Whether your traveling thru visiting WTAMU or the Palo Duro Canyon or just need a place to get away, Spicer Bunkhouse has everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing stay. SB is 5 miles from WTAMU and 13 from the entrance of the Palo Duro Canyon. Stars at night and magnificent rises and sunsets are right outside. There is a fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer and a desk with wireless printer if you want to take a working vacation or are a digital nomad.

We enjoyed our stay so much!! The Spicer Bunkhouse is a perfect get away for anyone looking for solitude and relaxation. The soaking claw foot tub is an exceptional addition to the beautifully appointed amenities!! We will definitely be back

Becky is an amazing host and the amenities were first rate. We were blown away by how spacious and well appointed this cabin is! The pictures really don't do it justice. We came to visit Palo Duro canyon and Becky's cabin is a perfect location! If we are ever in the area again we will definitely book this property!

Adorable property that had everything we needed for our trip to Palo Duro Canyon. Home was well kept and cutely decorated in a west Texas vibe. The snacks and drinks in the fridge were a nice touch.My kids loved playing with the property dogs and having horses and donkeys nearby.Becky was a great host.

Just wow!! I cannot say enough good things about the Cowboy Casita. Our youngest is a freshman at WT and we have had the pleasure of staying at Becky's a few times now. From the minute you drive into the property you know that you are in for an amazing experience. The home is stunning and Becky is an incredible host. Of course the dogs make the experience unforgettable. You will not be disappointed !!! Five stars is not enough.

Spicer Bunkhouse

Wonderful 3-night stay at the Spicer Bunkhouse! Peaceful country setting with horses and donkeys, yet minutes from Palo Duro Canyon. The Western decor was charming and cozy, and Becky thought of everything. Her attention to detail made our anniversary extra special. A perfect mix of comfort, charm, and convenience. A taste of West Texas

We loved our stay here. We were visiting from another part of Texas, and I think this home would give folks from out of state a great taste of authentic West Texas. The home feels like you're staying at a friend's house. It's very well furnished and includes lots of personal touches like family history and photos, beautiful artwork, and heirloom pieces without feeling fussy. The beds were comfortable, the water was hot, snacks were waiting for us in the kitchen, and the family animals on property were excellent greeters. If you're traveling with someone with mobility issues, I think the only thing to be aware of is that there are steps from the driveway to the main door, there's a step down from the main living area to the bedroom area, and there's a small step into the shower in the main bathroom. This place was beautiful, thoughtfully done, and a real pleasure. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect!

The whole experience was delightful. Becky was a great host and made everything seamless and easy. The property is wonderful. Charming house, beautiful sunsets and horses that give that authentic ranch feel. Kitchen is so well equipped! The house is decorated in a most charming style. It’s a short drive to the canyon so very convenient We loved every minute of our stay and highly recommend this property.

Comfortable Casita in Canyon

Wonderful stay near the Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Idyllic property, with a quiet modernized casita on an active horse farm. Becky, the owner, is most attentive and the home was well stocked with every creature comfort with a well stocked cooks kitchen (plus snacks, coffee and tea), comfortable couches and beds, and even warm blankets and candles. The family has a long history with horses, and the home reflects it in the photos, books and vintage decor. There is a porch on two sides with plenty of chairs for sitting and greeting the on site dogs and watching the beautiful horses in the Texas breeze. Relaxing, comfortable, close to town and the canyon. Perfection!

Spicer Bunkhouse

We really enjoyed our stay over Thanksgiving! Becky was a perfect host and her bunkhouse is amazing! It is stocked with everything you need and is a short drive to Palo Duro State Park. We had a great time just hanging at the bunkhouse, playing games, enjoying the view of the horses and getting visits from her cute dogs. Thanks for having us Becky!

Country living at it’s finest

Turning into the drive, blue quail were at the gate and ran just in front then to the side of our pickup. That told us we were in a good place. With the horses and donkey in the pasture beside the property, barns and stables as well, the setting was perfect. The house is really nice, very comfortable, very clean, very country. No city noise out here. That was why we chose to stay there. Becky was great, available if needed. You will not be disappointed in this one. Wish i could load a picture, the sunset was amazing. We hope to stay there again. Bill & Patty

A slice of Texas Panhandle heaven.

You are not just booking a home, but an entire experience. Becky has created a very special place in Texas’ Panhandle. We were treated to a wonderful home with no detail missed, to the property complete with horses and an infinite horizon to watch the sunsets. We were here for a family wedding and our six year old granddaughter was fascinated by the horses. Becky let her help feed the horses and donkeys, an experience and memory she will never forget. Family Vacation

Becky was a stellar host! Her property is a peaceful oasis just south of the community of Canyon. The property is so well appointed! Becky has truly thought of everything. Grab a few groceries and don’t go anywhere…you’ll be delighted! But it’s also conveniently located to Canyon (with several good restaurants), Amarillo and especially the gorgeous Palo Duro Canyon. You really need to stay here, would do it again in a heart beat!! You won’t find a better place to experience something new!!
