Welcome to The Great Escape
This stunning oceanfront 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home is located in the highly desirable Village of Stump Sound and offers panoramic ocean views that will leave you speechless.

Community Amenities Include:

• Day dock (great for launching kayaks and paddleboards)

And the best part? Direct beach access right from your back steps—no need to cross the street or pack the car!

Inside the Home
The top level features a fully stocked kitchen that makes cooking and entertaining a breeze. With spacious dining and lounging areas, comfy sofas, and expansive ocean-facing decks, this level is designed for memory-making.

All four bedrooms are on one floor, a rare and convenient layout:
• King suite with private bathroom and sliding door to oceanfront deck
• Second king room with en suite access to shared bathroom
• Two bunk rooms with pyramid bunks (sleep up to 3 per room)
• Washer and dryer also on this level

Three of the four bedrooms have direct oceanfront deck access, letting you wake up to the sounds of the waves.

We loved this house. Amazing views, great beach access. The beach was incredible. The house was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Home and View

We stayed last year also in this beautiful home and it is a perfect location in the beach. It does allow pets (although we did not bring ours) and there are plenty of pet accoutrements. We met the owner last year and she was very congenial. Although we brought most supplies this home is always well supplied with bath paper, cleaning supplies, beach towels, detergent etc. We really enjoyed our stay!

Amazing Location!

The location of the beach house is amazing! It is clean, well-stocked and super comfy! Everything you need is in the house! We had such a nice time and the locals are helpful and the food was great in the area. We would stay again!

Beautiful home, an amazing place to stay!

We LOVED our stay! It exceeded our expectations on every level. It’s so close to the beach! The house is big and comfortable for our large family. It had beach chairs/toys and all the starter items we needed for a great vacation! We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay!!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was perfect and fully stocked with everything we needed for the week. Having your own private walkway to the beach was amazing. There were so many personal touches throughout the house that truly made you feel like you were at home. Highly recommend and we will definitely book again.

Perfect Stay

This was the perfect place for our last minute trip during Christmas. Great view and access to the beach. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. House is very CLEAN, roomy and welcoming! We felt right at home!

Weekly Vacation

The Great Escape was such a beautiful property with amazing views and the easiest access to the beach! The cottage was the most stocked properties I have ever stayed at! My family and I had a wonderful time! We plan to rent again!

Great vacation

So relaxing!

We all enjoyed our vacation! The ability to get right back to the house from the beach was awesome. Our pups enjoyed the beach and water. The gates on the porches and walkways made it so relaxing with dogs. The kitchen was well equipped and made cooking there easy. We loved staying at Great Escape

BEAUTIFUL!!!

This was the most beautiful and absolute cleanest place I have ever stayed in!! It was also the most stocked place I have ever stayed in! The only thing that would make this place perfect would be an elevator.

Family Vacation

Relaxing summer

Beautiful oceanfront retreat

The week we rented was during Hurricane and Tropical Storm Debby. Because of the home’s proximity to the beach we were able to time some visits to the ocean and beach. Also very thankful the property was oceanfront because we could watch the storm bounce around the waves!

Beautiful, relaxing home with perfect views!

This was a very clean home with spectacular views of the ocean. We loved the location and privacy. It was the most well stocked beach house we’ve ever rented and the owners gave much attention to detail, making our stay extra special. Overall, super relaxing, spacious and exceeded our expectations. Loved hearing the ocean waves every night. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Beautiful home on a beautiful stretch of beach!

Our family had a wonderful week here in September...the home was beautiful, plenty room for extended family. The kitchen and baths were well stocked with basics as well as extras we did not expect (like coffee pods, dog toys and treats, extra pet cushions, plenty of umbrellas and beach toys and chairs). Kitchen utensils, extra baggies, and even spices were there for sharing. Two great decks: one with full sun and one with full shade, plenty of chairs and room for everyone to have what they want from a trip to the beach. Beach area was wide, especially at low tide, but walkable all the time. Area was just a quick drive to restaurants and shops. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable with easy access to beach. Pool was easily accessible and just a few houses up. Thanks for letting us stay! Hope to be back next year!!

House Steps Away From the Beach

The Great Escape was clean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cookware. The beach was steps away with access from the house. Our pup enjoyed walking on the beach and house was very dog friendly. The pictures of the house were very accurate. A very enjoyable stay.

Wonderful family vacation at The Great Escape!

House was amazing with special touches from the owner. Flashlights for crabbing, chargers for electronics, a complete coffee bar with variety of flavors, many starter items, beach toys, beach chairs, high chair for our 1 year old grandson, pack & play. The owner really did a great job making us feel welcome at The Great Escape. Would highly recommend!

A Truly Great Escape

A very nice home with the kind of details that turn an ordinary weekend into something special. VERY clean! Things such as bathroom essentials, nice stocked kitchen, dog toys and people toys, 2 coffee makers, and a beach view that was a serene delight. The owners made a sincere effort to make our time enjoyable! Look forward to a return visit...

Perfect beach trip

We were pleasantly surprised with this beach house. They say it's small things that count! They left us little things to take home as welcome gifts. Theyy provided us with coffee , TP, detergent etc. We didn't need to go shopping the min we got in which was amazing. Ill give this property 5+ stars

Can't miss stay on Topsail Island

Can't say enough good things about our experience at The Great Escape. The property was beautiful and was exactly as described/pictured. Having stayed in 10+ beach rentals in the last few years, this was definitely the cleanest and best furnished. Lots of great little touches (like the fully stocked coffee station, paper towels, dish soap, etc) and very suitable for little kids. The location itself was a dream; located in a quiet private neighborhood that made it seem like we had our own private beach. Our only regret was not staying longer. We will be back.

Beautiful beach house

Our family of 8 plus 2 dogs 🐶 had an amazing week at this beautiful beach house. The views were incredible. Just sitting on the deck early in the morning watching the sun come up. The place was very clean. Everything you could need was available. Towels, Beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, dog toys! Which my dogs loved. Kitchen was stocked. Great location. Beach never crowded. Nice community and local restaurants. Looking forward to coming back next year! ❤️
