch. We actually ate most of our meals there as we did not enjoy sitting on the tall and rather dangerous kitchen bar stools. We would have preferred a tiny table with 2 chairs. The master bedroom could use a more comfortable bed as that is certainly where you spend the most time indoors while visiting Kauai. We like most guests were gone to the beach or participating in other activities during the daytime. We were gone all day

For this place, the great location was everything. Many incredible restaurants nearby, and a very short walk to Poipu beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at Egret, The view from the front window is gorgeous of the ocean and sunset each night. We were fortunate that for most of the stay no one else was around us in the other units, so it was very quiet. We liked the layout, the kitchen was great for cooking and the air conditioning was amazing With separate AC controls in the living room and each bedroom. The beds were very comfortable and everything worked well. If we were in Poipu, we would stay here again! It was affordable for the area and a short walk to Poipu beach.

Perfect for Us

The location of this property was perfect, giving us easy access to Poipu Beach (and shops/restaurants), as well as the west, east, and north sides of the island. Everything was as advertised. We particularly enjoyed the beach supplies and comfortable beds. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great place close to beach

Simple, clean, just what we expected and needed. Check in was easy. Great communication prior to leaving and upon arrival/throughout stay. Very close (under 5 min) walk to beaches and restaurant. We appreciated all the loaner gear- beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards. House was well stocked. We had a great holiday!

Great getaway!

Great location just minutes from Poipu beach by foot...no parking hassles! Nice ocean view, very pleasant. We asked our host for an extra lamp and it showed up next morning.

Not as Described

We were expecting more from the descriptions of past guests, but we were disappointed with some of the furnishings. We had no bar height counter stools for our meals as that was the only eating area provided. The stools were 12" too short and made it impossible to eat sitting down. We stood or used our laps as a table. There was no lighting in the living area except for a ceiling fan that didn't work. The fan in the second bedroom could not be controlled by the remote. We contacted housekeeping and maintenance, but nobody could solve the problem. The description said they had an air fryer and a crockpot but neither appliance existed in our unit. The other appliances and cookware were adequate. The shower door leaked onto the bathroom floor causing a puddle every time it was used. Besides this, the view from the living area was beautiful. The location was convenient to the beaches and shopping.

Great Location

We had an amazing stay! The location was perfect and fit our needs our vacation. Our only complaint was the toilet was broken when we arrived with a note written on a paper towel with a work around to flush the toilet. Would have been nice if they would have taken care of it before we arrived since they knew it wasn’t working properly. However the host was very responsive and someone did come to look at it the next day. Also, there wasn’t really anywhere to sit and eat dinner in the house. There was only counter height stools at the bar top so a little awkward to eat our food. With the exception of those minor things this place was great and we would definitely stay again!

Amazing time

Thanks for having us, we had an amazing time enjoying the sunsets, the close walk to the beach and also being well located to explore Kokee state park and Waimea Canyon. We had a special plus - watching turtles resting at Poipu beach. Couldn’t be any better. The flat was great. Tidy, clean and very spacious for us.

An okay place to stay

The buildup in the description and the 5-star reviews raised my expectations. I thought 5 star was a measure of the highest quality, but I honestly did not see that here. My assessment while staying at the Egret, it is similar to a 2.5 – 3 star hotels at best- just clean and comfortable enough for your stay. The bar stools were a foot too short as the counter came up to our necks (they were not the chairs shown in the description). The seals around the shower door leaked, soaking the floor when in use. The light and fan in the master bedroom went on and off randomly all day and night, waking us on several occasions (I think the neighbors had the same remote, causing the problem). I thought the coffee pot was disgusting and requested a replacement. The manager and crew were very accommodating and responsive to our needs and addressed all our concerns, which we appreciated.

Amazing amazing amazing

Enjoyed our stay at Egret. Updated and very modern style inside. It had all the amenities needed, ACs in all the bedrooms and living room, never was uncomfortable. Beach equipment was provided in a shared space between the other 3 units, but there’s so much chairs and umbrellas and other misc things that we always had what we needed. Host was very responsive and helpful, made the check in/check out process clear and easy. Location was top tier. Short walk to the amazing Poipu beach. We went every evening to watch the abundant of turtles on shore. thanks so much, enjoyed our time in Kauai, we would stay here again for sure!!

Loved the location. Not in the middle of a touristy area. The place is really impressive inside. It’s very modern and had everything and more that we could want. I’d 100% stay there again and recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Kauai.

Just blocks from the beach!

We were very pleased with the unit. The beds were super comfy and the ac’s worked. The area felt safe. The beach chairs and toys were really thoughtful. The free washer and dryer is also so helpful. My only cons at all is I saw a 3 or 4 dead roaches. However there are combat trap things discreetly around so they arent trying to hide it. I suppose its just part of being near the water. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!

Great location and views!

Amazing rental with gorgeous view of the beach and quick access as well. Loved the decor and had everything we needed for days at the beach. Only downfalls were that we wished there had been a broom to sweep up sand, as the vacuum didnt work great for that. We also didn't have any beach towels initially, but they eventually brought some for us with chocolates! No dishwasher soap for us to start dishes before leaving. LOVED the location!! Would highly recommend!!

Great house, fantastic location

Our family found the house to be exactly what we wanted. The location was fantastic, close to beaches and restaurants while midway between all of our various excursions on the island. We also took advantage of of the beach supplies available, like body boards and chairs.

Very enjoyable!

Excellent location, easy to find. The instructions to access parking and lockbox were very clear. This place was very clean and pretty, and had everything we needed. The toilet is amazing. Would definitely stay here again.
