Note we did NOT stay at this location, we tried, yet was denied.We booked this property only to then receive a msg from Mike that the home is not actually avail [its being rented by a long term renter] and the *WE* needed to cancel.This is not proper protocol so I went ahead and let him know as well as let VRBO know. If we sent the cancel in, then we'd be subject to fees and even a bad review as renters. This is NOT ok.After MUCH conversation with VRBO, who also tried to say *we* needed to cancel, I also had to inform them of protocol and the Mike actually stated that it was *HIS* error [which was shown in our vrbo msgs].So after many hours, it was finally dealt with by the next day.Yes was it all an error, on Mike's end, yes. YET WE are NOT responsible for that.Unfortunate event all around...we somehow have been "reviewed" by Mike, even with NOT staying at his property. So should we receive a poor review, VRBO will be contacted again as retaliation will not be tolerated.
