A beautiful property with a masterful collection of art and objects from the owner's life travels. The green belt is so special and within easy reach of Barton Springs and everything Downtown has to offer. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Very cool Zilker location

We moved away from Austin in 2018, and this was our first trip back as a family. This house was an awesome home base. Perfect location for everything you’d want to do in Austin. Comfy beds, cold AC, great patio, a well stocked kitchen, and interesting decor. 10/10 recommend, would definitely stay again.

Family Gathering

We selected this property for our family to gather as we renewed our vows. My husband and I stayed at the property but the hosts graciously allowed us to have our family join us for a small ceremony. We chose the property because of its beauty both inside and out, as well as the location’s access to Zilker, Lady Bird Lake, terrific restaurants and downtown.

Beautiful property located in a quaint quiet neighborhood at a cul-de-sac. Peaceful, beautiful property. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone interested in staying away from the hubbub of downtown but close enough to all attractions.

Lovely home, interesting neighborhood.

Met our son and his family in Austin for a few days. The twin bedroom was great for the two little ones. It was freezing, so never got a chance to enjoy the lovely yard. Really enjoyed the house, and the very charming neighborhood. I would definitely recommend.

We're a retired couple who split our time between our home in Austin TX and our working farm/ranch outside of Seguin TX, punctuated by visits to our grown children and grandchildren in Austin and Denver CO. plus travel around the US, Mexico, Canada, South America and Europe.
Over the years we have filled our home with art and interesting objects from all of these places, plus ... more importantly ... our family, friends, music and love.
We bought our first home in Barton Hills over 40 years ago never left the neighborhood. Then, as now, we were drawn to the incredible natural peace and scenic beauty of Austin's Barton Creek Greenbelt and Barton Springs Pool, juxtaposed magically in the heart of Austin, the most interesting, vital and creative city in the US. Our kids thrived growing up here.
We have enjoyed sharing our home with guests from around the world since 2011. Based on our reviews, our guests seem to really love staying here.
We pride ourselves on being friendly, courteous, responsive, responsible, informative and accessible (but not intrusive) hosts and we look forward to welcoming you to our home.
Our home has been fully licensed by the City of Austin as a Class I short term rental since city licensing began in 2013. We collect and remit applicable city and state hotel occupancy taxes on all bookings, and maintain compliance with all of the evolving ordinances and regulations governing short term rentals in Austin and the State of Texas.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

As long-time residents of Barton Hills, we noticed and admired this simple Santa Fe-style cliffside casita when it was built in 1979-80. Later, when we learned that the original owners were moving to Colorado, we jumped at the opportunity to own it ourselves. We love its location overlooking the Greenbelt, and we especially love the fact that many of our neighbors are also some of our oldest dearest friends.

We (and most of our guests) think it's unique to find a place that combines such tranquility, interior interest, and proximity to unspoiled natural beauty in the very heart of this fun and vibrant "forever young" city.
