Our family had a great time and we’re so grateful to have found such a well maintained property! It was very clean, had every amenity we needed and more, and had more than enough room for all of us. The property manager was super responsive leading up to and during our stay. We are looking forward to making this an annual trip for our family.

Your property was very nice! The location is excellent and the walking trail is very nice! The house has a lot of room and plenty of bedrooms and beds. The chairs and couches are very comfortable. It was ideal to have two large refrigerator freezers! The house was clean and well maintained. I would recommend this location for large families! Thank you!

Enjoyable Experience

Our group of 3 families had a really great stay. The house setup inside was perfect and the kids enjoyed the bunk bed room. The fact that holiday decorations were kept up made our NY trip perfect. We did drive to Cascade Ski Resort to ski which is 1 hr away. This is the closest decent skiing. There is tubing 40 min away which requires no reservations. The property had everything we needed and was very clean. The two main things that would make it perfect would be 1) Better WiFi, speeds are abysmal we had difficulty maintaining decent video streaming speeds for 1 device which is unacceptable in today's age, please WORK on this 2) Consider getting an under-the-sink disposal unit or at the very least purchase additional sink drain strainers (only 1 available) it made washing the dishes difficult as the sick kept getting clogged up. Otherwise a great property. We highly recommend it! Would love to check it out again during the summer months.

A lovely long weekend away

We had an absolutely lovely time in this beautiful home. We made use of the fire pit and roasted s’mores, we walked the little trail behind the houses, we went to the extremely close state park and hiked, and we drove the 40 minutes to the Wisconsin Dells for a water park day. One note for future travelers using Google maps. It will tell you to turn into random trees, obviously don’t. And there were no tissues. Normally toilet paper works in a pinch but my son had a cold so we bought a box. No big deal. Just a heads up.

Nice place

This worked well for our group of all ages. Infant, two year children and adults. The pier was nice for our pontoon. We will be booking again next year.

Wilderness Vacation Lake Home

This was a well appointed property located in a very rural area. Roaming deer were abundant with wildlife and birds scurrying around. We had 8 adults in the group and 2 late teenagers. No problems with sleeping accommodations. Besides having a great body of water to play on, it is only a short drive to groceries or fast food it desired. Wisconsin Dells and major airports are within reasonable driving distance. All in the group had a great time. Thanks for the memories, especially around the fire pit at night.

It was our pleasure to stay at this lovely home with my college besties. As soon as you pull into the driveway you are engulfed by the beauty of the tall pines and peaceful surroundings. The home's interior layout and furnishings are fantastic. its cozy yet elegant. The lighting is even well thought out. Lots of natural light from the floor to ceiling windows that invite you to GO OUTSIDE! Kitchen is massive and well appointed with EVERYTHING you need and more. The open space of living room and dining room is perfect for conversation while cooking and even dancing😉. Each bedroom has plenty of space the best BEDS! you do not hear any sound from the kitchen or living room! so if your early bed everyone else can stay up and you will not hear a thing. The yard facing the lake has a huge firepit where we enjoyed the stars and hours of conversation. Castle Rock Lake is in your backyard! How did i not know this natural wonder existed? its massive with fun bars/resturants and sandbars surrounded with dells and towering pines. The hosts did a wonderful job with this home and had YOU in mind. You need to book this with your friends or family it will be a memorable time.

Once Upon a Dream could be Twice (or more) upon a Dream

We really enjoyed our family vacation in this beautiful home on Castle Rock Lake! The house is big, beautiful & decorated nicely, with plenty of room for everyone! Having three full bathrooms was great for our group! Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need - dishes, silverware, coffee mugs, glasses, pots & pans, storage containers, casserole dishes, etc. There is a nice fire-pit that we enjoyed for several nights with Adirondack chairs around it. A nice big deck with table, umbrella and chairs. Made use of the gas grill also! Lots to do on and around the huge lake. Would have liked better weather, but Mother Nature did her thing. No fault of "Once Upon a Dream". We will be back again!

Overall the stay was great. A few items that could be addressed. - larger garbage and recycle bins should be provided or someone should come often to remove garbage from the site. - A welcome book with expectations for departure (bedding, etc.), local things and boat access should be put together. We have stayed in other Cottage Keeper run homes and they provide a binder with this information and find it helpful. -If the owner agrees to take out his boat for a fee he should note that there is a pontoon lift left in its place. We were not able to utilize the space.
