Welcome to “Trout Pond” on Lake Wylie. Experience lakefront living at its best. Gaze out at scenic lake views from the large rustic deck, or stroll down to the private beach to enjoy the large floating dock.

This delightful rustic cabin has all you need to experience hiking, fishing, canoeing, birding, or just kick back and relax, surrounded by natural beauty. All this is just minutes from quaint shops and dining.

**** We are always looking for 5-Star reviews, so we continue to upgrade. New windows and doors. The cottage is newly painted. Outdoor stairs to the dock were completely rebuilt. New cedar outdoor shower, cover for the lower dock and resurfacing of the upper dock have been completed***

Continue to explore upstairs as you enter the spacious master bedroom with its newly appointed Queen comforter and decorative pillows. Upstairs bathroom with shower/tub and large vanity with lots of lighting and supplies. Tastefully decorated with rustic furnishings you’ll be delighted no matter which bedroom you choose to fall into a peaceful slumber. Sleeping arrangements are 1st bedroom with Queen bed with large 50" Smart TV, 2nd bedroom - with Queen also with large 50" Smart TV. The living room features a Queen oversized sleeper sofa and a large 55" Smart TV. This delightful natural lake cabin sleeps 6 adults comfortably in beds.

Feel free to pack lightly on your Charlotte getaway when you travel to this natural cabin, as you'll be able to refresh your laundry in the new front-loading washer and dryer. No need to fumble with keys and lock boxes as this exceptional rental is equipped with quick & easy keyless entry.

The property has a huge boat dock in deep water with a boat slip. The boat slip includes a platform ladder to climb out of the water after jumping off the dock. There is a beach for kids to play in the sand, wade in shallow water, or skip rocks.

MUST BE ABLE TO CLIMB STAIRS. This property contains many stairs. Stairs to and from the parking area to the front door. The house has stairs to the 2nd level where the bathroom and bedrooms are located. And there are stairs to and from the boat dock and beach.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Trout Pond! From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, the experience is wonderful. The home is beautifully renovated while still keeping its cozy cottage charm. The lights leading to the dock make the whole area feel truly magical. It’s the perfect spot to relax, yet still close to so many great things to do.The real highlight, though, wasn’t just the house, it was the lovely Allen Trout. During our stay, we had a small issue with the air conditioner, and within 30 minutes Allen was at the house working to figure out the problem. He was so friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely cared about making our stay comfortable.Allen is a big part of why we would absolutely stay again. 10/10 would recommend this beautiful space for your next trip!

Overall it was a sweet place to stay. When it described steps, there are lots of steps. I handled them well yet my wife has balance issues which posed minimal problems. She's used to it. Located at the end of the road and although obvious, the house mumber took a bit to locate. Be careful parking. No 'curbside' parking stops. Use better judgment than me!!! Instructions for locating included items very detailed and located on the refrigerator. They are a good immediate read. Need power plug in outside sitting area or i just didn’t locate it. Lighting diagram would make locating specific lights but there's not too many switches most can navigate easily enough. It was quite and peaceful for us. It was our 34th wedding anniversary. You are not far from civilization if anything is needed and many close by choices for eating out. Im sure we will be back!

What a great spot. Photos don’t do it justice. Open floor plan on first floor, whole place tidy and comfortable. Such a private and relaxing view above the lake, from two different levels, the patio, and then the large upper deck. We saw turtles, heron, fireflies, and the fish were jumping. There’s a covered portion of the dock with a picnic table, and a separate floating dock with a swim ladder. Jumping in the lake is recommended!

Perfect Lake Getaway

The house is really cute! Decorated stocked well with necessities. It was the perfect location right on the lake. We did not get a chance to use the patio around that over looks the lake but it has these amazing rocking chairs on. I was so impressed with the bed I am on the hunt for a bed just like it for home. It was everything we could have asked for and we will definitely be back.

Beautiful and charming lakeside home

Home was charming and welcoming! Perfect cozy and quiet lakeside house. We had a blast at the lake and the home had everything we needed for a great stay. Our family had a great vacation here! House had all the amenities we could have wanted for a visit to the lake. Will visit again!

Great Place to stay

It’s hard to find an affordable place for a family of 5. The house was great and Allen was very responsive. There is a lot of stairs which is in the description so be aware of that. The house had everything we needed and the location is great. You’ll get some great sunsets here!

Great Views and Location

Stayed here with my family and friends for a few days to relax and we had a very peaceful week. Beautiful views from the house overlooking the lake and very large dock with deck to lay out and enjoy the sunshine. Highly recommend!!
